    Stay Classy Denver.

This venue took me by surprise. When you walk in, it's like a hybrid dive bar-nightclub. The staff is mellow and doesn't talk much. They wear all black and pour stiff drinks. The crowd is eclectic and sprinkled throughout from the tables to the bar top. Then 10pm hits. Most of the original patrons stick around and *boom*. Men rocking collared shirts and women dressed in skin tight dresses show up and take over the dance floor. Everyone is salsa dancing or shaking their rump. What is happening?! Magic. What stole the show for me were the tacos. Apparently there is a food truck crew that takes over their kitchen at night and prepares the pockets of corn tortilla magic. The El Pastor was my favorite. Pork and pineapples. The fried avocado was also very satisfying. Not sure when I'll be back, but I might have to dust off my dancing shoes. After a few tequila shots of course.

Blue Ice is a cool spot with a mixed crowd and a good mix of music. Not a place where local blacks would call a staple tho.

    Are there salsa lessons here?

This Friday night what kind of music are they going to play are they going to play Reggaeton and Cumbia?

Mostly they are playing salsa plus all other latin music as well.

Hi I'm trying to find out what the dark alternative on Tuesday nights is? I'll be in town for a Monday and Tuesday night but not sure I'll make it for much time on Monday night to enjoy some bachata?

They used to do Dark Tuesday, but not anymore it was gothic music was very fun.

After my first queso…read moretaco dipped into that rich, glorious consomé, I became someone who casually considers flying to Denver "for lunch." I started going when they were still operating out of their food truck, and honestly, watching them grow into a permanent restaurant feels like seeing your favorite underground band finally make it big... except instead of music, they're dropping cheesy taco masterpieces. The queso tacos are absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way: crispy, cheesy, messy, and worth ruining at least one shirt over. And the consome? That stuff could heal emotional damage. It's rich, comforting, and somehow makes you immediately want "just one more taco" even when you're already full. Every time I'm in Denver, this place is mandatory. Not optional. Not "if there's time." Mandatory. My vacation itinerary basically starts with flights and ends with tacos. So happy to see Kike's getting the recognition they deserve. If you haven't been yet, prepare to have your standards permanently ruined for all other tacos.

The horchata, though? Genuinely great. I actually also really liked the elote but my partner didn't. The consomé was fine, nothing memorable. It's a decent enough spot to swing by, but I'm not going out of my way to come back tbh.

It's also very unassuming. It looks like a very small restaurant on the outside but once you are inside, you'll be shocked to see its good size dining area. This place is all about happiness. I mean seriously!! They care about their customers that get satisfied with their service and meals. And it does draw a very diverse crowd from the Hispanics to Caucasians to Asians, I mean you name it. They also get a lot of to-go orders. Some people came in, grabbed their food and went on their way for the night. My friend got the Torta Los Carboncito. This is a massive sandwich with plenty of meat inside. Since the menu has colored picofor almost each item, what caught my attention was the fish dish. There are two of them: one is trout and the other is something else (I forgot) but I got me the non-trout one. The lady asked me if I wanted the flour or corn tortillas so I went with the corn one. As soon as I got home, my late night snacking started. I only took several bites out of that whatever the huge fish. And oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Well-seasoned with very light salt. Although I mainly got it for tomorrow morning/lunch I had a hard time quit eating because of its deliciousness. Extremely welcoming staff (I even met the owner, Alex as he was dining with his family), quality food and value pricing, this place checks out for the hidden gem restaurant that's not necessarily super fancy but it's worth every penny and time. Yelping is so much fun. That is why I cannot quit my foodie-ness! What a nice discovery!

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Good meal but a lot of work and hassle!…read more Very limited parking. Left side of the building are a few parking spots shared by several businesses. Good luck getting a spot. Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle.
