There was a gentleman who appeared to be a manager who was very friendly and did check in on us, which we appreciated. At the same time, there appeared to be a few other manager-type employees, including the hostess, walking around while the actual service staff seemed stretched thin. It felt like the restaurant could have benefited from additional servers or bussers rather than having so many people overseeing the floor. Overall, the food was great and the restaurant itself is beautiful, but the service and atmosphere made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. For a restaurant that seems to be aiming for a more upscale experience, I would expect the hospitality and service to match. Unfortunately, based on both of our experiences here, I don't think we'll be back.

So I looked up the 10 best in Hollister and Harvest Time Roadhouse popped up. We showed up in various groups - almost hitting 100 people. They did not hesitate to accommodate our very large group. There is a separate large room to the left and an outdoor area which worked out incredibly well for us and our family. The entire staff was on point and did not miss a beat, got every single food and drink order and were so kind and empathetic to our entire group of family and friends. The staff was so amazing - especially Candace. That girl is top notch and took the best care of ALL of us. I didn't catch the other server helping Candace or the other bar tenders but they were ALL great! The food was good. Drinks were good w/ lots of great draft beers on tap AND have N/A beers (super important these days) and so so reasonably priced for all the great service and amount of food and drinks we got. Ps I'm vegan and they even have vegan options! Huge shout out and the sincerest thanks to Candace m, the entire staff, cooks and the owner. Can't say enough of how well they took great care of all of us! So grateful. It took lots off our family to end a hard day there.
