So I looked up the 10 best in Hollister and Harvest Time Roadhouse popped up. We showed up in various groups - almost hitting 100 people. They did not hesitate to accommodate our very large group. There is a separate large room to the left and an outdoor area which worked out incredibly well for us and our family. The entire staff was on point and did not miss a beat, got every single food and drink order and were so kind and empathetic to our entire group of family and friends. The staff was so amazing - especially Candace. That girl is top notch and took the best care of ALL of us. I didn't catch the other server helping Candace or the other bar tenders but they were ALL great! The food was good. Drinks were good w/ lots of great draft beers on tap AND have N/A beers (super important these days) and so so reasonably priced for all the great service and amount of food and drinks we got. Ps I'm vegan and they even have vegan options! Huge shout out and the sincerest thanks to Candace m, the entire staff, cooks and the owner. Can't say enough of how well they took great care of all of us! So grateful. It took lots off our family to end a hard day there.

The bacon cheeseburger I received looked nothing like the advertised photos and came with only one piece of bacon. After asking about it, I waited over 5 minutes for more bacon, which ended up being undercooked. I also ordered garlic fries, but they were cold when served. When I brought it up, I was told it was my fault because I let them sit, even though they were already cold when they arrived. To make matters worse, I had to wait another 10+ minutes while the waitress called the owner because I wasn't satisfied with the food. The milkshake was good, but at $10, the prices overall are very high for the quality and service received. For the cost, I expected much better food, customer service, and consistency with what is advertised. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

10/10 - Our New Favorite Spot!…read more Just had an AMAZING experience at JJ's Burgers in San Juan Bautista, and I'm still blown away by how good everything was! First off, the portion sizes are crazy generous -- seriously, you will NOT leave hungry. A huge shoutout to Roxanna, who gave us some of the best customer service we've ever had. She greeted us the moment we walked in and told us to sit anywhere we liked. Menus were brought out immediately, and when I asked for recommendations, she gave super detailed info about the menu favorites -- including her personal picks. Thanks to her suggestions, I ordered the Mushroom Burger with garlic fries, and WOW... hands down the best garlic fries I've ever had. The burger was insanely delicious and packed with flavor. I tried my best to finish it, but the portions were so big I had to tap out (even after sharing fries!). My son ordered onion rings and a cookies & crème milkshake, and he loved both. We shared the onion rings because he couldn't finish them either -- again, HUGE portions. And according to him, the milkshake is the best ever. Service-wise? Easily a 10-star experience. Roxanna checked on us often, made sure we had everything we needed, and I noticed she treated all the customers with the same level of friendliness and attention. She's patient, personable, and really elevates the whole dining experience. We'll definitely be back -- this just became our new go-to spot!

I ordered the Diane steak and loved it, and my in laws really enjoyed the salmon. My sister in law ordered the apricot chicken but was disappointed that it was made with chicken thigh, since the menu did not specify that and she was expecting chicken breast. It was definitely an expensive dinner, and for the price, I do think some complimentary bread and butter would have been a nice touch. Our waitress also brought out a complimentary birthday dessert, which we really appreciated. I wish I had caught her name because she truly provided wonderful service. Overall, we had a very nice birthday dinner and would come back.

Unfortunately, on this visit, the same blonde-haired hostess who turned me away previously made comments to my family and me about our attire. Although we were seated and able to eat this time, the comments were unnecessary and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The restaurant itself is very nice, and the food was great. Everything came out quickly, and we were very happy with our meals. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our server was inattentive and repeatedly walked by without making eye contact or checking on us, making it difficult to get her attention. After we had finished eating, our empty plates sat in front of us for more than 15 minutes. Eventually, I had to call out to our server just to get the check. There was a gentleman who appeared to be a manager who was very friendly and did check in on us, which we appreciated. At the same time, there appeared to be a few other manager-type employees, including the hostess, walking around while the actual service staff seemed stretched thin. It felt like the restaurant could have benefited from additional servers or bussers rather than having so many people overseeing the floor. Overall, the food was great and the restaurant itself is beautiful, but the service and atmosphere made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. For a restaurant that seems to be aiming for a more upscale experience, I would expect the hospitality and service to match. Unfortunately, based on both of our experiences here, I don't think we'll be back.

It was our first time at the restaurant so we ordered a few dishes to share. The sauce on the enchiladas made me literally gag. There was a weird bitter taste like it had turned and then someone added a hand full of pumpkin seeds to it. I scraped it all off and ended up eating the chicken filling. The birria plate was bland and tough. The fajitas had such small pieces of meat sprinkled within the vegetables you could barely find it. The fact that these dishes are almost $30 each average made it that much worse. The value was not there. Unfortunately, not winning a return visit.
