The food is truly amazing. It's nice to find a restaurant that understands seasoning their food so that you can just enjoy it as is. I think my favorite is there a shrimp Po boy. We stopped in on the way back to Oregon from a visit to California. My husband ordered the The Ranch Bird, I got the pimento cheeseburger and the kids got the kids cheeseburgers. All were amazing. So delicious! My burger was messy and I scooped up every dropped bite. My husband's chicken was moist and flavorful. The kids gobbled theirs down too and asked for our fries, which were delicious. Definitely recommend to anybody traveling through or living close by. We will be adding it to our route for all our visits in the future. read more

I really love this place! The Cuban sandwich was bomb and so was the pimento sauce on the fries. Seems like everything is house made, which makes their sides healthier. Service was good too. They adapted well to COVID with a legit outdoor seating area. I gave them fours stars because someone was heavy handed with the salt on the fries which made the dish a little too salty. Also too much plastic! I understand outdoor venues need plastic cups but not necessary for plastic forks and small bowls for the sides. That being said, we'll be back! read more

How do you make lunch outside during summer heat worth it? Cold beer, great food and amazing staff. Can't say enough about the hot fried chicken from these guys and an awesome beer selection. Walked in to order to go and was told it would be a few minutes before they could help me. No worries, it was 12:30 and the middle of lunch rush. About 10 minutes later same person started to take my order, then looked at the cook and asked "Are we doing to go"? (Cook had seen me standing there, made eye contact more than once and never said a word to me.) cook said "No to go orders". So basically sent me on my way. We frequented Fusion the previous restaurant at this location and loved it... so decided to try Bantam to see if they kept the excellent food and beer tradition going! Our food was pretty good... the Catfish Po Boy was EXCELLENT!!! I LOVED it and will be getting it again...soon! My hubby had the Jambalaya with shrimp added... it was 90% ok, slightly on the brothy-wet side but great flavor. Im sad to say I didn't take a picture of our food... He will try something different next time! THE BEER... the Beer... my porter was excellent in taste BUT way to warm for a beer. Watching the foamy pour of my husband's beer ... I knew it wasn't going to go over well... 50% of the beer was ALL foam and very warm as well. The owner took it well when we said the beer was warm and she stated she was working on the CO2 all day ... ??? Their glasses are room temp and didn't make it any better. It was unfortunate since we both love really cold beer with our dinner... or at all times actually. If the beer was super cold we would give Bantam a 5 star rating. Just found this little jewel today! Kind of out of the way but worth the drive. Tacos are the special on Tuesdays and they did not disappoint. We also ordered hush puppies and fried okra, both delicious. Customer service was awesome and our waitress had only been there two days but didn't seem like it. Ranch Bird Sandwich! This is a nice southern style restaurant and boy do they nail fried chicken. Brunch is great here too, but it can get a little crowded. It is a little pricey, but definitely worth it when compared to some other places in town where the food is just ok most of the time. I don't mind spending the extra money because I know I am going to go home happy. My wife loves the blackened shrimp salad. I haven't tried it but it is pretty much all she ever orders. read more
