I went there without an appointment. I only had to wait about 5 minutes for my pedicure and was told my nails would be done right after. I had to wait almost 30 minutes sitting in the pedicure chair after I was done with my pedicure. I was told by the owner I had to wait that there were people with appointments that came in after me. The place is dirty and seedy! The pedicure was the worse, maybe a 2 minute massage at best. NEVER going back there! read more

I love this place! Ryan does my nails every time, I get a full set and gel paint and they always come out perfect. I have a problem with biting my cuticles and he cut them for me, suggested I buy a cuticle cutter and gave me FREE lotion to help heal them! I found this place through a friend who treated me to a mani/pedi a couple of years ago...I haven't gone anywhere else since. The whole staff is wonderful at Bamboo. I go every two weeks for a pedicure and manicure and always book my appt with Reah, she is fantastic. You don't need an appt here but it helps during the busy times (early evenings during the week and afternoons on the weekends). I've never had to wait more than 10 mins in the 2+ years I've been going to Bamboo when I make an appt. They have a really wide selection of gel polish for gel manis, a bunch of different brands so you can find all the popular colors. I've had some waxing done here, but no other spa services yet. I heard a woman talking about the facials, she gets one every two months and likes it so I may try a facial sometime soon. read more

With so many nail salons, our options are endless. Stopped in here for my first time on my way back from the mall and only had to wait 5 minutes. They were busy, but I always think that busy is good;people obviously like them. I asked for a spa pedicure and regular manicure. They did not harass me on up-sells and I did not feel rushed. The rapport between the owner, employees, and customers was upbeat and positive. Everyone seemed happy and glad to be there. My pedi and mani turned out great and I really liked the hot towels they placed on my legs-nice touch! I definitely recommend this salon and I will be back next time I am in the area! The only downfall was I had no cash to tip the lady so I had to use the ATM to get cash. Bring cash if you want to tip! read more

Love love that they speak English and are not talking a different language and you sit there thinking they are talking about you. they don't really massage your legs for long even if you pay for a spa pedicure. the dry skin at the bottom of feet/heels is still there after the pedicure, and they say that they only scrub a little bit, and use the buzzing machine on calluses. Well, i can scrub the heels at home myself after a good hot water soak, and remove all the dead skin quickly with just a scrubber. Other spas have done better with dry skin removal from the heels, especially for people who walk around barefoot in the summers! read more

I went for a gel nail application and the price was exorbitant maybe because it was applied by the owner? I thought the surroundings was shabby and not clean. The windows are covered with plywood. I did returnfor a fill about a month later which was done by Mike (not his real name, I surmise, since his English was barely discernable) He kept shaking my fingers and in a raised voice saying "relax, relax fingers". I explained that I have arthritis and my fingers are deformed in a fixed position for that reason but he did not seem to understand and caused me quite a bit of discomfort. I am a nurse and object to a non professional clipping the flesh around my nails, which in my view was not necessary. This resulted 2 sore fingers for several days following my visit. I believe had I not applied antibiotic ointment, I would have become infected. The environment is very noisy with the techs having personal conversations with loud laughter and TV blasting. Needless to say, I will not schedule another appointment. read more

The employees always seem to be in a good mood--I never leave there without laughing at least once. PLUS--they're always offering packages that are a great value. Okay, so before I say my issue I wanna say that the girl that did my eyelashes was amazing and Bamboo spa in itself was awesome! So nice, personable, helped me so much, and seemed very knowledgeable on eyelash extensions. The technician talked to me throughout the whole application process, which I loved because it made it go by quicker. So when I went to Bamboo, I had a Groupon for a full set of classic lashes. I really only planned to use the Groupon then had 20% tip money on me. So it was a shock to me when the eyelash technician told me that when they say "Classic Full Set" on Groupon, they actually mean half set?? That just seemed odd to me but going along with it since it was my first time getting eyelashes, I really just wasn't sure on the whole process. My eyelashes were a little sparce at the end of it and just not really to my liking. They ended up falling out like a week later. I still have some eyelashes on but I've tried to removed some with oil since I only have a few eyelashes left. I would definitely try getting eyelashes again, I just think that if a half set of lashes is what Bamboo provides in their Groupon service, then it should say "Half Set". read more

I purchased a Living Social deal for this establishment for a massage. There was a $5.00 difference between a regular massage and a Hot Stone massage, both an hour long. I purchased the more expensive Hot Stone option as it was something I had never experienced before. I made sure to relay that to the receptionist when I made my appointment. I also booked a half hour facial for my BF. The location is easy to miss if you're not from the area, and I would definitely categorize it as a Nail salon which also provides some spa services-the atmosphere, although clean and relatively nice, wasn't as "spa-like" and serene as I was hoping. The waiting area was small and quickly filled up when three more people arrived after us. The outside of the shop could also use a little work. Anyway, I was taken to another area into the massage room which was quite small but clean and functional. My masseuse gave me some instructions on undressing and what to expect, but never mentioned the stones. When I asked her, she informed me that I was not scheduled for a hot stone massage and that it would take an upwards of 20 minutes to prep them. After explaining to her that I paid extra for the stones, she spoke to management and came back to say that they would comp me $5.00 on my next visit. I then requested that they just apply the money to my BF's facial, she let them know and then came back and said it would be fine. She was very nice about the whole thing and very apologetic...although the stones could've been warming up during the whole back and forth, lol but whatever. The massage was very nice, her hands were soft, the music was lovely, and she took her time. The bed could stand to be a little softer but it was alright. At the end she put this thing called Bio Freeze on my back (she recommended it for sore muscles) and rubbed it in. I would liken it to Icy/Hot...I didn't like it and it burned for some time after I left. When I went out to settle my bill, the receptionist charged me the full amount of my BF's facial...I explained the situation again and she informed me that since I didn't specify the type of massage I wanted when I booked (I did) that there was nothing she could do about it. The manager then came up and instructed her to give me a $5.00 off coupon for my next visit. That's not what I wanted, but I wasn't going to fuss over five bucks. Anyway, my BF LOVED, LOVED, LOVED his facial! It was his first one ever and he's wary of people touching him but he said it was super relaxing and his skin looked really good! She also gave him some sponges to take home. Overall, since this place is a little out of my way I probably won't be going back for a another massage. I need the whole spa like experience, robes, dim lighting, the aromatherapy, the whole shebang to really get into the mood. The reviews for their nail services are awesome however, so maybe I'll use my $5 certificate for a pedicure in the spring. read more

I hadn't had a manicure in over 9 months and was going to a day spa. I had a gel manicure at Bamboo on August 16th for an out-of-town wedding on August 20th. It is now August 31st and my polish is still perfect. I was concerned that the gel would peel off after a few days, as it has in the past, but Simone, the technician, assured me that it wouldn't. The manicure was lovely and the service excellent. I also had a pedicure which was wonderful. I will be going back and definitely recommend it. I didn't give 5 stars because the owner at the front desk didn't make eye contact, acknowledge me or say thank you when I was paying. I thought it was a strange way to treat a first-time customer but maybe she thought I would be a one and done. Nope, I'm going back, perhaps this weekend. Highly recommend Bamboo Spa. read more

I'm not sure if I just came in at a bad time to this Spa but my experience was not that good. I went in with my grandmother she got a manicure and I got an SNS FULL SET . I ended up sitting in the salon chair with plastic nail tips on my fingers not cut yet for about an hour before somebody sat in front of me and started doing my nails, within that hour that I was sitting, my grandmother's manicure was done in 15 minutes , way too rushed. The woman who did my grandmother's manicure didn't even push her cuticles back and when they couldn't get them back by cutting them they wanted to send them down and my grandmother didn't want that. The person who was doing my nails got up to do other things with no telling me at least 5 times in the two hours that I was there. There are very nice people that work here from what I saw but I was very dissatisfied with my service and the nail technicians attitude. read more

The Bamboo Spa is a fantastic experience. I haven't gotten my nails done since i retired and my granddaughter and neighbor both recommended this place so i thought that id give it a try. This place is really AMAZING unlike any other nail salon that is rough with your hands and sometimes cut you by accident all the employees here are gentle and very careful about any issues that you have. The environment is very calm and relaxing. You can talk to your nail tech and they honestly do care about you. The shop is very clean!! And everyone talks in English so you never have that feeling of are they talking about me. Every time i walk in they all know my name and greet me. It's the most pleasant experience I've had at a nail salon ever ! I would recommend this place to everyone and not only do they do nails they also have massages and facials that are out of this world. read more

I took my daughters & two friends to get their nails done for my oldest's 13th birthday. Everything was going really well until one of my daughter's friends passed out and we didn't know why. The staff responded well, calling 911 and catching her so she didn't hit the floor. Once the ambulance arrived, I was very busy trying to get in touch with her grandparents and it took quite some time but I finally did. In all the commotion, I was in and out of the salon trying to manage not only the emergency at hand but also the three other girls I had with me. My younger daughter grabbed my bag for me as I had left it in the salon. Once my daughter's friend was safely in the ambulance and on her way to get checked out to make sure she was OK, the police officer that was there informed me that the salon thought I was trying to skip out on paying my bill!!! I have never been more insulted in all my life and upon confronting them about it, they tried to back track and say they thought I forgot! If this is what they were most concerned about in the face of an emergency, this is a place I will never return to. Thanks for making a tough situation even worse!! read more

i never write reviews because i always seem to find something negative about a place that i would rather keep to myself so as not to disuade others who may have a better experience, but i had to write a review for this salon. it was the best salon experience i've ever had in my life! and my best friend 's(since high school) mother owned and operated a full service salon so i have alot of exposure to salons. i was the most relaxed i had been in 10 years after my cut and color which included a full head and neck massage that was awesome to say the least. Irene's hands are magic! I was having multiple services performed and everything went like clockwork. i had my hair colored and cut (by James who is fabulous) and my nails done (full acrylics) in a matter of 2 hours. amazing! i had a function that evening and everyone raved about my hair and nails. of course i had to say where i had them where and by whom. Seona did such a great job on my nails....... i can not recommend them more glowingly. can't wait to go back for a full body massage and mani/pedicure! read more

Went to Bamboo today for the first time and I loved it. From the moment I walked in the door, they were accommodating, friendly, and attentive (even asked me if I wanted something to drink while I waited). Now I am EXTREMELY picky about my nails and feet. I have traveled 20 miles on the weekend very 2 weeks and paid up to $25 for parking just to get the service I like. So for me this was a HUGE deal and they met the challenge. Their products are good, the place was clean, convenient location, reasonable price (gel mani + pedi = $50), ALL staff was friendly, and they have a nice selection of colors with gel and regular polish that match. They have multiple rooms so if you want to watch TV or just relax to soothing music, the choice is yours. LOVED IT!!!! So after 13 years at one salon, I am officially a Bamboo client. The ONLY very SMALL thing that was a little inconvenient was they charge 1.49 to use your credit/debit card. They do have an ATM but if you're anything like me and don't like to pay the surcharge, bring cash. Otherwise, you should be pleased. read more
