Jennifer Nguyen truly is a gem! I have been coming to her for a few years, and every appointment is great. Jennifer is up-to-date on all of the nail trends happening, and executed the designs beautifully. She is creative, and I appreciate that she adds her own flair to every nail set that she does. Jennifer keeps up with your life, and makes you feel like she has known you for years. Bamboo Spa is extremely clean, and everyone that works there is very nice. They were also tremendous during the height of Covid. Everyone was separated accordingly, and masks were required. The pedicure was great and I left refreshed This salon is large and they cater to parties. I went in a little over a week ago as I have not been to there in a while figured let's try it out again. I got basic fill and pedicure regular polish. The polish chipped in 2 days didn't care much whatever it's regular 11 days later as more polish is chipping and I'm preparing to go back to my regular spot I noticed on both of my big toes fungus I have never had that before. Called on a Saturday and they squeezed me in :) Got a very needed pedi and mani by Pat. She was the best and super duper friendly, kind, gentle and gives the best massages. The salon itself is a little on the small side and could be a little strong smelling (if your sensitive, wearing a mask would be best.) Her pedicure is her 2nd to none, she gives an incredible foot massage and she does your nails perfectly and make sure that each one is clean and neat. also if you're not sure what color to get, she always gives you a good suggestion. for a special occasion, she does fancy nails which is an hombre type of pink and white nail with a little bit of glitter in it. I have been a customer of Bamboo Spa for 15 years now since the Bamboo Spa has open . And I would rate this nail salon a perfect 10. And I am very happy with my Nail tech person Mike. He is very punctual with taking his client on time and does a great job on both my manicure and pedicures.. I have one suggestion for the salon and that is that they should offer gift certificates that the customers relatives can buy by coming into the salon or purchase them thru their website, or by calling the salon. Nirvana Hair Salon in Springfield Pa offers the buying of gift certificates for the relatives to buy Relative one by buying thru their website, or going in person to the salon or by calling them and the salon will mail it out to their home address. The person that used to do my eyelash extensions ( at a different salon) moved far away (Pittsburgh) so it took me a while to get extensions again because I just didn't feel comfortable or trust that anyone would do them as good. I got so lucky! I recently moved to the area and had to find a new nail place. Thanks to Yelp reviews I found The Bamboo Spa. It's a very inconspicuous little place but oh is it great! I've gotten powder SNS nails and regular pedicures here so far and I have no complaints. Yee is now my go to girl. She can duplicate any design challenge you bring her. They do take walk ins but scheduling an appointment is quick and easy online. Not only can you say what service you need but you can request which technician you would like as well. As far as nail salons go, it's a crap shoot. Bamboo is the opposite. The place is bustling with business and the girls know their stuff. Besides having a hard time getting an appointment (yes, they are THAT busy!) I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Where do i start? First and foremost we were seen as soon as we got in and there was no wait time. I was recommended to go to Kelly and she did such an amazing job and made my first time in the shop such an amazing and comfortable experience. I'm usually picky with my color and shaping but she did such an incredible job! My regular polish looks like a gel polish was done on me. Definitely will be going back! Shout out to Lana too for taking care of my boyfriend. He's also a picky person with his massages but she also did an awesome job. Everything was done in a timely manner. I love coming here. Everyone is friendly, the place is clean and they have some really talented staff. It's my go to place. I do think they could improve on their nail shaping. I love the coffin nail but it's never quite right when I get it done here. I've been sticking to my regular square nails so it's not been an issue. After moving here from the Lehigh Valley a few months ago I've been trying to find a nail salon that fit my needs... cleanliness, technique, shaping and especially a place that's punctual. Walking in they took my temperature A+... it is by appointment only which I like because you won't feel rushed or have to wait long periods of time. I'm not rich so every once in a while I like to treat myself- seeing as how I haven't had a proper pedicure in almost a year, I thought heck- why not? Found this place through yelp. Saw the mostly positive reviews and I thought I'd try it out. Lady at the front desk was nice and showed me where to sign in and to pick my colors. Wait didn't take very long and it didn't look too busy when I went in. I got a mani/pedi and waxing done for my lips and eyebrows. The person I got was a guy named Jin (spelling?). He was very courteous and seemed to know what he was doing. We talked for a bit and he made sure I was comfortable. He started my pedicure and the foot massage was fine it was the painting afterwards that I had a problem with. It didn't look professional in fact I think he might have been in training which made me question why these people decided to give me someone who was not qualified to paint nails. (which is really f'd up in my opinion. ) I hate being one of those people who like to nit-pick at every little thing- and I was trying so hard not to- but honestly- my nails looked atrocious. First we started with a pedicure. I asked him to trim my toe-nails because they were a little longer than I liked and he didn't. I don't know if it was the language barrier or what- but he did cut the nails on my big toe- so that was something. There were still callouses on my feet because he didn't scrub it all or file it After he did my feet we went to my fingernails which is where the real carnage began. The nails weren't cleaned properly, there were still bits and pieces of cuticles on them. I didn't want to cut my nails... it took a while for me to grow them out- but the picture I showed him had square nails (I had round nails) and I asked him if we could paint the nails pink and have black tips. He nodded his head yes. He proceeded to cut my nails and filed them down. At first I thought- ok fine whatever one nail was shorter than the rest at least they'll be even then- but after he painted my nails he went on to paint the black tips- except it looked horrible. Paint on my cuticles, nails were not smooth, nails weren't filed down properly and the edges look jagged. Had to keep stopping him for minor noobie mistakes he was making such as bubbling in the nail polish, hair or fuzzies from cotton balls being stuck on my nails and him painting over them. There was a glob of black paint at the end of my nail, I tried to tell him about it, he thought it was fine so I wiped it off myself. That kinda stuff- I was not happy. I told him that I needed to leave and to just paint my nails all one color since they couldn't do the black tips to make it easy for him. That's when one of the other nail-tech stepped in. She painted my nails for me, which turned out a little better than before but not much. (though it's not entirely her fault, because he didn't clean my nails properly, filing, buffing, cutting cuticles) Things started to turn around for me a little then. I got waxed and that went fine. I ended up paying 54 dollars for the whole experience which was definitely not worth it. Now the people themselves were very nice and accommodating, but their skills were not that great. Again- when I go out to get my nails done, I'm expecting quality work, not work that's done by a trainee, which is what I got. I was pissed, but you know what? Kindness can get you very far. The people were nice and accommodating which is why I tipped both of the nail techs- even the trainee, 7 dollars each. (even with shitty nail service) The whole thing took about 3 hours (which should not have been the case because he took me right away.) All in all, I would not recommend this place. read more

If I could give this salon 100 stars I would, I was a customer here for years and recently over the past 6 months I moved to delaware & wasn't getting my nails done... until I came across a different salon tried it out and the entire time I was missing Bamboo & my regular nail tech ( Jennifer) but I can say every single person who works here is wonderful, pleasing, extremely nice, accommodating and you 10000% get what you pay for. I will make the 45 minute drive back here now just for the amazing customer service as well as service they provide. I miss all of you so much and cannot wait to come back! This place is a hidden gem! I've been coming here for a few months now. I've had the acrylics done by Ryan (which lasted me almost a month), I've had my lashes done by Kelli multiple times, and I've had the dip powder nails done by Yee as well as my eyebrows waxed by Kelli. Let me start off by saying they have the most reasonable prices of any salon around, and their work is top notch. I never feel rushed, I always leave feeling happy, and the people there are the absolute nicest I've witnessed in a salon. They have everything there so you don't have to bounce around. They have massages, facials, lash extensions, every type of manicure and pedicure and wax service. I travel 25 minutes just to go to them because they are worth it! Hit or miss for me. The first two times I visited my nail tech Jenn N. Did a decent job. The salon was clean, and the wait time was reasonable. My nails lasted a while and were complimented often. The last time I went (also seeing Jenn N.), I was really disappointed. The price had gone up and I do not feel the services matched what I paid. The wait was about 20 mins even though I had an appointment and arrived early. I expressed what I wanted (a design she had done at least 2x in the past) and she repeatedly asked me about doing another style. It was clear she did not feel like going through the effort at the end of a shift to do the style I requested. I agreed to another design she has done recently and she did one coat of polish in half of the sections which at first appeared sufficient but when I got home and inspected my nails, there were large spots on my nails that was missing polish. The lines on the design were crooked also and went in different directions, which is not how the design she did was. I've seen her other work and it was good, so maybe this was an off day but it was disappointing (particularly given my nails were for a special occasion). Some of the steps done at my prior manicures (massage, cleaning hands halfway through) were also not done. I removed the nails as soon as i could. I would probably give the place another try and go to a different nail tech. read more
