Sweet mother of all things holy. Places like these are why America is fat but I am so ok with it. We went this past Tuesday following the opening. Like 11ish there was no line, but when we went around 1, there was a line out the door. I'm guessing because it was in between classes. The line moves ehhhh... normal. Not fast not slow. The food: Super simple but so many options. Pick a cookie for your sandwich (can be different top and bottom) or get a combo with a cookie + brownie sandwich. Pick your flavor of ice cream. Pick any toppings. Decide if you want it hot pressed. You do want it hot pressed, so that isn't much of a decision. They have these custom presses that fit the cookie sandwich and get it toasty without melting the ice cream! It's actually magic I think. It's DELICIOUS. Some people say it can be shared. It could buttttt I ate all mine? #superfattystatus. I got the combo, pb cookie on top + chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream + brownie on bottom + hot pressed. God bless America y'all. Ooey gooey fudgey and yum. The cookies aren't so sweet that you feel like you just ate pure sugar, which I appreciated. The space: A nightmare. I'd have to agree, this set up is not efficient. It's a long alley and a single door. So people have to leave out the same single space door the line is in. Frankly, there's not room for a long to wrap inside. An employee makes your sandwich from start to finish, and I agree that it would go much quicker with an assembly line. There's no tables, well one small two seater and one bench outside. I guess you're supposed to walk and eat your sandwich but how do you do that before true ice cream starts melting all over you?! Also, they are huge and have to be held with both hands. I'm not that cool, I cannot walk and eat something with both my hands lol. Worth the wait if the line isn't insane. Worth the caloric splurge. Attended the grand opening of this delish place and I was excited to see they had several different ice cream and cookie flavors. They also have donuts and brownies you can use to create your favorite kind of ice cream sandwich. But those were not available for the free grand opening treat. They also have a few different topping like fruity pebbles, sprinkle, carmel drizzle and such to add amazingness to your already incredible sandwich. The only thing I did not like is that the inside is so small. So if you wanted to enjoy a cold treat on a not so warm day, you might be out of luck for seating. read more

We walked into this tiny shop to not the best customer service. There is a lot on the menu to take in and I don't love having to strain my neck to look up while I'm deciding. However, I love that you get to choose different brownies/cookies for the top and bottom of the sandwich. I chose an m&m too and funfetti bottom with dark chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was divine. I could buy a gallon of it and eat it immediately. The cookies were not the greatest. Also, it should have been much cheaper for the product. I think that $4 for two cookies and a scoop of ice cream is worth like $3. Then they knock it over with aground and toppings. By the time you are done, it's around $5 and that is the price of a cheap meal. When we got to the register, the girl had an attitude and I will give her the benefit of the doubt because she looked young, but they should have better customer service. The last part that wasn't great was the seating. Three tiny tables extremely close together with two chairs each. There was a large crowd that came in after us and nobody had anywhere to sit so they just awkwardly stood in the corner and outside to eat. Cookies + ice cream is a great combo. Warm cookies sandwiching ice cream is even better. I had a cookie sandwich with chocolate chip cookie on top and pumpkin spice cookie on the bottom with mint ice cream. The cookies were delicious, particularly the pumpkin spice. Ice cream was good also, though I've had better mint ice cream elsewhere. Place itself is on the smaller side with a couple tables on the inside, and a couple on the sidewalk. Staff is friendly. Parking can also be a challenge, but if you circle the lot enough across the street in front of Hurt's Donut you can usually get a spot and pick your poison. GOOD GOD. If I could, I would go back to Oklahoma JUST to get this diabetes-inducing treat again. This place serves three of my favorite things: brownies, ice cream, and cookies. The Baked Bear found a way to mash all three things together and it blew my mind. I ordered the combo sandwich which is ice cream smushed between a brownie and a cookie. You can mix and match different flavors and once they assemble your cookie, they put the sandwich in a hot press to make the outside all warm and gooey. The ice cream on the inside still stays cold and provides a wonderful contrast to the richness of the baked goods of your choosing. If you don't have that big of a sweet tooth they offer desserts individually. However I HIGHLY recommend the sugary monstrosity that The Baked Bear is famous for. You will not regret it. The place was cute, but very very small. The line was long so I'm guessing people like the place. They had a good selection of unique cookies and I liked all the ones I tried. There are many options like ice cream, a cookie bowl (pizookie like), a brownie bowl, or cookie sandwiches, etc. I had the cookie sandwich and it was good! I couldn't finish all of it because it was a large amount for the money. The prices were great, worth it's money. The cookies became kind of hard after awhile because the ice cream was making the cold. The flavors were still good though. The service was quick and efficient. The thing I didn't like was that there wasn't any seating area. There were seats outside but flies would constantly come at me. The Norman location of the Baked Bear is perfect for Campus Corner. I asked some OU graduates what's the #1 thing I had to check out while I was there and was told the Baked Bear was amazing. Naturally, I took them up on their suggestion and took my parents along. The store was just opening when we arrived and the smelled of freshly baked cookies. I got the bear batter (looking like a version of Cookie Monster) sandwiched between a chocolate chip cookie and a red velvet. The young man behind the counter recommended getting it hot pressed, which would melt the cookies and not the ice cream. I'd say it was a messy choice, but a good choice at that. My dad wasn't as impressed with just his oatmeal cinnamon cookie, and my mom (not a big sweets eater) said her red velvet was really good and not too sweet. At $5 the sandwich was a little pricey, but worth it and this was reflected in the constant stream of families and college students that filtered in and out of the shop. Great dessert spot on campus corner! The places is quite small and had seating for about only six people. My grandsons who live in Norman have been saying I have to go there with them next time I visited. So here we were at my son's family's house watching the OU vs OSU game and they reminded me of my promise to go to The Baked Bear. I convinced them to wait until half time. I figured a short drive, quick in and out and back in time for the start of the third quarter. So with the score tied 3 3, off we went... There was a line out the door.
