I was skeptical because I was wondering if this place would live up to the hype..... heck yea it does! I tried a Simply Smashed donut which has the ice cream inside but doesn't have toppings added on top like the regular Smashed Donuts because I wasn't feeling up to having all the sugar at that moment. If you're not used to a lot of sugar or aren't a big dessert person then the Simply Smashed would probably be the better way to go for you. Nonetheless, it still delivered and I devoured it!!!!! Monday. Came after a sushi dinner next door for a sweet treat. I had never been before but had seen ads on Instagram. We were greeted by two young girls who were very "high school" and friendly. I told them I had never been, and asked them what the deal was. Their explanation was very clear and helpful. Cartoons of their choice play in the back. I believe it was The Secret Life of Pets. A group of young kids and their parents were there enjoying their food. There are games on the table, like giant playing cards and checkers. Some low seating, and tall seats and tables as well. However. The sweet treats were just OK. Nothing blew us out of the water. We got one of the pressed donuts. I was under the impression it would be hot, but it was not. It was a donut filled with ice cream. It wasn't bad, but again, nothing amazing. Something I could make at home. The donuts are said to have cinnamon sugar dusting but it wasn't quite that way. My girlfriend got a Oreo shake of sorts. It was also just OK. I can't quite describe the flavor but almost like a sugar free Oreo. Texture was fine. The owner of this store is so sweet. It was my birthday yesterday and DoorDash REALLY did my sister dirty. She lives out of state and got me Yonutz as a gift. They left my Yonutz order (including a milkshake that they ripped the bag open to do Lord know what to my milkshake) outside my door and did not knock or ring the doorbell. It sat outside for 4 hours (12-4pm) and attracted ants. He was so sweet and even though it wasn't his problem, he was nice enough to remake the order for me. I do feel obligated to let people know, that if I want good donuts, this place is NEVER on my list. Yonutz is where you take your kids or teens for a rare treat to engorge themselves on sugar. First time visiting Yonutz! Happened upon this randomly and I love a good donut so I was excited to give these a try! The presentation of the donuts is fantastic and the store has a decent amount of seating. Viewing the menu right off the bat I thought the place was a bit pricey for donuts. I went for the cheaper option which was four minis for $6. The minis were all cake donuts and the base of the donut just wasn't good at all in my opinion. The texture was gummy and there wasn't really any flavor to the cake. The toppings were cute and well decorated but they definitely dropped the ball on taste. read more

I've anticipated my visit to yonutz for quite some time. Time has been the issue due to my busy schedule; I am 2 cities away. Finally I had an errand to run in the area and made it a priority to stop by with my family for a Sunday afternoon sweet treat. I ordered the Kinder Bueno that comes with a donut, vanilla ice cream a kinder bar and crumbs of Oreos on top. I opted out of the Oreos however, upon receiving my order I only got the donut with vanilla ice cream and drizzled Nutella (no kinder bar) I asked the young lady that took my order prepared it if I my order comes with a kinder bar? she expresses a confused look her face therefore I reiterated that Oreos were the only thing I asked not to include and her response was "oh we are out " and walked away literally scurried off to join the other 2 young ladies / staff members in the establishment to continuing their moment prior to my family and I entering / interrupting; Not one staff member asked if there was anything else I would like to add as as substitute or better yet say something like "Hey by the way, we are out of kinder would you still like to order this or would you like try something else?" My personal take way is that I experienced a Complete lack of empathy, no customer service from any of the 3 staff members that witnessed my order and interaction. Needless to say that my vanilla ice cream in my doughnut with drizzled Nutella was very underwhelming. I Can't say it was worth the $9 and the anticipation to come and try this place is disappointing. I couldn't wait to try this place out. Luckily, I was the only customer in the store, and I had a few questions for Italy. I ordered 4 mini donuts and an exclusive one. The four mini were glazed which was sweeter than I thought it was going to be, a double chocolate which was just fine, a maple one which is usually my favorite donuts not so much today , and a biscoff now this was the best donut of all of them. When I go back, I am going to get a big biscoff and make an ice cream sandwich rolled in cinnamon. The caramel pecan donut was okay. it's a lot prettier than it tasted, and I tasted some cream cheese on it, which I do not like. For this to be a place with a lot of sweets, it did not smell like it. I was expecting a sweet or sugary smell it didn't even smell like donuts to me. Next time I go I am taking my daughter so that she can try them for herself. Stopped in to because I never heard of this place... omg, was the best! They have mini cake donuts and all sorts of regular donuts. Then they have all these delicious flavors of Hershey ice cream! I was really looking forward to my visit, but I have to say I was quite disappointed. The smashed donut I received felt like it was just slapped together rather than properly cooked. The milkshake I brought a friend in to enjoy wasn't even blended properly. To make matters worse, the employee assisting us didn't seem to care much about the service. I understand it might be an after-school job, but a smile and some effort would go a long way. The employee had dirty blonde hair, was wearing a Yonutz hat, and a long-sleeve Yonutz shirt that looked quite dirty. I came in on April 19th, a Monday at 8:30 PM. My new favorite treat stop! They have the most adorable donuts... not to mention a huge selection! My husband and I took our daughter there this morning and ended up buying way more donuts than we needed, it was just too hard to decide which ones to get. We decided on some of the minis and a couple of the over the top stuffed donuts. They all were amazing!!! The toppings are abundant, be prepared for a sugar rush lol. I preferred the minis just because they were a much smaller dose of sugar but the donut portion also was just perfect on the minis! They have ice cream too but we couldn't manage to get that much sugar . We will most definitely be back for the ice cream. They even make donut/ice cream shakes While all the treats were amazing, the girl that worked there was just beyond amazing! She was so helpful and sweet. She introduced to all of the sweet goodness they have to offer and made it that much harder to make our selections (in a good way!). I believe the people that work at establishments are what make the experience, and she made it so much more fun than just your typical donut shop. So because of her... and the amazing donuts... we will be coming back!! And the shop was super cute too! read more

Donuts on a Saturday morning are a religion to me, so it goes without being said that I've been wanting to try Yonutz for a LONG time. It exceeded every expectation I could've had, and for several reasons. Not only is the location cute, quaint, and gives off the 'hometown bakery' vibe that you'd see in a Hallmark movie, but the donuts definitely live up to the hype. We were eating for two so easily could've gotten half a dozen with how filling they are, but there were so many flavor options, we couldn't make up our mind and had to go with a dozen. Just for reference, we opted into two cereal donuts (Captain Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch), biscoff cookie, smores, nutella, Oreo cheesecake, and more. We'll definitely be back to try their famous milkshakes and the smashed ice cream sandwiches - I mean, are you kidding me? Most importantly though, the staff here was what really sold the place. I wish I would've grabbed her name to specifically mention her, but the sweet woman who was baking along with taking our order was truly one of the kindest interactions I've ever had. After getting a coffee, I proceeded to spill the entire thing over the counter, floor, and myself, in typical fashion. She cleaned up the entire mess, helped me clean myself, and (as embarrassed as I was), handled the situation with so much grace and compassion, and made me feel not as bad. I went on a recommendation of a coworker on a Friday evening about 6:00. There were no other customers and 2 young girls working behind the counter. I told them this was my first experience at Yonutz and had no clue what to order. They offered very little help. I asked if I could get a mini donut smashed but was told they were only for the shakes or sold individually. I then decided on a mini donut I wanted but told I couldn't have that one on a shake and that I could only choose from the shakes that were shown on the menu. I asked what was the girl's favorite and which one she suggested but she couldn't even answer me. She turned to her coworker to ask which one she liked best. For such a fun establishment I expected happier, more energetic workers than these two girls. They seemed put out that I even walked in much less asked several questions. I ended up ordering the Biscoff Cookie Butter Smashed donut. While it was complete sugar overload it was very tasty!!! However, I won't be a return customer. read more
