I haven't been here in years, & stopped in for dinner last night…read more Did not know they added a "bowls," selection to their menu, & it definitely adds more to their main theme of sandwiches with meat haha I had their garlic jalopeno burger. Meat had a lot of flavor, & the peppers were pretty spicy. The fries were good as well My friend had the chicken bowl, & it was deliciousssss. Next time that's what I'll be getting. So much flavor, & a good option if you're trying be healthy. So props to them for adding that to the menu. The service was good, our waitress was nice. Ambiance is that of a sports bar. TV's with games on, & can get loud haha

Rooster's is downtown on the Main Street; easy to find right across from the county courthouse. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon and it was a bit busy but was instantly greeted, seated myself at the bar, and served a (very) cold drink immediately. I had the 2-meat plate with fries. Hot fresh fries; good smoked sausage and sliced brisket. I did as I like to do: took my time eating, visiting with the staff and local folks. I enjoyed every minute and every bite. I parked my 18-wheeler a mile away and walked into town; hadn't walked three blocks back and a local fellow stopped and says, "Can I give you a ride? It's awful hot." My kinda place.

This place rocks! We are in town for a graduation. We asked my Niece where do you want to eat after…read moregraduation. She said Babes. We saw the menu and were kind of like ok what kind of a chicken place is this. It was her choice so we went. Our waiter(forgot his name) was cool and was very attentive to us. First sign of a good waiter/server is our cups were never empty. Its been a while that my cup has never been empty. For the food it rocked. Your biscuits are addictive. I dont know what you put in them but we ate alot of them. The dressing on the salad was not over powering. Now for the chicken. We had tenders, fired, smoked and even some chicken fried steak. It was all juicy and tender. What had us surprised was there was no oil on the plate when it was served. The breading on all the chicken stayed crunchy. What ever you do to the chicken keep doing it. The corn, green beans and the mashed potatoes were on point. They are their own food group. Im not a green bean person. I had 2 servings. The gravy just made everything taste better. The deserts tasted like they came from grandmas kitchen. Whats the chances you would open a location in Las Vegas Nevada. Its going to get expensive to drive here every time we what fried chicken. Keep doing what you're doing. It works.

We love these place whenever we're close to one we try to stop and have a great dinner. Some of the…read more fried chicken and veggies around.

Stumbled across this place (it's in a residential neighborhood) and immediately wished I lived in…read morethe neighborhood. Love this for those who do! Pretty spacious place that offers a wide range of food and drink options. Everything we ordered tasted great, came out in a timely manner, and everyone devoured what they had. We ordered a pepperoni flatbread, which was crispy and the perfect portion. The Mac and cheese had far more flavor than I expected and was eaten without a fuss and in its entirety (for a kid, that's a feat). The burger was simple, but great. The wings were extra crispy, and the different drinks were tasty as well. Our server was fantastic and we will certainly be back one evening.

When in TX come to the Nook for that comfort southern food! I was leaving my cousins house and came…read moreacross this restaurant that was near by that to my surprise had a variety of gluten free items to chose from. Its located in the same parking lot as the elementary school and is the only restaurant/bar in the parking lot. Upon walking in you'll see the bar and plenty of seating as well as a patio. Since we came in the middle of the week on a late afternoon we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waitress came over who was really sweet and had that southern Texas charm. I ordered the elote with homemade tortilla chips, gluten free Mac n cheese and my mom got a flatbread. Hands down that mac n cheese was the best I ever had, it was so creamy but not over powering with that bold cheese flavor and it was made with gf penne pasta (I know a little weird.. but it was the only gf noodle choice I had). If you don't have an allergy I'm sure the regular noodles are just as good! So if you want that comfort food that Texas is known for, this is the place to check out if you're in Celina.

My husband and I had never been to a BBQ joint quite like this before. At first, we were looking around like, "Is this a buffet?" Lol The restaurant has a really cool Western BBQ feel, and you can smell the BBQ smoking before you even walk inside. The meat is weighed by the pound, and we ordered brisket, baked potatoes, creamed corn, green beans, and a brisket-stuffed pepper wrapped in bacon. One of the coolest things is that if you eat inside the restaurant, dessert is FREE! They had peach cobbler, banana pudding, and ice cream. The brisket was AMAZING, and so were the creamed corn, green beans, peach cobbler, and those bacon-wrapped stuffed peppers! We really enjoyed everything we tried. This was such a fun experience and some seriously good BBQ. I can't wait to return!

This has been my must go to twice a year when I visit a friend in McKinney for quite sometime now…read more What started out as the most amazing barbecue I've ever had has unfortunately come up short the last two times I've been there. Back in March I excitedly went to enjoy my usual brisket sandwich and green beans to find out they changed those to an entirely different recipe. Greasy and over powered with bacon and sweetness ruined what once was the best side they had there. Upon my most recent visit back two weeks ago I was hoping to find that they maybe realized they had made a mistake and went back to the original green beans but unfortunately that was not the case. Still those nasty greasy green beans. Eww! Also, my brisket sandwich this time was a no go. I asked for the lean cut but had to pick it apart to remove all of the fat in it which then made the bun super soggy. I was so disappointed again :( I'm not really sure what changes are being made and why but some things just need to stay the same. If it's not broke, don't try and fix it...
