Went here for breakfast the other day. The bagels were so bland and the texture was weird. They were dry and almost reminded me of a gluten free bagel. My husband and son both got bagels with cream cheese. I opted for a bacon and egg sandwich on a plain bagel. I was kind of surprised to find out test the breakfast sandwich was made in the microwave. As a result, the bacon was gross and rubbery. We came here because the good reviews and the comparison to NY bagels. We are from NJ (also known for great bagels) and found these to be sooo underwhelming. Also, a bagel place microwaving it's eggs and bacon is insane. read more

Very good, NY style bagels! I had a sesame bagel with lox and cream cheese- it was excellent. Bagel had a nice chewy texture, and there was a generous amount of lox on the bagel. I like mine without the tomato/onions/capers so I asked them to leave these off. I'd definitely return when I'm in the are again! read more

Had an Asiago bagel with egg, sausage and cheese. The bagel was delicious but I didn't care for the microwaved scrambled egg and sausage. No color or flavor in the sausage. Just my opinion. I removed it and just ate the bagel and cheese and enjoyed it very much. However, I didn't like being asked for a tip. Again, just my opinion. After a not so great experience at a similar place yesterday, we were eager to try this place after seeing an ad for it in a local magazine. First, menu was nice and basic so what you walk in looking for is exactly what you'll get. Prices were very reasonable for sandwiches. Everything was reasonably priced and sized. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a bagel with scallion cream cheese. The sandwiches were very good with melted cheese, and the right amount of bacon/sausage to egg. The best thing by far was the scallion cream cheese. There was a generous amount on the bagel. It was fresh and fluffy. The iced coffee was good as well. Staff all seemed to be working hard, and they were very nice. We'd be happy to come back and try out lunch! read more

I went in to buy some cream cheese and a half dozen bagels to go and was asked by the woman working the cash register whether I'd like to tip- she also asked another customer the same thing. These cash registers are the Toast tablets that flip so the customer can select whether and how much to tip and whether you want a receipt etc and many businesses have them. This cashier wasn't flipping it and was instead using this pressure tactic to get customers to tip by putting us on the spot. Even though I'm someone who normally tips in situations like this it was infuriating to have this pressure tactic deployed. There was no indication that the flipping mechanism on the tablet/register was broken and another register sat unused next to it so it seems unlikely that the woman was unable to use the flip. I'll think twice before returning as this left me with a bad customer experience. read more

I hate writing a bad review. I have been going to the bagel since the early 90's, it's always been great and I know what to expect. The past couple of times have not been good. A month ago I got to work and saw that my bagel wasn't toasted, as requested clearly. A couple of days ago I did the same to see that I was served like a tablespoon of cream cheese. Usually the cream cheese is squirting out the sides. On top of that it was definitely at least a day old. Dry hockey puck. 8 bucks for a simple bagel, with tip, seems steep for a breakfast that should be easy. I will be unwrapping and checking my purchase next time. Very nice service though. read more

I've been coming to the bagel off and on since the late 90's, but hadn't been for a while. Went in last weekend just to get some energy bagels but thought the price for the Bakers Dozen was a deal compared to our RI prices. Also got some chive cream cheese. The energy bagels were delicious, fresh, nicely moist and substantial. When I got home I had the Asiago bagel with the chive cream cheese. The cup of cream cheese was packed to the brim and the perfect, thick, smooth consistency and lathered thick and smoothly. The Asiago bagel also had the perfect shell and perfect, moist and dense consistency. Stowe has a top notch bagel bakery! I did call later to talk with the manager to let them know how pleased I was and whether they were under new owners. He did mention he has owned the location for 3 or 4 years, and that they did have a new baker. I will rerun soon. I found the coffee above average but still very good. Prices for the bagels and cheese were good compared to other vacation spots. read more

So, it was our departing morning in Stowe and I popped over for a quick bacon egg and cheese on everything with an orange juice. $11.50!! ELEVEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS! Look, I get it. Inflation is real. But then I proceeded to watch the chefs MICROWAVE the bacon and egg patty! The sandwich itself wasn't horrible, but certainly not worth it.
