Ranch Camp is a cool little restaurant and bicycle repair shop combo -- for real! I just wish the food was as good as the overall vibe and the amazing service we received. Let's start with what we enjoyed during our visit: the drinks were good... the atmosphere was cool (more like a contemporary "cabin" vibe, which was definitely inviting)... and the staff were all stellar!! Where Ranch Camp let us down on this visit was the food. In fact, we desperately wanted to love the experience because everything LOOKED fantastic. However, all the food we ordered was bland. It all started with the pork nachos, which our party of 3 ordered as an appetizer. It was piled high and dripping with ingredients... but the dish completely lacked flavor. The pork was perfectly tender but tasted flavorless (until I added hot sauce and salt). I would also recommend they serve the dish with pico de gallo or salsa to boost the flavor. We had the same feeling with the burrito bowls. Two of us ordered different burritos (opting for bowls instead of tortillas), and we both thought the flavor was just okay. And on top of that, both of our bowls were lukewarm. In fact, the entrées weren't even hot enough to melt the cheese. I wish I would have sent the food back, but we were in a bit of a hurry. Finally, my friend James ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, which he also thought was "just okay." Oh, and we noted that a table near us sent back food... so not sure what was up with that, but we we weren't surprised based on our overall experience. Final Thoughts: Prior to visiting Ranch Camp, I read plenty of reviews praising the restaurant, so I'd like to think that they were just having a bad day. read more

This was a unique dinner experience for sure. It had ample gluten free options which is why we went here. It was pretty slow for a Friday so we were seated almost instantly. The restaurant is inside of a bike shop which is pretty cool in itself. We started off with some nachos and fried chokes. I had artichokes but omg these were so crunchy and delicious. The nachos were stacked and loaded each chip as nachos should be. Although I wish they out the sour cream and guacamole on the side instead of drizzled on top. Their pork belly tacos were delicious just so messy. The corn with each bite literally was all over my lap and the table. Good just not a graceful meal to eat. I ordered their crunch wrap which was good but the portion was huge. Two people could easily split one. We also ordered the adult chicken tenders and fries. Which idk what they do to the fries here but you MUST HAVE THE FRIES! They are super seasoned and crunchy and just mouth watering goodness. The chicken tenders were super crisp and well flavored too. Next time I'm so ordering the chicken tenders and fries. The T-bowl looked great but the guest in our party who ordered it barely ate it for some reason. 10\10 for food. Service is a bit slow here so be patient. The prices are not bad for the food quality either. My only complaint is the parking lot behind the building is a bit tight with a larger vehicle. read more

Split the fries, buffalo cauliflower, tofu crunch wrap and beet salad for two for dinner (plus a beer each) and it was the perfect amount of food for dinner plus leftovers! This spot is great. Many beers on tap, in additional to fun canned drinks like hard kombucha. Many vegan/vegetarian options. Everything was incredibly tasty. Ranch Camp is highly recommended for gluten free, so we stopped in on a Monday morning for lunch. The restaurant is also a bike shop, which gives a fun vibe. We ordered chicken tenders and the crunch wrap and were told about 15-20 minutes. Unfortunately it took about 30. The crunch wrap was absolutely delicious, and I loved being able to have it gluten free. The chicken was cooked well, and the wrap itself didn't fall apart. Unfortunately, the chicken tenders were burnt and overcooked. I'm betting that's where the extra 10 minutes came in, they were just cooking away in the fryer. The fries were over seasoned and pretty greasy. I'd stick to the "Mexican style" food over the fried things for a better meal. We are out-of-towners who were in the area to ride bikes, so finding the local bike shop was priority number one. I love when the local bike shop is *truly* a LOCAL bike shop, and not some generic conglomerate that has hired locals. We got so many excellent recommendations on where to ride, what to look out for, and any setup changes we should make based on our individual setups. For those who didn't bring bikes, renting bikes was quick and painless. They took the time to get us dialed in before we were off to ride. The merch was top-notch. My only (very minor) disappointment was that the green hat that I bought to match the jersey I also bought was a children's hat. I missed that at time of purchase and didn't realize it until we were back at our rental for the night. It's okay, I brought it back the next day and they were cool about it and let me swap my kids hat for a different adult-size hat, even though they didn't have any green adult hats. I wish we had a few extra days in the area, I would have loved to join some of the local group rides that seem to meet here to ride regularly. We did eat lunch here one of the days. It was so nice to eat outside. There was a good flow of people in and out, but it didn't feel overwhelmingly busy. We had a group of 8, and yet everything arrived just as quickly as we ordered it. I had a crunch wrap. It felt like a lot of food, but it hit the spot. If I find myself back in the area, I will definitely visit again. Highly recommend. read more

Ranch Camp was great! The atmosphere is so laid-back. They have a great beer, wine, and non-alcoholic selection, as well as an extensive menu. The majority of our group had the "crunch wrap", which was fabulous. I also enjoyed the beet salad with the addition of chicken. Everything was fresh, and the portion sizes were very generous. The waitstaff and kitchen are very cautious with allergies, and no one in our group had issues. We can safely say that Ranch Camp is celiac/gluten free friendly! Buffalo crispy chicken sandwich was KILLER!!!! Came with really well seasoned tortilla chips or you can sub for fries but the chips are amazing! Also tried the Stowe high and dry cider and that was absolutely incredible. Went with my dad who's extremely talkative and animated and our server was just great! The food has been and is excellent. I've visited many times and have never had a bad meal. The change from self ordering to table service is ...interesting. Out of ~10 trips with table service, maybe 2 have been positive. More often than not, we're waiting 10+ minutes after finishing our food before the server stops by. Drink refills aren't offered until we're done eating. Most recently, we were one of four tables in the restaurant. The bar was empty, and instead of being checked on, the servers were on their phones at the counter. At least hide in the kitchen if you can't do your job. We'll probably switch to take out, but it is disappointing. read more

What I love about Ranch Camp is how vegan friendly it is! It is the perfect fast casual spot for lunch or sharing small plates with veg and non-veg. Right along the rail trail, you will see plenty of folks meet here after a bike ride or hike to enjoy a meal and beer! My absolute favorite is the nachos! This time we went with the Mexican theme also tried the tofu tacos and crunchwrap with tofu. Honestly, they were all super fresh, healthy and delicious, but very much the same. I would recommend diversifying your order and get only of those three (I didn't ask but maybe they can add tofu to the nachos), the Fried Artichokes, and Buffalo Cauliflower. Great local beers on tap! Definitely one of our usual spots to visit in Stowe. If you go when the weather is warm, the outside patio is pup friendly! We love coming here after skiing. We appreciate that they offer so many GF options. We are not vegan, but they have MANY vegan options too. It's also just good after-skiing food. It's casual, so head over in your skiing (or biking) attire. It's in a bike shop, which is also cool. They also have a variety of local beer on tap, and a rotating GF beer, cider, wine, etc. Service is a combo of help yourself and waiter/bartender. You can help yourself to water and you go to one of two counters to order, but there is a bartender and someone who will bring food to your table. Good selection of beers and ciders. Extensive menu that's not very expensive. Friendly service. No reservations taken and unless it's peak tourist season you can find a table. Cons: every food item I tried either lacked flavor or what flavor there was didn't do it for me. The corn salsa was bland. The sticky balls Brussels sprouts had too much soy sauce taste. There is a large circular corner mirror that can help you see if another car is approaching. They are an eco-friendly restaurant as they provide compostable plasticware and paper to-go boxes. Ranch Camp's menu features a hefty amount of vegan food, though you can also find non vegan items if you so choose. The falafel was warm and yummy.
