I highly recommend Chuck's Bikes. My wife's tire ruptured on the Lamoille Bike Trail and they replaced both tires promptly and at a very reasonable price. The original tires were 700x35mm and were not ideal for packed gravel. The bike tech recommended and fitted some nice 700x40mm tires with treads appropriate for this trail. We were back on the trail with minimal time lost. I don't usually write reviews, but this bike shop deserved it. read more

I am the type of buyer who does a ton of research before making a purchase. The bike I decided on, the Marin DSX FS, checked all the boxes. Appropriate price, a versatile bike with good components, and a color and style I liked. Fortunately for me this is a bike carried by Chuck's Bikes in Morrisville. The bike I bought from Hank at Chuck's Bike's turned out to as perfect for me as I had hoped. But what I wasn't aware of at the time was that this bike purchase turned out to provide me with the best retail experience I've ever had in my 55 years of life. For Hank, the customer comes first before his own needs. He wants the customer to have a bike that fits right, that is appropriate for the type of riding they will do, and wants that person leaving his shop thinking that everything was done to make him or her happy. I spent a fair amount of time at Chuck's Bikes the day I purchased. I never felt rushed. I discussed with Hank and his 2 employees the best ways to make the bike fit and work for me. All three were patient, extremely knowledgable and kind. I couldn't believe how busy this small bike shop was that day. But I can see way. I can totally understand why Chuck's Bikes is the only store I've come across with a 5/5 rating. I think most of us who have shopped there would double that score if we could. I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with this shop and the good folks who run it. Maybe I did something right that set me on the path to have that interaction. If you are looking for a bike, make sure it's a brand that Hank carries at his shop. You will thank your lucky stars. read more

While on vacation we went to ride the Morrisville Bike trail and found out the rear brakes on my wife's bike were not working. Stopped into Chuck's Bike shop figuring we'd have to leave it with him. Hank told us to bring the bike in and he'd take a look. Hank quickly went to work on making the repair. About 15 minutes later we were back on the trail. Chuck was a very friendly owner and was helpful in pointing out the bike routes, since we were from out of town. He even recommended a great Napal lunch spot across the street. Had a very positive experience. Feels like an old-fashioned bike shop with friendly service and unusually good selection for a small town. Ended up buying a hybrid bike for my 6'1 son, which he loves. I recommended Chuck's to a friend and he ended up buying a bike for both himself and his daughter. We drove over from the Northeast Kingdom to pick up a 26er wheel for my son's classic hardtail. We got a super price on a high-quality wheel, and met very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable folks. While we have some GREAT local bike shops here in the northern part of the state, we were welcomed just like family down in Mo-ville. This is a wonderful place. We rented excellent bikes for $10 a day. The second day we needed a bike rack. $5 a day! We expressed surprise at the low price. Hank's response: "Greed has no home here." The shop is next to a finished segment of the Lamoille Valley Rails to Trails trail, a beautiful 15-mile stretch. read more

Bought a set of 26" downhill wheels from Chuck's Bikes. Just overwhelemd of all the options for disc brake adapters, i contacted him to give me advise. Instead of buying cheap China stuff without any service or advice, i thought i buy at Chuck's Bikes. And what a surprise it was to hear that the price is even lower than amazon and the service is included. Hank does know what he is talking about and i can recommend.
