They would not fix or even be bothered to look at it because " it's a cheap bike" which in my humble opinion is a cop-out to not have to fix and blame the problem on the bike rather than admit to they're incompetence. No apology no offer for future store credit just a "sucks to be you" Never EVER! Will I bring a bike to these charlatans. She even offered a high-quality lock to go with the bike and told me to bring it back anytime if I ever have problems. If you need a used bicycle I'd highly recommend Betty's on the waterfront. Awesome rail trail that runs from Burlington VT and over Lake Champlain. The trail is mostly paved,…read moreoff road, and has some epic views and pull offs to take in the wonderful scenery. We took the trail from North beach and pedaled 7.5 miles to where the trail breaks and you can take a ferry to the other side of the Chanel. This rail trail was the main attraction to our visit to Burlington, and it did not disappoint!

I had been thinking about buying a Fjallraven Kanken backpack (you know the one, the adorable square backpack that looks like a little kid's bag) for awhile so it was neat to see them in person and all the different colors. They also have lots of outdoor gear, other backpacks, apparel, and a sale area in the lower level. We stopped in twice during our long weekend in Burlington and the employees were really helpful and friendly, offering to show us any color of bag we could imagine and explaining some of the features of some of the products. The store is large and fully stocked with anything you need to be a cool Swedish hipster in nature! The products they sell are pretty pricey but the backpack we got is guaranteed for life and is water-resistant due to the beeswax coating. I really enjoyed checking out this shop and was impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff.

I was…read morelooking for a review to write for the Island Line Rail Trail, but this seems to be the same thing. From a runner's perspective, I don't search for bike paths to run, to let the cyclists have their routes, so I searched for best runs in Burlington and found the Island Line Rail Trail. What a gem! There are some parts where you are running through neighborhoods, but it's relatively well labeled so you don't get confused, like some other paths in the area. After you run or bike past Airport Park to the gravel portion and marble causeway, you'll reach what's arguably the most picturesque portion of the path to see beautiful views of Lake Champlain. When you get into the Colchester Causeway, you're in the lake - going for a few miles, until you reach a gap. If you care to do so for a small fee, take a short bike ferry and continue along for about another mile. Then, turn around and go back. You'll see neighborhoods and parks, cross the Winooski River on a picturesque bridge, possibly see wildlife like egrets (beautiful!) and herons and even a bald eagle (locals told me about the eagles). Different parts help you see the Lake, but also to just see Burlington's green spaces. Part of this path is run during the Vermont City Marathon, if you look down in the southern portion of the trail, you can see the markings. Even if you're not a runner, this is such a treat for someone who lives here or is visiting - because it's hard to get lost, you don't really need a map, and it's a good long 13 or so miles to just be in nature. So, just find the nearest connection to where you are and get onto the path - you'll enjoy it, wherever and for however long your journey.

I found them pretty quickly - they were just sitting out on the counter so I snagged one. The store is quite large and we took some time to browse - I wasn't really looking for anything specific, but it's always nice to be able to see products in person. They had a good sale section. I loved the local recommendations sprinkled on chalkboards throughout the store - so helpful! I also loved that we were greeted when we came in - it's a small gesture but can really make a difference when visiting businesses and I always appreciate it.
