The original tires were 700x35mm and were not ideal for packed gravel. The bike tech recommended and fitted some nice 700x40mm tires with treads appropriate for this trail. Women's Skills Mountain Bike Clinic: My friend and I both…read moreparticipated in the beginner women's clinic this weekend and loved it. She was a very beginner with no experience on a mountain bike, and I already two seasons of riding in out West. We both equally benefited from the course; she was able to develop a solid foundation of skills, and I was able to correct some of the bad habits I developed being self-taught. Nobody should be intimidated by the course, as the first half of the class was off the trail going over the very basics. The second half of the class was the group ride through some of the "green and blue" single track trails at Trapps all together with a leader and a sweeper. In just four hours I felt so much more comfortable with my riding and gained a better trust in what my bike is capable of. To top it off, we had an amazing group of women in our class. Our Instructors Shelly and Shannon were amazing and made everyone feel comfortable and they made sure we all had fun.

I've been in a couple of times this week to grab necessities, and they've been fantastic. Knowledgeable, helpful, patient with my rowdy toddler. Since they're brand new, their stock is a little thin, but I was told it's all rolling in still. The stock they do have is good quality and the aesthetics are fantastic.

They even replaced the part with one from a nicer line. When I went to pay they said that it was quick and easy and the part they used was "spare parts" so I didn't have to. I tried to insist but they wouldn't let me and just started working on the next board. Awesome store that I would highly recommend for both their gear selection, and specifically their extremely reasonably priced repair services!

Pro tip: for a little mountain bike recharge- Grab a drink and a snack from the market and post up on a picnic bench. The Constant flow of bikers is always amusing.

What?!? No rave reviews for Kingdom Experiences yet?? I am thrilled to be the first!…read more This past Memorial Day weekend was our second time using Kingdom Experiences for our guides Kingdom Trails. We went back to them because our first experience was so great, and we'll be back with them again later this season! Our guide Ian was outstanding. He talked to us about the type of riding we were looking to do, and perfectly matched our skills and time frame to our ride. He checked in frequently during the ride to make sure the pace and trails were a fit for us. I would recommend Kingdom Experiences highly. Both email and phone conversations with Caitlin were easy and pleasant. Get out and RIDE!

Bikes are great- the basic e-bike has wider, cruiser style seats but apparently a little less range than the performance bike. We did a full day ride on the basic e-bikes, over 20 miles each way to Hardwick and back, with a stop at 10 Railroad St on the way back. The next day, we took a half day ride to Jeffersonville and back. Recommend the Burger Barn and Smuggler's Notch Distillery there. Cabot Creamery was mid. It's just a store in a barn shaped building with no facilities. There is no dairy or cheese making, like Shelburne Farms. Good cheese, but hard to pack on a warm day. We went the extra mile to the Village Restaurant in downtown Hardwick for a very good brunch at a reasonable price.
