They sized my foot and convinced me that my toe should be touching the top of the boot, so I trusted their expertise and went with the purchase after having custom made foot beds placed. Trying boots on in the store is different than on the hill, as we all know. I regret buying these boots after wearing them for the past 2 seasons. My toes, feet, and legs hate them. ive gone back to the store multiple times to tell them the boots are too small, they've tried making adjustments for me, which i appreciate, but it doesn't fix the problem. i dont recommend going here because they might size you too small/aggressively.

I emailed Umiak and paid over the phone for a 2pm rental at the Waterbury Reservoir. It was super easy. Perle and his co-workers were extremely helpful and got us in the water just after 2. We had both kayaked before. The boats are in great shape, everything was clean and in good working order. Understandably, the parking area was quite full, but Perle encouraged us to park along the road, making it less challenging to leave later. We had until around 430pm to return the boats, which was helpful because there was a bit of a bottleneck at the boat launch on a Friday afternoon. They took everything back to the shop, saving is a trip! We had a great time, the price was right ($45 x 2 for 2.5 hrs), and we'll love to come back!

Arrived as it was leaving with another customer. I was very interested in a kayak Umiak advertised on their website. I called and spoke to Brian on Sunday to confirm it was there. He advised it was there. I explained that I was VERY interested and was concerned it would be sold before I could come see it. I was assured it was fine and not to be concerned. Monday we had a snow storm. I called and spoke to Brian. I explained I was really wanted that kayak and was worried it would be sold before I could get there. I provided Brian with my credit card info etc. and asked if he could consider it SOLD. He took all my info and said he wouldn't charge the card until I got there but that the Kayak was mine. I spoke to another person there Tuesday and explained that, as it was a 14' kayak, I'd like to come with a trailer but couldn't be there until Saturday. I was assured that my name was on that kayak, they had even just wiped it down for me and it would be ready for me Saturday. I explained again that I was concerned about it being sold before I could get there but was assured it was fine. Saturday I arrived just as the kayak I had "purchased" was leaving in the bed of another persons pickup. Brian apologized, said he had messed up, etc. none of which does me any good. A specific trip was made to Stowe. If I'd had any indication I should get there earlier I would have. I'm not sure if this is incompetence or a lack of ethics on their end but unfortunately I, as a consumer, have no recourse but to complain. Maybe someone in the future will be aware that this is not a business that lives up to it's word.

Some products are great while others are garbage. I bought a…read moreturtle fur neck warmer from a ski shop in December 2017, it was great but then I lost it, bought another one at the same ski shop in December 2018. I then noticed after purchase that Turtle Fur American company but the product is made in China, seems lame for such a simple design as a neck warmer. After a few days of wearing the new neck warmer, fluff started to ball up and stick to my beard, sweater, jacket and everywhere else and continues to get worse. I've tried washing to specifics only to find no change in the amount of shedding. I called Turtle Fur and they offered no help. This product is cheap Chinese garbage, may be just these blues one? The one I'm speaking of is made of polyester.
