After discussing four different ski options with Mike, and two days of demos, I opted to purchase a pair and could not be more thrilled. 100% worth it. Literally- don't pass up this company!…read more We were traveling from Louisiana (where there's no need for snow clothes) to Colorado where we would definitely need weather appropriate clothing. KitLender had it all. I ordered a full kit for myself (a north face jumpsuit, boots, gloves, and goggles) as well as a pair of snow pants. My husband got a snow bib and boots. And my toddler got a full kit (snow bib, jacket, boots, mittens, and goggles). ALL of this for a fraction of the cost to buy. However, the best part was I had to pack NONE of it. It was delivered to my lodge, we used it, repacked it, and it was picked up by FedEx from the lodge to go back to KitLender. I think it was the least stressful part of our family vacation (lol). WILL DEF BE USING AGAIN! THANKS KL!

Zero stars if that were an option. Absolute failure when it mattered most…read more I ordered ski clothing from Kit Lender for 9 people nearly a full month in advance (28 days) for what was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime family trip to Big Sky. We did everything right to avoid issues. Kit Lender did everything wrong. When FedEx tracking showed delays, I proactively contacted the company on December 31. I was reassured they were "working on options." That reassurance turned out to be meaningless. Fast forward to January 2, the night before our 8am flight, and suddenly I'm told nothing can be done. It gets worse. When I called customer service, I was actually told that I should drive to Billings, Montana to pick up the shipment myself from a FedEx warehouse. Let that sink in. Their proposed solution was that I abandon my travel plans to fix their logistics failure. I asked a very reasonable question: why not arrange Saturday delivery, since the items were already sitting at the Billings FedEx facility? I was told a manager named Ben would call me back after speaking with FedEx. He never did. Instead, Ben sent a dismissive email claiming FedEx doesn't deliver to business addresses on weekends. I immediately responded clarifying that we were staying in a private home, not a business. No response. I called again asking for Ben. The person who answered hesitated, clearly knew who I was, and said "uhhh... is this Nikki?" before telling me Ben would call me shortly. He never did. I have now called four times and am sent straight to voicemail. No callback. No urgency. No ownership. Here's the part that matters most: This was a bucket-list trip for my mother, who has breast cancer. She asked for her children and their partners to take her skiing in Big Sky. We spent an enormous amount of money on this trip. And thanks to Kit Lender's complete lack of accountability, we are arriving with no ski clothing for anyone and scrambling at the last minute to fix a problem that should never have happened. Yes, they offered a refund. And then they disappeared. Refunds don't fix ruined plans. Refunds don't replace lost time. Refunds don't excuse a total failure of customer care when things go wrong. Every company looks good when everything goes smoothly. Kit Lender showed exactly who they are when things were in distress. The answer was silence, deflection, and indifference. If your trip matters to you, do not trust this company. When it counted, they did not care -- not about our vacation, not about solutions, and certainly not about their customers.

My toes, feet, and legs hate them. ive gone back to the store multiple times to tell them the boots are too small, they've tried making adjustments for me, which i appreciate, but it doesn't fix the problem. i dont recommend going here because they might size you too small/aggressively.

The experience was superb. The store takes a smallish footprint on Mountain Road on the way to the Stowe resort. Plenty of seating, well-stocked displays and a friendly and attentive shopkeeper. The technology is quite different than when I made by Surefoot boots at Whistler many years ago. Much more of a comfortable experience, and with the attendant explaining every step of the process. The boots now have Integrated heaters to make even a more pleasant experience. Yes they are not cheap but considering that boots are the number one determinant of both, enjoyment of the sport as well as performance on the snow, custom made boots are a great value. And my sister in law got a really nice ski helmet on sale, on top of that. Happy customers throughout.

The space is really large, there is a nice outside area, and there are bikes to look at! Plus, there are plenty of kid arts supplies at the hostess station and the staff are so kid-friendly! In fact, the service is top notch all around, which is particularly notable because Stowe, like many big tourist areas, seems to have, let's say, an often inattentive service culture. I liked all the options (vegan, gluten free, customizable protein) available on the menu. I had the rock power bowl with chicken, which was filling and nourishing and full of good stuff (greens, brown rice, black beans, avocado, corn). My only suggestion would be to add cheese (for non-vegans). It could haxe used a little salt. The burritos were huge and got thumbs up from around the table. Unfortunately, we had a poor experience tonight and won't be returning. We ordered burritos - and either they scraped the bottom of the rice or it was sitting out too long because it had dried out to the level of becoming stone-hard. They offered to make us a replacement, which we appreciated, but then took 20 minutes to do so. Understandable if they had to prepare a fresh batch of rice. After that though, we kept waiting for our check for 15 more minutes with no server in sight. We finally got up and checked out at the bar. After paying $54 for a meal we really were disappointed in, we feel we really have no reason to return sadly. The flavors seemed good, if only they could've cared about the execution details and customer service. I wish I could've tried the falafel burger and nachos - both sound good.

Jake and Emma are fantastic humans, stayed calm and cool through our scary situation…read more I signed up for the 9 mile upper river gorge, rented 2 kayaks. The description mentioned 6 years old and up, So I figured awesome, easy enough for my boyfriend who had never gone kayaking before. There are two rapids that seemed easy enough, but my boyfriend flipped on the first rapid and that kind of set the tone going forward. Getting closer to the second rapid, you could hear the roar of the water, when I could actually see the spot we had to go through, it was cut through large boulders. We where never told to stay to a certain side or that the water level was extremely high. As we got closer to the rapid I could see 3 whirlpools and knew it was going to be trouble for my boyfriend, who was already shaken up at this point. The whirlpool pulled us away from the rapid and towards the boulder, my boat filled with water and dumped me, the multiple whirlpools kept pulling my under trapping me, every time I popped up I could hear my boyfriend screaming for me. We tried to get out and by the whirlpools but there unfortunately was 4 and the current was to strong with the water being to high. I was able to get service and call umiak, I spoke to Emma who stayed cool and calm and Jake showed up like a super hero! We hade to walk up stream and cross the river at a "calmer" spot. Jake grabbed our kayaks and got us to safety once we crossed the river. Jake did mention the river was high and on the verge or requiring a guide, and that we should have gone a certain way around and island to approach the rapid. My boyfriend was shaken up and not willing to go on, understandably. When we got back to our cabin Emma had called to offer us the kayaks at the reservoir. Overall the folks who work at Umiak are fantastic and so caring. Unfortunately we had a really bad time that ended with some trauma, and a sprained finger for my boyfriend, and bruises all over my body. I also understand these are non refundable trips, but I don't feel like I should have to pay the full price for less then a quarter of the experience.

Arrived as it was leaving with another customer. I was very interested in a kayak Umiak advertised on their website. I called and spoke to Brian on Sunday to confirm it was there. He advised it was there. I explained that I was VERY interested and was concerned it would be sold before I could come see it. I was assured it was fine and not to be concerned. Monday we had a snow storm. I called and spoke to Brian. I explained I was really wanted that kayak and was worried it would be sold before I could get there. I provided Brian with my credit card info etc. and asked if he could consider it SOLD. He took all my info and said he wouldn't charge the card until I got there but that the Kayak was mine. I spoke to another person there Tuesday and explained that, as it was a 14' kayak, I'd like to come with a trailer but couldn't be there until Saturday. I was assured that my name was on that kayak, they had even just wiped it down for me and it would be ready for me Saturday. I explained again that I was concerned about it being sold before I could get there but was assured it was fine. Saturday I arrived just as the kayak I had "purchased" was leaving in the bed of another persons pickup. Brian apologized, said he had messed up, etc. none of which does me any good. A specific trip was made to Stowe. If I'd had any indication I should get there earlier I would have. I'm not sure if this is incompetence or a lack of ethics on their end but unfortunately I, as a consumer, have no recourse but to complain. Maybe someone in the future will be aware that this is not a business that lives up to it's word.
