The debate about bagels is never ending. Some people are purists that only like the smaller variety that clearly have been fermented and yadda yadda. Some people like a big, Americanized bagel and I tend to fall into that group. It's kinda like real Italian food in Italy and East Coast American Italian. Some people like the American version best. I drive past four other Burlington bagel spots that are closer on my way to Green Mountain. Pam and her staff are always busy but busy with a smile and great attitude. Went to Green Mountain Bagel for the first time on our recent trip to Vermont. We typically go to a shop in Burlington but decided to stop here since we were staying nearby. For 11am it was pretty crowded and while there were plenty of people behind the counter, the line moved somewhat slow. I ordered a Taylor ham, egg and cheese in everything for my husband, and olive cream cheese on a plain bagel for myself. I was shocked to see the egg and Taylor ham being cooked via microwave, but husband said it was fine, but the Taylor ham could've been more well done. My bagel had very little cream cheese. This was my first visit to GMB. I didn't know what to expect. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a maple wheat bagel. It didn't disappoint. Can't wait to come back. My only complaint would be that the people working behind the counter were not very pleasant. They weren't rude but just looked miserable. Maybe they were having a bad day? my family and i stopped here when we were on our way to spend the day in Burlington. it was super crowded but we were able to order quickly. the staff was very helpful and nice and took our orders quick. we sat down and waited maybe 5 minutes for our order. we ordered a 4 cheese bagel, an everything bagel, and two sausage burritos. everything was delicious!! there aren't a ton of tables to sit at so we got lucky being able to sit and eat. read more

I normally don't have an issue when I come here. However today was different I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and banana peppers. When I got out to my car I noticed I didn't have any and went in side to ask for more since I paid for them. The person with half their hair blue the other side black smirked and continued to smirk and laugh quietly while getting my food. I asked them what was so funny and their was response was "I forgot". Bagel plus is located in multiple places but the one I like to go to is in Williston Vermont. When you walk in they have a place where you go in order if you have any questions for the makers of the bagel sandwiches . They're very knowledgeable; they have the tempo of busting people along so keep that in mind, no procrastinating! Know what you want and get it done. If you are military make sure you have your ID on you you can show that to them and they can give you a discount. They also make other kind of pastries in the morning as well cookies muffins and other goodies as well. They do have beverages coffee sodas and Waters and juices chocolate milk and milk. Stuff like that, basic breakfast stuff. The sandwiches are very delicious. They do have an array of variety up on the menu but you also can build your own. It is not a big deal, I like to order the cranberry orange bagel with bacon egg and cheese and you got to let them know what kind of cheese you want a chili pepper cheddar it's a good go to Wholesome Sandwich breakfast meal. read more

There are more than a dozen signs in sheet protectors taped around, with information and instructions about all sorts of things, as well as lines added to the menu signs about Williston and Vermont's Room and Meals Taxes and how to avoid them. We guests must need serious guidance and to be told about the fact that things get taxed. (Not having a problem with schools and roads and plowing, I think paying taxes to make living in Vermont as nice as it is is just fine, and not to be avoided.) The staff don't seem particularly pleased to be here or to see me. There's a nice selection of bagels, but everything is priced a bit high for a strip mall. The best thing I can say about Bagels Plus is that they don't have a TV. No WiFi, either, though. If you have time, go to Burlington or Essex Junction for a better bagel experience. read more

Overall, good experience. The food was great, the service was great. The ordering system was a little confusing, and my only real jab is the lack of variety regarding dietary preferences and restrictions. They had a lot of flavors of bagels and cream cheese, but nothing non-dairy or gluten free. This is one of the few places I've been too without those options, so it was disappointing. Visited 11/05/2017 I am torn between, meh I've had better, and a-ok... Difficult to find a place to park at 12noon on a Sunday, and it wasn't crowded on the inside.... Once we overcame that little dilemma, it was on to mass confusion concerning the ordering process. There were a sea of faces behind the counter, all clustered in one section, busily chatting away to each other. Couldn't tell if they were talking to us or the people behind us. Other than a hello, no one asked us what we wanted. We stood there a while, perusing an extensive menu, for a bagel place, and once we decided on our choices, I was able to get one of the young ladies attention and place our order, which, they were out of...Finally I just got a plain bagel w/Cheddar, egg & bacon. It was done as soon as I paid for it, but, my daughters, which was just a plain bagel with plain cream cheese drizzled with honey, took over 6 minutes to come out. All these other orders kept going by us... Back to our car to eat, as it was too uncomfortable inside, we tried our bagels. The texture was different than what I am use to. The bagel was flatter and had a chewy texture. The flavors were good with the egg, bacon and cheddar. My daughter enjoyed her cc & honey. The BEST part was HOT, FRESHLY BREWED HAZELNUT COFFEE! Once I could get to the coffee bar to pour it... The price was nice. About 10.00 for 2 bagels and a large hot coffee. Yes we would go back, but, if I saw another bagel place close by, I would be tempted to give it a try first. read more

This is my favorite place to get breakfast before work in Williston. The staff is fast and efficient. There is a very large selection of bagels, cream cheeses, and coffee flavors. Their bagels, sandwiches, and soups are great, though their breakfast sandwiches with meat and eggs could use some improvement. The price is definitely right; less than five bucks for a bagel with flavored cream cheese and a large coffee. Less than five bucks for a bowl of delicious soup with a buttered bagel. The past few times we wanted bagels we have decided to stop at this location. Its very clean and its located in the middle of Williston. So its not to far out of our way. And for the most part its been ok! The service here is pretty simple. Go up to the counter and place your order. Then they simply make your bagel to order. The staff seems friendly but at times they don't seem to interested in wanting to help you out. However we have not had any major runs here. This past Sunday after we made our order we had gone to our table to be out of the way of the lunch rush. (Around 11:30 or so.) But after they made our bagels they never even yelled it out like the last time we had gone. So we got cold bagels that day... The food here taste good though. They have all kinds of bagels to pick from! Plus meats, cream cheese and veggies. So there is something here for everyone. The quality of the bagels are pretty consistent as well. No real complaints here. Other than the lack of communication the last time. The prices here are set pretty high. For 2 bagels, 1 chip and soda to share will set you back about $20 total. So be ready to pay up! So at the end of the day its a good location. Its clean but its not cheap. The staff could be a lot better as well with the communication and all. I would hate to see them on a super busy day! Lucky for us we have only come here on the slower Sunday lunch. So I had to go with a 2/5. If they staff was better and more organized I could see this being a 4 or even a 5 star restaurant. Until then I will stick with my guns at a 2/5! The worst thing I can say about Bagels Plus is that they serve Green Mountain Coffee, which a lot of local spots have moved on from as better options have become available. I guess they just don't do anything that sets them apart for me. If you call an order in, the first words you will here are " PLEASE HOLD" and then nothing for quite a bit.... over the last 52 weeks I heard that from the individual whom answered the phone. On 43 occasions and for those occasions i did not hear "Please HOLD" it was the weekend and not the same individual. Also do not request additional " Spicy Mayo" they charge an additional .50 WOW what a disappointment. **** Summary**** - Food is Very good....
