The BEST chicken salad I've ever had!! The ciabatta bread is sooo good! It's definitely overpriced but a great treat once in a while.

The food is excellent. The staff is well-trained, friendly, and efficient. It's a terrific place for lunch or brunch. The baked goods are also stellar. It's nice to have the option of indoor or deck seating. Have never had a bad experience here, and we are regular patrons, and have tried most menu items. Interesting business model: high prices and no table service. You order at a counter and are then told where to sit. Your bill includes a tip for the kitchen, but it also says that the business cannot pay tips for waitstaff. Really? I paid $16.75 for basic breakfast eggs, potatoes and sausage. Toast was $1.50 extra. Coffees were $3.75 each. My partner and I shared one plate to cut costs. After the tip, the bill came to $33 and change. For one very basic breakfast! From a positive aspect, the place is immaculate. We probably could have refilled our coffee (VT Coffee) for no extra charge. Tables were very clean and I've never seen a cleaner restaurant floor. The staff who delivered our food were a grade above average. In exchange for the priciness and rigid rules, you do get a good meal in nice surroundings, but the price shocked me after all the extra charges. read more

I have to say that Chefs Corner is my favorite breakfast place in Williston by far. I just had what I can only describe as the ultimate bowl of oatmeal there and it was by far a delicacy. Never experienced a treat like that and I would order it over a traditional breakfast any day. The waitress just told me they add granola to it but it's more than that. Try it next time you go!!! This is based on the raspberry vanilla buttercream cake which was absolutely gorgeous in presentation - the icing and ribbons of shaved raspberry/vanilla on top, slicing through you can see the beauty/work inside. And every bite was full of moist vanilla cake, with creamy but not too heavy vanilla icing and raspberry preserve. This and Mirabelles are my favorite VT bakeries. The only reason I continued to tolerate this place is the fact that they sell my favorite chicken salad. I'm no longer willing to put up with their shenanigans. They now have run out of it "right before I get there" the last 3 times I have been there. So I'm done putting up with the rest. They add a large gratuity to all orders (to pay their kitchen staff with) Because they are so dishonest they can't just raise the prices so you could fairly consent to what they are going to charge you. They have a children's menu, the inside is super clean and cute, they also have outside sitting. We went twice and noticed the menu changed or perhaps it only changes on the weekend. If you are in Burlington VT area and not tasting these awesome meals from Chef's Corner, you are seriously missing out this hidden gem. Love their Egg Benedict (especially salmon one) but everything else is truly delicious. We tried many breakfast places in Burlington area but nothing can't even come close to this place. Lunch menu selections are great and their to-go menu options are incredible as well. Pastries are out of this world, too. Every item is perfect - not too sweet, not too salty, not too greasy. My wife wanted lunch so we stopped by. Having just had a tooth pulled, I could only eat soup but it was Gazpacho. So while she ordered I just ordered a Maple creamie. We met some family there, and they refused to move them to a bigger table so we could be seated together. There were tables that could have accommodated us. The older woman with the dark hair was visibly upset that we asked. I felt terrible for the other staff, they looked embarrassed. We were very polite when we asked and did not push it at all. Let me start by saying that this was by far one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. The best thing about it was how soft and fresh the bread was. The cappuccino I ordered was prepared well and they even had milk substitutes which was great. The dining room was clean & spacious which allowed us to fully enjoy our breakfast. We ordered our breakfast from a vast over the counter menu and were given a number and sat down in the dining room. Our chai lattes came out almost immediately! Stopped in for a quick healthy bite to eat and was hoping to get breakfast/brunch, but they were only serving lunch. Also, by the time I got there, they were sold out of their special panini. You order at the counter, then they give you a table number and when your food is ready they bring it over to you. The tables were spread out and socially distanced. You grab your own water by the cash register. My boyfriend ordered the Caesar Salad with Roasted Chicken and I ordered the Mixed Greens Salad with Roasted Chicken. The portion sizes were huge! I had a Hibiscus Iced Tea as well, which was very tart and tangy, not sweet to my liking. My boyfriend loved the Caesar Salad with Roasted Chicken and finished the entire bowl. He really liked the croutons in it. I liked my Mixed Greens Salad; however, I didn't find the roasted chicken to be good. There were too many herbs and it was a little dry. My boyfriend suggested I only eat the thicker pieces because it would be juicier, but I ended up eating everything but the chicken. On the way out, I looked at the bakery section and had to order a mini maple cheesecake because when in Vermont you need to try anything maple. I am so glad I ordered this. It was delicious! The cheesecake was smooth and creamy, and the graham cracker crust was sweet and crunchy. Perfect amount of maple flavor and really hit my sweet tooth spot! Yay! We found it! It's in a brand new GORGEOUS location but not too far from the previous location. The last location was a little bit tight. This one was very modern and spacious and even has an outdoor area. I label this "Fancy Yummy Breakfast" When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who explained how things work. There are counters filled with scrumptious pastries, salads, bake goods, etc. and a menu to order from. We were there for breakfast. Its not fast food but its not menu. You order and pay and they give you a number and you sit in a newly and beautifully renovated dining room and wait. I ordered ice coffee which was good which was not refilled. I'm not sure if the hot coffee would be refilled. The Tea service was lovely on all the dishes they brought out. They have a water station which is in a big picture and there are lemons available as well. The dining room has some lovely peaceful music. When we were there it wasn't crowded so I can't judge the noise level. I ordered the Broccoli and cheddar quiche and the family had the All American. All excellent! I added on the home fries and they were nicely seasoned. I give this a solid 4.5 stars. The menu is a little bit limited and to me that's OK because it is UNIQUE! There is no omelettes, some things do sell out, and it is a little bit pricey comparable to other locations. With the bakery items and tip my bill was over $60 for breakfast for 3. Yikes. However the quality, service, experience, dining room was excellent! read more

Food is good. Service a little miserable, ambiance okay. But what really grinds my gears is the added percentage to your bill for the kitchen staff. Don't get me wrong, kitchen staff work very hard, and deserve to be paid a decent livable wage, but not by the customers! How about you pay them more? Your prices certainly reflect a more than decent profit. Or have a separate tip cup for them where the customer chooses to contribute. Don't add a sneaky charge to save you the expense of paying your staff a decent wage. Shameful. read more

I have had just breakfast and desserts here. The Eggs Benedict is good. I am usually out shopping when I stop in so I don't have savory meals here. Long wait times for both take out food, dining in and dessert case. It is a smallish space and Is one of only a few take out bakeries with pastries in the immediate area. A bit overpriced on some items. Friendly staff, but seem stressed sometimes with the customer flow. Dessert case and ordering is right inside the door so it can get tight and ineffective to get customers served promptly. I LOVE the Almond Tuille cookies! CRISP and flavorful! The Creme Brûlée is creamy and smooth with lovely flavor. The other cookies such as chocolate chip, oat peanut butter and such are a little thick and on the "Chewyish" side. I like a good crisp cookie so I don't buy those here. The establishment is clean and bright. read more

Their "new" space (I hadn't been here since 2008 is great. I ordered the all American and the home fries were perfection. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the sausage was delicious as well. Only draw back was they put two slices of bread on the plate that weren't toasted, and not good enough to just eat, butter or not! My gf had the pancakes. They were fantastic!
