The one thing I learned about visiting Vermont, at least during non-leaf season months, is most businesses keep scarce hours. For instance, this wonderful little shop was only open till 2pm on Sundays (when we were arriving) and not open at all on Mondays, the only other day we were going to be in Stowe. Knowing this ahead of time, but traveling from Saratoga Springs, NY to Stowe, VT, I kept watching the clock to attempt to make it there before they closed. We were successful, and even with only 10 minutes before they closed, they were so happy to serve us whatever we wanted. Trust me when I say we NEVER get that response where we live. In fact, we just make a point that if a restaurant closes within 30 minutes of our arrival around where we live, we don't even attempt it. But here, at Stowe Bee Bakery, they were as gracious and helpful as could be. What's more is that the food was OUTSTANDING. They made their tuna salad PERFECTLY with just the right amount of mayo, celery and scallions, and wrapped in an extremely fresh spinach wrap. It was packed so full of the tuna mixture, I couldn't eat more than half of it, and I was heartbroken to waste the other half. Since we were traveling and didn't know if our B&B had a refrigerator or any place to store the uneaten other half of my sandwich, I had to waste it. Such a shame. My husband ate all of his panini, although he can't remember now at this time of my reviewing what kind he had... but he said he loved it !! We also bought some bakery items because I had read they're really good, so of course, we had to see for ourselves. The problem was, however, that we never really got to eat them because we were either on the go nonstop, or we were too full after our meals to want anything else. A few days went by, and they spoiled. I did take a bite of the brownie we bought. It was rich, decadent, and perfectly baked, but unfortunately, I only got that one bite. The other 3-4 items, we had to throw out. I hated being so wasteful, but they sure looked wonderful. From my perspective, it's just a reason for us to return to Stowe, which was our favorite of all stops, so you can be sure we'd come back here to Stowe Bee Bakery. The older lady at the cash register was so sweet and checked in to see how we liked our food. I am not a big fan of biscuits nor breakfast sandwiches but this place has changed that. I have been going into Stowe Bee for years and have enjoyed everything, the food is great. However, I am have been deceived on charges and more than one time. $40.70 for 2 coffees and 2 bfst sandwiches. The lovely older woman says to me, "I just press the buttons" when I asked how it could be so much. Alas, she knows what's up. The sandwiches are listed as $6.95(?) but charged $8.96. The food is all grab and go (or grab and stay). Prepared every 5-10 minutes. The food was pretty average. I had the sausage egg and cheese biscuit and my partner ordered the crustless quiche. My sandwich was okay. My partner really liked her crustless quiche. I ordered a matcha latte. If you're a matcha lover, I'd avoid ordered a matcha. It was very clumpy and clearly not sifted or whisked well (I highly recommend you invest in a matcha making set-- they have them on Amazon for around $20-- this would elevate your matcha drinks for your customers). My partner got an iced hazelnut latte and said it was pretty mid. This is a great place to get sandwiches/pastries on the way to the ski hill (or even sit down and enjoy in their spacious seating area), but I'd go elsewhere for good beverages (maybe we didn't order well). read more

Small / cute bakery serving solid coffee along with wonderful pastries and baked goods. Stopped by here with my girlfriend before heading back home from Vermont. We ended up grabbing some coffee and pastries to go. Our coffee orders were an Americano and Cafe Au Lait. The coffee was standard and tasted good - the highlight here by far though is the baked goods though. We got two pastries and both of them were fantastic. We had a berry and cheese danish and a Maple Pecan Cake. The danish was texturally light but rich flavor wise. And the cake was arguably one of the best items of food we had all weekend. The maple pecan topping was absolutely delicious and the cake was baked to perfection - lightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I chose the cider donut shortbread cookie with maple icing! You read that right and it was the type of delicious where you close your eyes and savor every flavor. The shortbread was soft and the cookie itself was about 2 inches thick and 3 inches diameter. Absolute heaven. My husband chose the dark chocolate toffee scone. It was absolutely scrumptious; crispy around the edges and that "sandy" scone consistency in the center. We were headed out of Stowe after an amazing couple of days of R&R and wanted a quick breakfast to go and this quaint bakery fit the bill! The people were super friendly and all smiles while we decided what we wanted to order. Everything behind the glass cases looked incredible, but we were looking for specifically breakfast sandwiches. Lo and behold, a case with a sign titled: Artisan Breakfast Sandwiches with warm, fresh, premade sandwiches! I can't express enough how delicious my sandwich was. I ordered a simple egg and cheese, and it was probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my life! First off, there were at least 2 eggs in that sandwich! It was huge! I ordered a peanut butter cookie and a caramel macchiato with oat milk. Had I known the small was less than 8 ounces (probably 4 ounces), I would have ordered a large. That said, I am glad I didn't. My husband and I were visiting from California. We stumbled across this little bakery shop that was buzzing (see what I did there) with customers! I got the classic (big fluffy biscuit with fluffy egg and cheese) and my husband got the lord (like mine but with thick sliced bacon on it) these biscuit breakfast sandwiches were AMAZING!!!! It's a very fast paced bakery. They have the sandwiches ready to go. They also have a little Room to go sit and eat in if you'd like. Oh and I also ordered an amazing blueberry muffin we shared later on in the day during our adventures. Will say CHECK THE DAYS THEYRE OPEN. We loved it so much we went back the next day to grab a fast breakfast and they were closed. So bummed! We would have eaten there every morning!
