I wasn't the biggest fan of their plain coffee with almond milk, so I'd recommend getting a flavor in it. Great spot for a quick grab and go, and they have some canned and bottled drink too. They offer a solid breakfast and lunch menu. Breakfast is served until 10:45am but you can still get a bagel, just not the breakfast combos. The restaurant is a small space near the building entrance with a few places to sit inside and more out front where they have a pick-up window. We stopped in for a coffee and sandwich. Breakfast had just ended and I was sad, but here we are. So no 'all day' breakfast sandwiches here. Maybe because I was hoping for something else my sandwich was a bit disappointing. I can only describe it as bland. So take that with a grain of salt. It may be just what you want. The staff were pleasant. Food quality is good. Restaurant is clean. Outdoor seating is nice and there was a child booster seat available outside during our visit. Public restrooms are around the corner in the basement of the building. Came here for breakfast before skiing every morning. A cute little place with a variety of sandwiches, pastries, and soups. The workers are always so nice here. Inside has a couple of tables. I ordered the grilled cheese one day and it was okay! A little bland. The other days I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup and a croissant and loved it. Croissant was flakey and soft. I'm so happy that we tried Cafe on Main Street. it was absolutely delicious and the staff was amazing. These Belgian Waffles were so crunchy and sugary. They were very much like the ones I had in Belgium. Yummy bacon too! Loved it all! My cousins loved their breakfast sandwiches. The egg was super fluffy and the bacon was really crispy. This used to be my daily go-to spot for a hearty breakfast whenever I stayed in Stowe, VT. I was genuinely looking forward to returning after some 15 years--but what a letdown awaited me. There's clearly been at least one change in ownership, and unfortunately, not for the better. I ordered the main cooked breakfast and added sausage. What I received was shockingly sparse: two eggs, three tiny frozen-style link sausages, and a single slice of toast. No garnish, no Tabasco, no jam--nothing. Even worse, they had tossed little salt and pepper packets directly on the food, which I then had to pick off piece by piece. I honestly thought they'd handed me someone else's order. That sad little plate cost $11. Add to that $5 for a self-serve small black coffee--barely warm, nothing special--and the disappointment really set in. The young guy taking orders seemed completely disengaged, clueless, and visibly unhappy to be there. To top it off, I was hit with an iPad demanding a tip--starting at 20%--before I'd even seen the food or received any actual service. That's just insulting. I can't recommend this place at all anymore, and I definitely won't be returning. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and walk 100 yards to Black Cap Coffee. It's also over-the-top pricey but better in every way than this claustrophobic little cafe. read more

We've been coming back in Stowe for snowboarding and before hitting the slopes we had to stop here first.We always get the BLT's and we don't know why it's always delicious and fresh.The tomatoes are sweet , lettuce are so crispy and the bacon is out of this world.And also the maple coffee is a must!!!! Small breakfast place very close to the hotel where we were staying and just on the Main Street. Their oatmeal portion size is really large and comes with walnuts, raisins, brown sugar, and maple syrup. I omitted the syrup, and it was slightly sweet which is just how I like it. The bagels are just plain or everything and they can toast them and add cream cheese, PB, or jam. I will say the first day they did burn one of our bagels and still serve it which wasn't ideal. Overall, not too much seating inside and a couple of tables outside, so recommend it as a grab and go option. read more

The staff was very polite, and the iced coffee I ordered was pretty tasty. But prices are not listed in the board. I paid $8.80 for an iced coffee. I fully understand this is a touristy town, however, that is the highest I've ever paid for a coffee. I wish the pricing was made more clear on the hanging boards. We were visiting Stowe for the holiday weekend and stopped by based on the nice reviews. The food was solid (mushroom soup and brownie) but not exceptional and the coffee was pour yourself and room temperature. The service was really the dealbreaker. We were the most diverse people in the crowd and could get a sense that we weren't welcomed. That intuition was confirmed with two other POC folks came in asking the staff questions and were paid no mind. On top of that, I was with my mom and they made her pour coffee at a height that wasn't accessible for her and we were the only guests that didn't get a "have a nice greeting." Won't be coming back here and wouldn't recommend going here unless you're white-presenting. Edit: we did get to speak to the manager and appreciated having our feedback heard in person. read more

This little cafe is inside the multi-level Vermont gift, clothing and book store. We had a light lunch late in the afternoon close to when they were closing. They have a half sandwich and cup of soup special that we took advantage of. I had a hlaf grilled cheese and a cup of vegan pea soup and my friend had a half grilled cheese and their chicken noodle soup. The food was really good, nice texture on the white bread and cabot cheese melted just how you'd expect on a good grilled cheese.
