    Pulled pork banh mi
    Meg A.

Tucked away from downtown, Cafe Noa has ample parking, a large & light filled cafe, and an impressive menu of items for breakfast and lunch. The banh mi was flavorful and hearty. Offered with pulled pork or tempeh, the crusty baguette, flavorful kimchi and sriracha mayo combined to create quite a tasty sandwich. Served with a small side of ruffled potato chips, it's about 5 dollars more than one would pay at a mom and pop spot in Seattle or SF, but it was as delicious. The Chicken Cesar salad hit the spot, with its warm, thinly chopped chicken. I think the crotons were homemade but I could be wrong. It wasn't out of this world (a zest of lemon and fresh parmesan would do wonders) but it was dressed lightly and was an abundant portion. This cafe has everything going for it and with a few easy upgrades, it could easy be a 5 star experience. Little touches, such as serving meals on real plates and bowls instead of disposals, upgraded bathrooms, rearranged tables, and a clearer and more efficient way to order (the chalk menu inside the entrance creates a bottleneck) would elevate Cafe Noa and make it a true destination for locals and visitors alike. Worth a return visit, for sure.

    Brisket sandwich - amazing!!!!

The Montpelier locals are lucky!!! I drove out of my way to have lunch here, and it was worth it. Went with the brisket, and it was one of the best sandwiches of my life. I will be dreaming of that sandwich from Denver. Never would have thought to add pickled onions and red peppers to brisket, but it all worked beautifully. At $20 it's a pricey sandwich, but well worth it. Comes with a side of chips. Honestly, I may detour through on my way to BTV just to eat here again. It was that good!

we're a cute little spot. It's very unassuming and it's located around the corner in the back of some buildings with three parking. They serve breakfast and lunch with a menu on a blackboard on the side when you walk in. You go to the front and order what you want. You see yourself. They have a large variety of breakfast items and lunch items. The pancakes were delicious. The French toast was pretty good! The breakfast special was also good! didn't eat lunch. it was a nice day and they also have outdoor seating. Great service. The restroom was a dirty, but it was kind of old,

Tucked away and worth discovering! Cafe with delicious breakfast and lunch options. The chalkboard has the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating.

    Eggs Benedict

Currently the only brunch spot in Montpelier, very solid with a consistently delicious eggs benedict. Friendly service, good variety, and everything can be customized. The Masala chai is authentic and delicious. Live music on a recent Saturday was a pleasant surprise.

WOW. Got the breakfast sandwich- read online their breakfast sandwiches were the best in the city of Montpelier and was made with homemade English muffins, and this did not disappoint! I ordered the breakfast sandwich with tempeh- easily the best tempeh I've ever eaten, and even my friend who doesn't like tempeh loved it. Also ordered with avocado, and it came sliced thinly and was fresh, just how I like it!!

    Pulled pork banh mi

Came here from out of state looking for random hole in the wall type eateries. This fit the bill exactly. It's off a random po-dunk road in a random small po-dunk town. It's a bit overwhelming at first as you're supposed to read the big chalk board menu on the wall and then go to the counter to order your food and then take a table. My partner got an English muffin breakfast sandwich and I got the bánh mì pulled pork sandwich. I've had these from non Vietnamese eateries before and they've been terrible, this one was quite exceptional and delicious. An authentic banh mi usually does not have pulled pork but this was a very nice and respectful tangy fresh twist to a favorite sandwich. My partner mentioned their item was also quite excellent and had notable freshness. Please note food is made to order and they get quite busy so it helps to be patient.Go around or before noon for easy seating!

I stopped in for the breakfast special and everything hit the mark -- food was fresh and flavorful, service was attentive without being overbearing, and the view made the whole experience even better. Great spot to start the day, I'll definitely be back.

Difficult to find you must turn onto Putnam which looks like a driveway. Super clean, large menu, great seating area both inside and outside next to bike path and RR tracks.

Tucked down an alley. Had a ban mi, chai and cream of broccoli soup. Large portions. The baguette was amazing. Friendly place. Would return if I lived closer.

Eggs badly overcooked. Bacon was oversalted. Toast was grilled not toasted. I didn't finish my meal. No table service.

More akin to a breakfast panini, the gooey fluffy egg and cheese, crunchy bacon, and bright onions were perfectly supported by two slices of crunchy, crusty toasted sourdough. Such great flavor! The iced maple latte was a bit on the sweet side but still very much enjoyed it. TBD on the scone, but judging by how busy it was, it is gonna be great! Service: Friendly group passionate about what they do! Ambiance: Small town, comfortable bakery where I assume all the netizens gather.

It's always been busy when I've gone, but wait times aren't very long and the staff is pleasant. Needless to say, I got home and inhaled my turkey on a baguette. The only thing I think is a little bit of a bummer is the lack of more "traditional" topping options. I like my sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The cafe does not offer tomatoes and only has pickled onions. Would be nice to have a little more choice when building your own sandwich. That said, I'm still a big fan and would get food from there again in a heartbeat.
