We ordered two chicken sandwiches. The chicken inside was really good but the fried onions in mine were rubbery and not crispy. We later ordered a frozen lemonade that took forever to get. Second time I've come to this location this month - boy teen boys love this place. Got takeout after mountain biking - ready to eat a house! All 3 of our chicken sandwiches were scraggly pieces. I understand that they all cant be big ol' juicy pieces like at Mule Bar, but all 3 seem like they were the discard bits. Bummer for sure. read more

I drove here from my hotel room thinking that they had coffee. On their website they advertise all these amazing coffees and I wanted the maple latte. So I drove wasted gas because the website said that this particular location had it. I should've known when I walked in. He was completely dead, and nobody greeted me after standing there for five minutes. You couldn't convince me that somebody worked there. So I walked over to Starbucks. And got my coffee there. When Bliss Bee first opened a while back, it was good - very, very, very good! I recommended it to everyone and ate there frequently. How time changes everything.... It pains me to write this review, but after many major fails, I have to speak up, because, there is something rotten in the state of Vermont. This local franchise has rested on it laurels for years, and very often deserved; but over the past two years it has gone downhill, so far in fact, it's basically a rest area pit toilet. My most recent order is in the photos, but the general experience is the same between the South Burlington and Williston locations: hope, disappointment, and disgust. The South Burlington locations specializes in extremely overcooked chicken sandwiches and sad, soggy fries. I gave up on that location months ago. Earlier tonight, I gave the Williston location another chance; well, we all make mistakes. To say it was disgusting and inedible is an understatement, but the presentation was just plain creepy - (see photos) - it looked like someone tore off/ate a piece of the over-sized nugget they sold as a "chicken breast" sandwich. All of my "just doesn't look right" sensors went off. This was very, very unsettling. I put it in the trash where it belongs. I'm very upset that I spent my money and literally had to throw it away. The burger would have been salvageable (if i wasn't already creeped out by the "chicken sandwich" with a chunk missing). Besides, they put a cup of mayo on it. They put so much mayo on it, it not only liquefied the bun, but had begun liquefying the cardboard box it was in! This place is typical Burlington, Vermont mentality. Completely self-absorbed, self-important, and self-righteous - they think their stuff does not stink - and have no ability to process constructive criticism. Honestly, don't wasn't your time and money here. Go to Al's French Fries (Williston Road, South Burlington) if you want truly good, local, and sanitary food. Go to McDonald's if you can't get to Al's. Either way, you will get better food than at this self-righteous, stoned-out/"vibed-out," incompetent clown show. read more

MAGGOTS IN KETCHUP!! I went back to my car to get ready and enjoy my meal and I already dipped 2 or 3 fries in this infested ketchup!! I went inside to check the dispenser and sure enough theres also maggots in the fountain head of the dispenser. Service is horrible at this williston location specifically. read more

I was thirsty and wanted to give this place a try after a friend recommended it. I got the strawberry kiss smoothie. It cost $9.99 and was meh at best. Barely tasted like strawberry and not at all like pineapple. If I were in the area again, I'd stick with a bottle of water and maybe try some of their food and hope it tastes better. read more

The food was OK but the dining room was really dirty. We went at 4:30 on a Thursday and it was really slow so the employees could be cleaning. I also have a problem leaving a tip when I have to order my own food at a kiosk and then have to bus my own table. What is the tip for if there is absolutely no service? read more

What a major disappointment. As I was eating my bowl I realized that the hummus was spoiled! It had that fizzy/vinegar taste. My daughter had a bowl with broccoli and as she was eating she found a small bug in the broccoli. At least the manager was nice enough to immediately offer a refund. It almost seemed like this was a regular occurrence. They need to train the staff in proper food handling. I'll give them 2 stars because the bowl was good before I got to the hummus. read more

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a very long time and today I had the perfect opportunity . Everything is real and fresh just as they promote the business. It is a kiosk ordering which it would have been more customer friendly if there was a human taking the orders or at least available at the kiosk stations . Kitchen staff were pleasant , took their time and presented a delicious, nutritious, and an affordable meal . Probably deserves 4.5 stars. Latest trip here you pretty much need to order via kiosk, which is fine with me. They have two stations setup, so it moved at decent pace. I ordered the Mexicali salad (which I've had before) and it was good. Nice size, nice amount of salad veggies and chicken. Wife had another salad and she was satisfied with hers as well. You order at the kiosk, and if you're dining there, take a table number and someone will bring the food to you. We ate outside on the patio because it was nice weather. You buss your own table and throw away your own garbage. Overall a good experience and will continue to go there when I'm in the area and looking for a quick and good lunch. read more

I've always been a huge fan of lunch/dinner at Bliss (shout out to you, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Power Bowl) but now they have BREAKFAST? Game changer. The highlight of the new breakfast menu is undoubtedly the Morning Rancher Sandwich. Every bite has my taste buds singing. Their ranch is Ah-mazing! For days that you're wanting a healthier option, the breakfast grain bowls are an amazing change of pace. I'm done waiting in long lines at August First or The Friendly Toast. Bliss Bee is faster, cheaper, and better. This is a go to GF restaurant too! They're always super conscientious of allergies. 10,000/10 recommend. Consistency definitely an issue at this place. I've been around the menu . Fries have changed at least three times in the past three years. The previous were awesome but they have a new kind of fry that is far less exciting. Chicken sandwiches are usually good, but occasionally can be tough . They also sometimes put way too much sauce on them. Burgers are not exciting but occasionally you get a great one. Salads, OK and dressings are fine but nothing exciting. We're vegan, so it's not always easy to find a place to eat. Bliss Bee had one item on the menu, the power bowl, that was vegan so we decided to give it a try. The cashier who took our order decided to immediately look at her phone as soon as she told us the total of the sale, no "thank you" no "have a nice day". So that was discouraging. The food came out quickly to our outdoor table which was nice, but we soon discovered why. Much of the food on the plate was dry and likely several days old. The tofu tasted as it were freeze dried. The rice was so dry it was hard to chew and swallow. The online menu stated that the bowl came with parsnips, nope. It was overall bland, tasteless and dry with very little dressing. 2 power bowls, 1 kombucha and a 15% tip to a snotty cashier totaling $40. Don't waste your money. read more

Lots of healthy drinks and even all the fountain soda drinks are unique, mostly cane sugar based flavors. I am in agreement the burgers are small, but flavorful. (Which is great for me, I don't try to put myself in a good coma on my lunch break!) Plenty of relaxed seating, definitely will return :) read more

This location could be great. But it lacks consistency. I order dairy free and cheese comes on my food. I order a gluten free bun and get a regular bun. Then they get testy with me when I ask to fix the issue. (I'm allergic) It's happened here 4 times in a row. Oddly, the other location never messes up. Our maiden voyage included their chicken sandwich and the Pueblo, a veggie burger. Everything was so tasty! I'm a huge fan of veggie burgers so I'm super pleased to have another option. There were two types of veggie burgers on the menu I noticed. The fries were super salty but I won't complain since salt is a food group for me. The pricing is very affordable and I really felt good about dining at an establishment that prides itself in being bio-based with their 100% compostable food packaging. Casual, yet nice atmosphere. You see, the Farmhouse restaurant in downtown Burlington is known for its legendary Laplatte Farm beef burgers. Out of town family always want to visit the Farmhouse. The Farmhouse also has incredible salads, featuring local, seasonal produce. Last night my wife and I tried out Bliss Bee. From the news pieces, we were hoping it would be a way to access a Farmhouse quality burger without having to fight for downtown parking or dodge a downtown shootout. We were underwhelmed. The patty was small, ordinary, and undercooked. The bun was brioche-like but untoasted. The cashier asked if we wanted Cabot cheese, and we opted for it. It turns out that it wasn't the legendary white cheddar for which the cooperative creamery is renowned. Nope, it was YELLOW American cheese. The burger came with a 'Mac like Thousand Island dressing. We also saw a beet salad on the menu. Knowing what an amazing beet salad is served at the Farmhouse, we ordered that. The salad had great curb appeal: it was sprinkled with feta and some seeds. Unfortunately, there was zero dressing. With its location, booths, and casual vibe, one would think it would be a kid friendly place, but they didn't have a kids menu. They didn't have standard "cranky preschooler" fare. No chicken strips / nuggets. No grilled cheese. They do have fries, but they're not Farmhouse fries. The decor was nice, the vibe was hipster. Honestly, if I wanted this sort of food, I'd rather hit Archie's Grill on Shelburne road. We found Bliss Bee bland and expensive. read more

Our family got the "merican, a double cheesburger and 2 hot dogs. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The burger was 4 oz hence why i got a double but honestly it would be a good size after eating so much on our food tour of montreal. Want to eat meat but not regret it? This is the place. My only regret was not trying the "bowls." This restaurant is a farm to table, fast yet casual restaurant with outdoor seating. Their food is 100% organic, the cheese and beef are grass feed and offered some vegetarian fare. The local sodas are made with cane sugar. I had the root beer. The pricing was affortable and I felt good eating at an establishment that was committed to local produce. One downside is that the menu is does not have a choices for kids. Hopefully in the future, they would have grilled cheese or grilled chicken. Most trash are 100% compostable including the bio-based spoons and cups back into their farm they co-op with. The rest of your trash will be recyclable. My compliments also to the great staff that were helpful to explain the menu and to the quick service taking it out to our table read more

I really want to like this place. It is a great concept, but after 3 visits, I can say that the food has been lackluster in consistent ways. Each time I ordered the same burger, and each time I was disappointed. The burgers taste like they are not seasoned properly, or at all, and the meat has a funky flavor. Being a Vermonter, I am used to eating organic grass fed beef, so I know that it is not that. Also, for what you pay for, the patty is fairly thin. The tomatoes on the burger also never taste fresh. It is baffling that the carrots where completely devoid of flavor. For an establishment that attempts to focus on local, quality ingredients, they are not shining in the produce department. The ranch sauce also tasted quite bland and under seasoned. With so many local places to get high quality burgers and locally sourced food, I would choose to go elsewhere. read more
