Mac n cheese, flower child black bean burger, greek salad, brussel sprouts side
    Heather R.

We got the mac n cheese, flower child black bean burger, brussel sprouts side and a the greek salad to share for two. Great amount of food, we have leftovers! Wide selection of draft and canned beers/ciders. Great atmosphere with dim lighting, perfect for a date night! Very packed parking lot, highly suggest making a reservation online or you will be waiting a while for a table. Service was quick and friendly. Will be coming back!

In the center of Stowe with plenty around if you're in town looking for a meal. I came here in the evening, midweek, during the offseason, and there was no wait. The hostess was friendly and quick to seat. The waitress was helpful in making selections and food came out really quick! I was in and out of the place within an hour but 30 minutes of that was relaxing after the meal enjoying a beer. On the food front the soup of the day hit the spot after a wet and rainy hike followed by some wings. The beer was good, I went with the Cloudsplitter IPA. Overall, if you find yourself in Stowe looking for a quick service and great dishes, checkout this spot!

We came here for lunch and were seated outside, which was perfect. It was a beautiful day and we had a nice view of the garden while we ate. The host and our server were both friendly and welcoming. We started with the Vermont Cheddar Fritter because why not when you're in Vermont. It was cheesy with a good kick and a great way to begin the meal. I ordered the steak frites and the steak was cooked perfectly. The maple onion jam added a nice touch and the fries were crispy and delicious. My partner had the Mountain Road Grain Bowl with added chicken. It was fresh, flavorful, and something I'd love to try making at home. Overall we had a great dining experience and would definitely come back.

The flight of draft was generous side pours and represented a diverse range of their options. Staff was very friendly and detail-oriented. The decor is beautiful throughout the several sections. One section was cozy, dark on feel. Another was a large fireplace and vintage style bar and the rest was an open, airy, greenhouse reminiscent dining room. The feed menu is well above average for your typical brewery and had both light and comfort food options. In addition to beer there was a cocktail menu. Definitely worth a visit for both the beer and the food!

Dropped by for a quick lunch. We had Octoberfest and Dunkel, both great beers! Welcoming ambiance, tasty food, and excellent service by Jason.

A large brewery with local beer, flights, burgers, sandwiches and salads. They also have chicken, steak and seafood. It was packed with an hour plus wait so we opted to sit and eat at the bar. Inside and outside seating. Good food and beer!

I ordered takeout from Idletyme and can confirm the food is tasty. Even though our order was takeout and came in to-go boxes, the presentation was beautiful. I combined the asparagus with the mashed potatoes and loved how yummy and soft the potatoes blended with the tender asparagus. The mac and cheese was divineeee. Sadly, the french onion soup was too salty and I could not finish it :(

We came here not expecting a lot (just randomly found this place on the way to Stowe) and I was blown away by the roasted half chicken. It was possibly one of the best chickens I've had. The meat was so perfectly juicy and flavorful! At $29 it's a bit steep but I was definitely not disappointed.

This place is lovely! The food, the ambiance, and the drinks were great! The french onion soup was amazing and definitely a great starter. Would highly recommend

Great seating & spacious outdoor area

This was hands-down the best bar we visited in Stowe! The outdoor atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, with some of the best seating and bar areas we've ever seen. The fire pits made it cozy and inviting, and the layout made it easy to relax and enjoy the views. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and quick. At the bar outside, we felt taken care of every time. We didn't eat here, but the drinks, fire pits, and overall vibe were so good that we came back twice during our trip. A must-visit spot in Stowe!

Ample seating but they do take reservations. Friendly hosts. Not the fastest but a good pub with pretty basic standard food. The portions are huge. Love the fireplaces and stone designs of the restaurant.

After visiting, I've decided I want to live here. The vibes are immaculate. So lovely and chill that some guy sitting by the fire actually fell asleep. We sat at the bar and had three very attentive and friendly bartenders looking after us. I had possibly the best Mac n cheese in my life here!! I added bacon and didn't need to because it was already perfect, but bacon can never hurt. I couldn't shut up about how good the Mac n cheese was & I'll be thinking about it for YEARS to come! The aperol spritz was also perfect. Seriously, don't miss this stop!

It was intriguing to peek behind the curtain and they even offer paid tours. All of the workers we encountered were pleasant and enthusiastic about the products. We loved the chill vibe of the location, as they had an open outdoors area with seating and lawn games, including disc golf and corn hole. There was also an outdoor patio with a couch and stage for live performances. It was a place I could see myself kicking back at on the regular if I were local to the area. The location was not serving food when we visited though a food truck was located on site and said it would be opening in May. They did have complementary bags of pretzels available for guests to take. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the fun merch for sale. We purchased a hat. My husband enjoyed his beer and regrets not purchasing a four pack to take home.

Workers were very friendly and welcoming inside. The inside had some bar seating and some table seating with someone playing piano. The menu has a variety of different sandwiches. It wasn't my favorite. The falafel was crisp but I didn't love the homemade gluten free pita. It was not fluffy and was just kinda bland. The fries were made well! Thick and very crispy. So while on a trip and looking for a spot to grab some lunch naturally we ended up picking this spot. I've been aware of Lost Nation Brewing but it's been since 2016/2017 when I had a beer from them last. To start they have ample parking and have a nicely painted mural on the side of their building. They have an indoor section we did not check that out and instead sat at the bar in the outdoor section. How can you pass up looking into the kitchen and also the wafting scents of burgers, fries and everything else being cooked. Despite a chillier day than most we have had lately it was worth it! Besides their own brews they had guest taps, guest botttles/cans, and even some cocktails including some spiked apple cider for that fall feeling drink. For beer fans they even had a rotating Hillfarmstead DIPA for a guest tap. I ended up getting their Kolsch and my wife got their gose. Both very solid beers and worth grabbing. Food wise they had a couple burgers, fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, turkey sandwich, hot dogs, and some small plates. My wife ended up choosing the burger and I got their fried chicken sandwich. She enjoyed the burger and thought it was cooked very well. The chicken sandwich was delicious, the fact it was smothered in honey did make it a bit messy to eat but tasted so good! The fries we got were massive and well seasoned and the side of pickles were great too. Would be a no brainer to get either one again if we visit again! Bartender was friendly and we didn't wait long at all for the drinks or food! Well made brews paired along side delicious food, really what more could you ask for? If you visit during warmer weather it appeared they have a huge outdoor area further back than we were in as well! If you like visiting breweries add this to your list to check out!

This brewery was known to be superior 8 or so years ago. Us hop heads in CT dreamed about it but never tasted. We were curious, their location was intriguing. It also made us skeptical. So the snow is falling, it's approaching 4pm, the drive brings you up a hill on the dirt road. Add beer to the uncertainty of the moment, it was perfect for anxiety, excitement and first tastes. Draft one was a nitro stout. Yeah, like Guinness but... UNBELIEVABLE. Just that good. Then an IPA close to their origin. Simple. Again, UNBELIEVABLE. Easy sell, I bought each 4 pack available. Asked for a restaurant in Montpelier. The Three Penny Taproom was... UNBELIEVABLE. (Chickpeas, Chicken Nuggs and Hill Farmstead all over the place.) Of course the brewery guys recommended it, and the gas station at Willey's in Greensboro. So we survived the "brief flurry", and a Taproom extraordinaire. The beer is ready for a Connecticut Christmas and will be compared to the beer from Burlington, Stowe and Deerfield. All great brews. The anticipation of enjoying Hill Farmstead beer was just as exciting as the trip and first taste. So, If you need a trip, find them. No complaining about the distance and remoteness, please. It's where they are. Yeah, you can find the beer in other places in state. I look forward to getting it at those spots. I look forward to seeing the brewery in the summer!
