After placing our orders, our server returned with our drinks along with a basket of warm rolls and soft butter, a nice touch to start the meal. To start, I ordered the short rib and fontina arancini, which were outstanding. The portion was generous--honestly large enough to be a meal on its own. My wife began with the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced without being overly dressed. For our main course, my wife and I both chose the crab-stuffed sole. It was excellent and, once again, the portion size was impressive. We even had enough leftovers to make another meal the next day. By the end of the meal we were so full that we decided to take our desserts--New York-style cheesecake and tiramisu--home to enjoy later. The mashed potatoes looked like they had been on the plate long enough to form a skin. They were very pasty. Vegetables were canned and not rinsed of the canning liquid. So they were slimy with a garbage like smell. We were given a bread plate but no bread or roll or butter. They stock a lot of beers which seem a little higher priced than other area places. The bath room was okay if you don't touch the rusty waste basket. It had more of the pub decor-wooden ad signs screwed to the wall. There was a toilet, sink and very thin toilet paper.
