I stopped in after working a wedding on Cape Cod and was disappointed by my experience. While I was watching a soccer match, the channel was changed to accommodate a regular customer. I also had to use the on-site ATM because the bar was cash-only, which added an extra fee. The atmosphere seemed geared toward locals, and as a visitor I did not feel particularly welcome. After having three drinks and causing no problems, I was told I needed to leave. I wasn't arguing with anyone, bothering other customers, or causing a disturbance, so the decision came as a surprise. I fully respect a bartender's right to refuse service, but the interaction felt abrupt and dismissive. I left without arguing, but the overall experience left a bad impression. There are many great places on Cape Cod. Based on my experience, I would choose somewhere else next time. read more

I know there's lots of people like their little homeless style die bars. But this place talking about started off as this bar until the lake early 2000 a different came in and things have changed. This place is on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and a lot of dive bars I guess in this area is more like a popular spot along with a few others, which I could because they all the same pay most common folks won't go to. We need a slightly little bit more class. My friends came in on vacation. They wanted some dive bars. I brought them here. We had some drinks and then we went out of money and since it's 2023 you would think they would have your phone by the app but it doesn't. So my friend had to go get some money out of the ATM because they don't accept credit cards and the fee was about five dollars Yes I know that's not a lot and that's not the point you bar especially a shitty dive bar. Great 'dive' bar on Cape. It's a roadside bar w pool tables, dart board, jukebox, keno, scratch tickets, smokes, a touch screen game and a relaxed atmosphere. Only way you will stick out in this place if you're a complete douche bag. It can get the biker crowd in the nicer months, but it's also a great locals spot and if you're staying at a near-by hotel and want a cheap drink and to relax. They also do pool leagues and such there. They have a great little smoking area and beer patio out back. Bathrooms aren't the nicest, but it's all part of the bars charm. They have a great draft beer selection like Murphy's Irish Stout. Many bottle selections like ciders such J.K.'s Scrumpy Farmhouse Organic Hard Cider and micro brews. They have great house shots/shooters for $2 a pop. Most beers are $2/3, such as Not Your Father's Root Beer for $3, can't beat it. A favorite for sure. read more

Absolute best dive bar on the Cape. If you come to play pool, bring your cue and be prepared for a challenge. This is where the leagues play and practice. Friendly patrons and staff. No food, but lots of area places will deliver to the bar. The walls are floor to ceiling memorabilia. Can't recommend it highly enough. They open wicked early, open 365 days a year. read more

I really like the quarterdeck and will return next time I storm the cape. Food was reserved for pool league only, but the popcorn was just fine for me. Great place to avoid the polar vortex and I really appreciated the taxidermy and location near the Double Tree. Don't take your mother, or anyone you would like to meet her, but I like this windowless little museum. read more

This is a very affordable restaurant. However the menu was really unimpressive.. I couldn't find anything that stood out to me. The bar was also very small, I thought it was not ideal to go by yourself. The staff was great and welcoming though, not a bad thing to say about them. read more

If you're on Cape Cod, this is the place you want to go spend your night drinking, playing pinball, loading up the Jukebox and playing pool. Many locals (and Pixie fans alike) know this lounge/bar belongs to Frank Black's brother. Here you'll find beer, a loaded two-sided bar (meaning you can get drinks from both sides all-right), Keno and some pretty laid back kids. I dug that this place was both completely chill, unassuming and the fact that if it was in Boston this place would have been crawling with college kids--however it was relatively uncrowded but still great for people watching, there was tons to do and look at (the walls are covered with vintage pornography, advertisements and other things of intrigue) There is an area to smoke, the UFO is a (by Boston Standards) cheap $4. The clientel ranges from the occasional townie, jock or a punk rocker, or indie-esque kid which was really refreshing. The jukebox is one of those modern new day things where you can use credits to purchase songs. Lots of good stuff. The Clash, Ramones, Social Distortion, Journey, Weezer, Pixies (though you can't play Where is My Mind or Monkey Gone to Heaven apparently without getting automatically skipped over) and much more. The bar tender was fast, friendly and chill, the way you want a bartender to be. Be careful with an out-of-state license unless you're with a bar regular, though, I heard the bar tender questioning one of the patrons about that--seems like the type of bar where the young Cape set would want to sneak into. Also, I heard a rumor there is $1.50 PBR and you can't beat the laptop bolted to the bar--you wouldn't find something like that in the city. Fun atmosphere. PBR's at $1.50 a pint. 2 computers with internet -- free to use. Only criticism is that there's usually no music on when the jukebox isn't playing, and the jukebox is ridiculously expensive - $1 for a single play (or cheaper per play for multiple plays).
