Staff is incredibly friendly! Was happy to share the story of the brewery with us. They sold out of a lot of their popular beers which must be a good sign they are delicious! Food truck in the parking lot is a nice addition to their menu.

Barnstable Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Hyannis, Massachusetts in September 2017. It was founded by husband and wife Peter and Ann Connor as well as their son Mike, who serves as the brew master. Opening a brewery was a dream for Peter for several years. He received the green light from the town zoning board to begin work building a brewery, but a permitting dispute with a neighboring business stalled the project for a few years. In that time, son Mark studied biology and brewing and received Master Brewer certification from Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany. The delay in opening the brewery allowed the family to acquire harder-to-find hops and expand their repertoire of beers. Today they offer a variety of draft styles that range from European classics to newer American staples. My wife and I visited Barnstable Brewing for the first time in July 2019. I had spent most of the day cycling on the Cape Cod Rail Trail and had built up quite a thirst. The brewery had a nice taproom where customers could enjoy a variety of games. My wife and I played a few games of 'Giant Connect Four'. I ordered a sampler fight which included a blueberry ale, a pale ale, a New England IPA and a milk stout. My favorite was the New England IPA (called "Examen #23"). I purchased a four-pack of cans to go. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Barnstable Brewing and we would stop by again and if we're ever in the area.

We visited on a late weekday afternoon and had a great experience. There was plenty of parking, and it was not very crowded at that time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers. I got a flight. All were tasty and crafted well. Lots of outdoor seating and good vibe overall. Highly recommend.

One of the better breweries in the Cape. Crowded during the Summer but the line moved fast. Kid and dog friendly with a variety of beers on tap in a variety of styles. Habe6games available and flights for purchase.

The first time I have ever been disappointed trying a brewery. First, they did not have most of the beers on the menu. Second, tiny sampling glass way overpriced. Third, there seemed more of an emphasis on buying merchandise rather than beer. Odd! Strange.

Warm welcoming brewery with yummy beers, fun games & clean restrooms. Owners were friendly & accommodating as we arrived an hour before closing & they still showed us tremendous hospitality. Warm twinkle lights surround the bar area with the sweet sounds of Chris Stapleton filling the air.

Mango milkshake is not approve and wrong fill

Wow, they give me wrong beers because they are stout. I did order Mango Milkshakes. It's not taste like ipa because it's very strong chocolate as stouts

I wanted to like the beer at Barnstable Brewing, but I really didn't. Maybe the limited # of beers to try was not enough to find one I would like. The building has an attractive outside appearance, and the interior is wide open with several pub height tables and stools. The bar is also of decent size with comfortable stools. We arrived around 4pm, had a friendly greet and went to order. The menu had just 4 beers, but one was now out so we ordered the 3 available. Fyi, I'm really not an IPA fan, instead I seek and like more malty ales, Sessions, stouts, etc. So we had the 3 on tap, the K-Dub (weissbeir), Amerihop (American pale ale), and Examen #18 (Ipa). Unfortunately I did not like the banana flavor in the K-Dub, just not a beer to me. Then the Amerihop ale was more hoppy than smooth, called an Ale yet tastes bitter. But the Examen Ipa tasted the best, like a good Ipa should, with citrus notes. Sorry, this beer drinker needs more variety and more malty beer. Also, the pricing strategy is off...charging different prices ($3, $4, $5) for each beer sampler (and pints). Never seen that before.

A few years ago, someone offered to buy my parking space for $500. (I declined.) There's often live music. (Check local publications or their website for up-to-date schedules.) There are often a number of food trucks present. On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. It's family friendly -- including canine members. Our pup is a seasoned New Yorker and accustomed to crowds, but even she seemed a little frazzled by the press of people at times.

We got there fairly early but the first band had already started, and the area under the tent was already full. We got some drinks, checked out the space and eventually we were able to snag some chairs under the tent. The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. There was a dance area in front of the stage and people definitely used it - so there was great people watching in a super fun setting!

My devoted "mug club" friends that used to meet weekly at Cape Cod Beer introduced me to this fantastic new spot in their rotation. Wow, am I impressed! I met the brewmaster / owner, Brian, friendly and he sure knows his stuff. The quality he is producing in this tiny location is exceptional. I started with the Norm Ale, like normal ...get it? I love the play on names they come up with like Buttah Beer. The Norm Ale is pale but not lacking color, it's so caramel creamy, biscuit smooth. Just delicious, no bitter bite to this beauty. And I really appreciate the lack of fizziness too, that's so unlike American beer. I followed that with the Riley Red. Think Killarney Irish red ale and that's what this delivers. An excellent example of a red with colored hues, it's tasting brighter, light malty, and rich. And because it's October I rounded off by tasting the Oaktober Fest. (Oak Bay October fest) my buddy Wayne loves this one, especially in his fancy German stein they so nicely agreed to fill for him. This seasonal ale is tasty modestly spiced medium malt season, not too hoppy, it's beautiful. The Brit/ Irish style that Brian is producing, less carbonated & fizzy, which I really liked about the ales. You don't go home with a bloated stomach. Lucky for us it is Oktoberfest and they were cooking up beer-soaked bratwurst with sauerkraut and German pretzel hot baked out of the toaster oven $11. A perfect accompaniment to the ales. I genuinely feel these are the best beers being made on Cape Cod, and beyond. Get over to Oak Bay Brewery and try for yourself what I'm convinced of! Cheers Note: Parking is best in the back of the building and come on to main street from alley beside Tumi restaurant.

But I'm writing this to help support the kind of business we need here on Cape Cod. And to provide a little kind and constructive feedback. It's a beautiful open wooden A-frame kind of feel with a cool loft and outside "porch" kind of space that would work in any season. The pizza was solid. The beer was excellent if a little pricy. The review of the meatball sub from friends was "it's good." Cheese board was enormous and could feed a whole soccer team and the Pretzel is generic, store bought and not recommended. The service was a little weird -- instead of getting a waiter, you just have to kinda fend for yourself -- initially it seemed like just an online menu but they do have printed menus. Seems like a missed opportunity to have a server actually wait the tables, make recommendations and earn a tip. Instead it's a hodgepodge of food runners and no real direction what to order. And the strangest part was I had a conversation with one of these folks and she was so terrific and kind I wished she'd waited on us! Anyways, in conclusion ambiance =5. Food and drink = 4. Service =3 (not the fault of the servers -- just a whacky service plan.) overall 4. Thank you!

We always had a pleasant experience and respected the rules of the brewery to stay outside with our dog. Yesterday, we came by around 3 p.m. and it was relatively quiet with lots of empty seating outside. When we went to sit at a table, a waitress told us they had a designated dog area to the side at two broken tables in the sun and that we could not sit at any of the shaded tables. She also told us we could not order food with our dog there. We asked if we could move an umbrella over so we wouldn't have to sit in the sun--the waitress said she would ask and then never came back. When we realized no one was going to help, we asked a second time and were told there was no way to give us shade, so we left. It was disappointing as we liked coming here but it felt like they were deliberately trying to make dog owners uncomfortable and unwelcome. I'd recommend going elsewhere if you are looking for a relaxing afternoon at a brewery.
