I guess this bar didn't have to conform to Covid rules a few years ago when motels and restaurants got rid of carpets and put down easy-to-clean flooring! My shoe was literally PULLED OFF by the stickiness of the disgusting carpet on the floor! Every step you take sticks to the floor!! Then I made the mistake of looking down at it.... omg YUCK!! While we were sitting at the bar, all you could smell was the cigarette smoke billowing in from the constantly open door by the pool table! I thought there were rules about that! Some people may like it because it's cheap, but there are other places just as cheap & divey where you get better drinks, service & at least the floors aren't crawling with who-knows-what! read more

This place stays open till 1 wooo! Main Street closes early so this a great spot for last call. It gets packed but the drinks are cheap (a $6 vodka soda is unheard of). Downside, the girls bathroom only has 1 stall. There was probably a 30 min wait all night. So wahh. read more

I'm not going to give a standard review. This place is what it is: a drinking-persons' establishment. The service was cordial, the beer cold. All good. However, I was bothered by one thing. For a period in the 60s, this was the hang of beat novelist Jack Kerouac. Given that Kerouac, whether he'd intended to or not, changed society and paved the way for the 60s and beyond, it would be nice if the 19th hole to, say, have a portrait of Jack on display with some words about his time in Hyannis. Sports nostalgia all over the walls! Also celebs hangout...i.e. Ted Kennedy and his clan. Asked the bartender what his preferred drink was, he said anything everyone else was drinking, mostly Coors light and Captain! HAHAHA! Too funny! A ton of pictures, total dive fun bar! Decent hole in the wall bar. My brother and I stopped in after a long day of moving for some much needed drinks. We were staying down the street and my local buddy mentioned that this would be a good spot for some beers and shots of whiskey. The bartender was a nice older guy and was quick with the drinks. He didn't say much but he served us well. Only problem was some asshole who was hammered and spilled his full beer all over the bar. Didn't even turn to say "Hey sorry I'm a huge douchebag and I almost ruined your phone." He seemed like a regular because nobody even batted an eye when the beer went everywhere and the bartender had him a fresh one before he cleaned up the pool of brew in front of us. read more

Run!! Far away from this place! I have never in 33 years been so rudely disrespected by the female bartender. She's old and washed up, so she thinks it's ok to take out her anger on others. She blatantly told us "we weren't from around here," like it was as inconvenience to serve us. Not a good way to practice business. me (25) and my friend (turning 25 in two weeks) were denied from this bar because they thought our IDs were fake. there was almost no one in the bar and he used some fake app to tell us we couldn't be served and having IDs from the same state was too suspicious. this place sucks. read more

Patrons are super friendly. Male bartender is always great. However, Female bartender lost her absolute shit when one of my coworkers took his drink outside to smoke (we didn't know - just here for work. Laws vary). A simple "don't do that" would have sufficed, since we were all friendly and apologetic about the situation. But this woman just kept going on and on until at one point she was cursing at us from across the room. We left without causing a scene... When she escalated the situation by going behind the building (where our vehicles were parked) and harassing us there. Again, we left with out causing a scene and she finds us in the parking lot to keep screaming obscenities at us. Sorry your hockey team lost that night lady, but no reason to take it out on us. The real kicker here is she found one of my coworkers on Facebook a couple weeks later so that she could keep harassing us. Absolutely nuts. Zero professionalism. To the owner - there's a couple dozen of us here for work that had been frequenting your establishment almost nightly. But no more. She lost you thousands of dollars over the next couple months from us. Ouch read more

Went here for the first time last weekend and loved it. Just your local average Irish dive bar w a few pool tables and dart boards, digital jukebox, keno and small pub food menu. Cash only (they have a atm). Bartender was friendly and social, customers in there were friendly and chill. Not sure why others have said you have to be 'local', as there were many in there not from the area. Quit being a sissy. If you walk in and look like a dirt bag or douche bag then yeah, but it's a low key relaxed bar. $3 Narragansett's, can go wrong there read more

My best man and I were looking for a place to whet our whistles for a spell the night before invading Nantucket to buy red pants for the wedding! $3 Narragansett pounder cans, not bad. They feature Captain Parker's chowder which was DEEE-LISH-USS! Best Man Egon enjoyed his burger, cooked up by the owner himself who is a nice fellow. I pumped the jukebox full of Madonna, Guns N' Roses, and the Euryhthmics after we played pool with some weirdo and his "old lady" as he described her. Ridiculous experience. Tried to stop by on a slow night to unwind with a glass of wine and read a book, was immediately denied service for not having valid identification when I presented my MA state liquor ID. This is a current, up to date, government issued photo idea issued by the same people who issue your drivers license. He asked me if I had a credit card with a photo or a passport. I don't know about you, but when I'm carrying around my state issued ID in the state it was issued, I tend to leave the passport at home. As far as a credit card with a photograph? I'm not sure they even make those, and if they do they are not commonplace here. But apparently, they "aren't allowed to accept" government issued, once again for the people in the back, LIQUOR IDs I have never had an experience like this, so I felt the need to contribute because clearly this place is run by people who have no idea what is going on and have horrible management of their business. Denying service to customers (who by the way, was served a week before at the exact same time on the exact same day without even being asked to provide identification,) is a good way to lose business. read more

Walked into this place while roaming around Hyannis, and this is a decent drink spot. It was pretty much empty when I was there on a Thursday night, which meant we were able to play a few games of darts without much of a problem. It's a typical watering hole you might find anywhere else, but with a number of decent beers on tap, it's not a bad alternative to the more family friendly restaurants nearby. The 19th hole has a different crowd every night. I have been living in Hyannis for the summer and this has been my go to Bar. Darts are free, pool is free except for the weekends. A decent pint of micro brew is $4 which is a solid price for Cape Cod. Bar staff is super nice! I am all about this place! It's a little dive bar, but the beers are ICE COLD and the handsome bartender, with the mustache and sparkling blue eyes, is a true gentleman. We didn't try the pizza, though I'd expect it would be traditional bar pie. It was a slow Saturday afternoon, but the crowd (of 7 or so) was super friendly. Went to this establishment with some coworkers the other night. Some guy found the need to continuously cat call one of our friends. We tried to defuse the situation as best as we could until some guy kept yelling at us that he would kick us out. A few seconds later the owner walks up to try & figure out what the issue was & I've never seen an owner that drunk & that arrogant. Swearing at us & treating us very poorly. Will definitely not be coming back to this bar. I can't believe how rude the owner was to my friends & I. Bouncer wouldn't let me in because he "could tell I had one too many" despite the fact I was completely sober. He wouldn't accept any sort of field test and when I asked to speak to the manager, he said he was the manager. This is the first bad review I had to give. My mother and my dad and I walked in, and a guy tells my dad , "hey aren't you the guy that cleaned my room earlier?" He even had the nerve to laugh, like it was a funny joke. My dad is the most down to earth kindest man I know. We are very accepting and non judgmental as humanly possible. That's pretty horrible, and we just walked out , the bartender or no one else seemed to care. Racism is an unfortunate issue that will always be around. I've found Cape Cod to be pretty diverse and welcoming. I feel like if certain people are unwelcome it's best to just say it, it has happened in the past with segregation. Also I don't believe they are following state guidelines as far as capacity, and there was no social distancing because it was so packed in there it's very dangerous!!! I'm sending prayers that people in there don't become infected with Covid-19 in that establishment. Again each person's experience is different and what happened to us may not happen to you. Just spreading awareness and so saddened by this. This was our first racist encounter ever in Cape Cod. What a bad way to end such a fantastic week vacation :( wishing everyone stays safe. read more

Cool concept for a bar when on the cape. They have darts, pool, and Keno can't really go wrong, right? Unfortunately that isn't the case. The darts they have are falling apart, the bartender looks like he doesn't want to be here, and the pool tables aren't cared after. If you aren't a local you really aren't welcomed here. I would search elsewhere when wanting to visit a dive bar as a tourist. The bartender was very minimal with the jack in my jack and sprite; More like a sprite and ice with a hint of jack. Perfect dive bar. I was treated like the cousin everyone hoped wouldn't show up to thanksgiving dinner. Heavy pours and decently priced booze for the location. Seems like there's a lack of management as once a crowd showed up the bartender was overwhelmed and visibly rattled but overall everything I would hope for at a dive. read more

I had SUCH a great time this weekend! Saturday night the place was packed for St. Patrick's Day, and the music - Kid Antrim - was fantastic! So much energy, and the BEST Irish songs, along with rock, alternative, even Johnny Cash. The crowd was a great mix, and there was even free food. I'll definitely be back!! read more
