Went last night to hear some live music. Place was packed, food was awesome service even better. Will be back next Saturday for music again. They have it every Saturday night. read more

I had the lobster Caesar salad. It had a mound of fresh lobster. I little pricey because it was market pricing. The service was fast. I came here last year but didn't leave a review. The place is clean. Not many customers today. They did have a large party. But basically quiet didn't have to wait which is always good. read more

A must go if you're in town!!! The Yardam offers a variety of great eats and drink options to choose from - whether it be for a night out for drinks or dinner - this spot is truly a gem. The staff are always welcoming and attentive. The space gives a rustic cape vibe, and is always clean and welcoming. Definitely recommend the lobster salad. read more

The Yardarm - Lobster salad - Seafood Near Me - Orleans, Massachusetts

I have to be honest, this place has really changed once they added on. The menu has become more bougie and only marginally appealing. We went for my birthday dinner. We were very happy to see that there was live music that night. Like the stars were aligned or something. We were seated right away as we had reservations...not sure if they were needed though. We all got something different on the menu from sandwiches (I got the turkey club) to one of the daily specials(a lobster caprese salad). 3 or our party got the clam chowdah and we're all of the same opinion that it was ok, not memorable. Our main dishes came and if course, my sister who got the lobster caprese salad loved hers, my mother got blacked shrimp and was less thrilled. My club sandwich was pretty meh but the fries were really good. Our server was a gem(if you have read any of my reviews you know I am AWFUL with names). She had a wicked sense of humor. Where they lose a star is the over all experience. The food is pretty pricey so you expect it to be really good. When the best you can say is "meh"...it's telling. I'm sure the bar is still a lot of fun but they.need to come back to master the basics before getting too adventurous. read more

Been going to the Yard Arm for decades and have appreciated their consistent food and drink, as well as their great service. Yesterday we ordered a whole belly clam plate to split and a couple drinks. We weren't looking for a full meal per se, but wanted a treat. Instead we were served a mixture of burned whole belly and strip clams. What a disappointment, and a waste of $36+. Certainly not the quality we anticipated. read more

Would not recommend the onion soup it was really not good. Service was occasional. Rest of the food was meh. Not horrible but kind of what you would expect from a bar not a restaurant. read more

Poor Management. I had a plastic bottle cap in my chowder. I complained to the waitress, and she disappeared ,then another bill not minus the chowder, no apology ?? As I walked out the Mgr. was at the door with his nose in his I phone. I have been eating at this place for 30 years...The new Mgt. sucks. On one occasion they ran out of prime rib at 6:15 on advertised prime rib night ?? Stay away !! read more

Awesome food and friendly service. Reasonably priced too! Fresh prime rib sub! Debbie is a friendly server and gave us prompt service!

Best chowder on Cape Cod! Homey feel, quick service. Never disappoints. We drive up from CT to eat here. read more

We love coming here! Our favorites are the clam chowder (and we get the garlic bread to dip into it), onion soup, cape cod ruben (fish instead) and scallops. Very casual restaurant, no need to be super dressed up. Great service. Many people who eat here are regulars. read more

Oh, where do I begin with these potato skins? They are just the epitome of culinary genius. I mean, who would have thought that crispy potatoes, cheese, bacon, and onions could create such a masterpiece? It's not like every sports bar in America has the same ingredients. But these? These are special. The skins are perfectly crispy, almost like they were fried by the gods themselves. And the cheese? Melted to perfection, as if it was carefully monitored by a cheese whisperer. The bacon? Oh, don't get me started on the bacon - so crunchy, it's like a symphony of flavor with every bite. If you haven't experienced these potato skins yet, I suggest you reevaluate your life choices. Seriously, drop everything and go get some. These potato skins will change your life - or at least make you question why you've been settling for mediocre appetizers all these years. Enjoy. Or don't. Your loss. read more

Great place! Staff is friendly, food and drinks were really solid and fairly priced. Good local place for a bite and drinks, highly recommend. Not sure why rating is so low. read more

The Yardarm is one our go-to spots for lunch and dinner. We always feel welcome since the venue is cozy without being too crowded. Service is always friendly and the selection and quality of food are consistently first-rate. On our recent visit, our server was fantastic. We were promptly seated, and given menus, including the nightly specials. Cocktails arrived promptly, along with water. Our clam chowder was awesome: creamy, chunky, and clammy - simply delicious! My wife ordered a scallop roll and I had the fried whole-clam platter special. Yum! And such huge portions! We ended up bringing home enough for another couple of meals. All simply wonderful. Go there soon! Go there often! The Yardarm is just great! read more

After many years of vacationing in the Orleans area, we finally decided to visit the yardarm. My cousin who lives in North Chatham always said "The Yardarm is one of his favorites". Now, we know why. The exterior is such that you could drive by many times and not notice. The interior, however, is warm and inviting. The waitstaff is experienced and efficient and permanent. We didn't see any "Summer help". So, this is where the local, year round residents dine. I was in the restaurant business for twenty five years so I am puzzeled by some of the less than five star reviews. What we found was excellent food, great service and reasonable prices. If we are able to return to the Cape, we will be back at the Yardarm. read more

Went with a group of 5 on a Saturday evening in May. Had the clam chowder and crab cakes. Was very glad I had half to take home for another meal. The rest of the group also had good meals and drinks. Will definitely eat here again! Excellent service w a friendly waitress! read more

This was a nice place with great service but the dining room was a bit hot and a little uncomfortable. The food was good. Certainly fresh. The chowder was ok. A bit too thick for my liking. The fish tacos were large and filling. Portions were all good size. Over all the food quality was a 7 out of 10. read more

Service is spectacular at the bar! Menu is always the same and food has really gone downhill. They have specials but even those are meh. The burgers are great but other than that, it's disappointing. read more

My 3 friends and I got there around 6:15pm for dinner. The parking lot looked pretty full so we immediately grabbed a 4 top in the bar area thinking it might be faster service. We were very wrong about that. Our drinks took forever, we didn't get silverware with our food until we asked for it and food service was very slow. Even as we waited longer and the place cleared out, service did not get any better. The servers were kind and apologetic but that didn't really help. We were there for close to three hours for dinner. The food was good but it usually is. Just the service that needed help. read more

So one year later Diane and I still come for a great meal We come on the slow times to really enjoy our cocktails and a little appetizer then we order knowing half of our meal will be taken home We both ordered the baked stuffed shrimp and every bit of our meal was served hot and delicious So once again we have another season to look forward to read more

Good food. Service could have been a bit quicker but they were short staffed so it's understandable. The clam strip roll was priced very reasonably and came with a lot of meat. Not pictured was the fried calamari appetizer which I highly recommend. read more

Had lunch at Yardarm recently, first time there since they completed renovations, they have really done a good job! They've made dining a whole lot for comfortable, the bar is completely separate from the diners by a glass partition - a great idea, plus another partition protects the diners from the constant comings and goings at the front door, where a draft would blow in and annoy you - back in the day. I enjoyed my cheese steak egg rolls dipped in teriyaki sauce, and my burger was cooked exactly as I asked = med. rare. Yay for wonderful French fries! Service was attentive read more

Dont know why people like it here. Just had a pretty fair meal, plastic glasses and all. Nachos were unlike any i ever had. Hardly any chips-wish i took a picture, you could see for your self. It was a plate of meted cheese onions that were raw, and sour cream in the take out containers beans and maybe meat, or it could have been refried beans. Ordinary everything else. This is an update as I wanted to give the place another chance. Yeah, not going back. I tried. They did not. Waitresses left us and didn't come back for 20 minutes with our beers. Food was barely mediocre. Both dishes were cold, meaning, they sat in the kitchen before it got to us. Fisherman's platter, cold. Chicken cordon Bleu, sauce congealing. Heading to Cooke's next time, MUCH better option. read more
