    Grilled chicken sandwich

Been coming here since I was a kid, it's still maintained its charm and quality! Service is attentive, and food is always good. My favorite is usually the fried seafood platters, but I went for a grilled chicken sandwich this time. Chicken was juicy and ingredients were fresh! A cape cod staple. Can get busy so if you have a large party go early!

Down Cape for a figure skating competition Was not sure where to eat, I came here a long time ago. So I decided to try it again. It felt like being a kid in the 70's and 80's old school Cape Cod menu. The fish was fresh and the steak tips tasted great and were tender. I like the old license plates and signs hanging inside Plenty of parking and service was fast

Stopped into Land Ho after the Independence Day parade. The place was packed with many of the parade participants and parade goers. It seemed as though this place was an Orleans staple for locals. The bar offered many local brews along with some great tasting Guinness. Drinks were served quickly and cold. We were seated in a modest patio which was perfect for us. We listened to fife, drums, and bag pipes while waiting for food. Cool experience The food was excellent starting with the creamiest clam chowder. We went with shrimp basket and tuna melt for lunch. All food was very tasty and served hot. Private parking and street parking available.

Had dinner here last night and it was a very good experience, had the fish and chips and it was fantastic cooked perfectly, had fish the other night at another establishment and it was too soft breading wise and fell apart like sand. This food was really good it was flavorful and the tartar tasted like it was made in house very flavorful... and yeah tartar matters some taste horrible, French fries were also really good surprisingly, but what was amazing was the seafood cakes i highly reccomend them was the perfect appetizer... only thing i wish this place had was a seafood platter but otherwise i was impressed, service was also good would def come again

    Clam chowder

Best clam chowder I've ever had at Land Ho!! Love the atmosphere in here. The crab cakes are also a must. Great spot for a mid afternoon bite.

Went to meet a friend for lunch and she picked 3 Fools. I yelped it and I saw it was takeout only. She then suggested Sunbird and I get there and they are only doing takeout, so she recommend Land Ho and it was perfect. There's a stand outside that asks you to wait for someone to come out. The waitress came out and I went inside and ordered a glass of wine as I waited for my friend. The place is quite large inside and they had a door open for better ventilation. We started off with chicken wings but you know, girls yack, yack, yack so we just talked and never ate the chicken wings. I overheard the bartender telling a patron that the cheeseburger club was great so I ended up ordering that and it was great and the presentation was nice too, unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it. I did get a photo of the chicken wings. I ended up having one but that was long after they were cold. It was still good! I brought the other 3 sections of my cheeseburger club home and half of the fries because there were a ton and my husband really enjoyed the leftover cheeseburger club. It's nice to know that some places in Orleans you can still sit inside. I know it's a risk but it's late fall here and it's way to cold to eat outside, so sitting inside of a restaurant with a door open - is the best we can do. My friend ordered a spinach salad and it looked very good. Clearly she ate healthy while I ate, hearty!

Stopped by Land Ho on my way from leaving Orleans. They were open on Memorial Day so that is a big plus on my book. Service was efficient. My and my friends who went enjoyed the food.

Always great, broiled cod dinner, under $20

Food was ridiculously priced and the waitress with the short Grey hair was unfriendly to surly.

Been coming here for many years. Classic Cape place, long bar, checkered table-cloths, comfort food, just a great lower Cape experience.

There is handicap parking, and a ramp to the eating area. It is pricey, market price pending, but very delicious! Seasonal, so the last day would be the weekend after Labor day.

There were plenty of other bikers there (as well as locals and vacationers), so I figured it must be a good spot. It's one of those classic counter style seafood spots, with plenty of outdoor seating. Even with the long line, my food was ready pretty quickly. The restaurant had an ice cream counter, but I just stuck to the seafood. I went with half fried shrimp and half fried clam strips with fries. Lots of fried food! I preferred the shrimp over the clam strips because I found them to be a bit too breaded, but that's common. I would for sure come back again. Only thing that could have been better would have been if the restaurant was on the water!

I went for their current advertised Lobster roll special at $23.99. Ordered Exactly as advertised and was charged $25.99. I asked first if it was all claw and knuckle or if they use tail meat too. Oh, definitely both , she exclaimed! I found one small mangled piece of tail at the bottom and it included a sharp piece of shell that hurt my tongue. I told them and showed her the shell. All she did was explain how they try to get it all but they just can't sometimes. I looked at her and said that they aren't doing it right. I asked if she was going to offer me a partial refund and she refused. The Lobster bisque was not a bisque and I don't think there was any lobster in the kitchen when it was made, much less in the pot!! Cole slaw was covered in spicy pepper and neither of us could eat it. Fries were meh! My husband had the fried scallop platter and they were overcooked and super greasy. Disgustingly so. I DK why people like this place but there are so many good places around here where you can get a full service meal, in a real restaurant cooked by real trained chefs and served by professionals who know how to make consumers happy. Total bill with tip was $84.07!!! For a crappy meal with no service and not a clue about customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this garbage.

What stands out: Some of the Peruvian / Colombian offerings are fantastic. Staff have a deep sense of kindness and hospitality. Even though they close at 8 p.m., they not only took the Pardner's just-under-the-wire order, but didn't rush us in the least. It wasn't until we'd finished and were on our way out that we noticed the hours -- and that we were 20 minutes past eight. The lobster ceviche was a touch spendy for the price, size, and the amount of lobster included in the dish. But it was very tasty, Peruvian in style and garnished with cancha and sweet potato, just the right amount of heat and acid. Empanadas were, I think, Colombian in style, made out of orange-tinged masa, beautifully deep fried with juicy innards -- wonderful. Tacos were made out of a soft flour tortilla and a hard corn taco shell, I guess not unlike a Taco Bell "chalupa." It was not what the Pardner was hoping for, unfortunately. There were two tacos to an order, which averaged out to be $9 or $10 a taco. Probably a bit steep for those of us who are lucky enough to be in a place where good south and Latin American food is more commonplace. This is the kind of menu I want to get to know. Not everything is to our own personal tastes, but there are some things that this place seems to do very, very well. I'd like to come back for those.

I am still thinking back to when we first ordered their fish and chips this past weekend and I can't stop thinking about how FRESH everything tasted!! From the fish, to the fries, and even the freshness of the cole slaw! The fish was perfectly cooked where the fish layers "flake off" and the batter was layered where it is neither too doughy nor falls off entirely. I am normally not a cole slaw gal, but the veggies in the cole slaw were so freshly crunchy and the sauce was not overwhelmingly creamy or savory that it was a nice adjunct to the main entree. Almost forgot that the plate also comes with 2 fried clam cakes as well that were not overly done either. The restaurant was insanely busy when we arrived 30 minutes before closing. (they closed at 8pm, so early on a weekend seeing how it's so busy at closing time!) Just note there may be a little bit of a wait with food after ordering considering how busy it gets.
