Contacted Mark back in August to request he perform some re-running of speaker wires to my home entertainment setup (moving from one wall to another). Mark returned my call the next day, which was the *only* time he responded promptly. He said he would be in my area at the end the week, but that came and went without a call or text from Mark. I sent him text messages on Sept. 1 and Sept. 7, and finally got a response on Sept. 14, with Mark apologizing for not getting back to me. He indicated he could make something happen the following week, which I agreed to. On Sept. 21, I received a text from Mark indicating he needed to reschedule, as his young child was sick at home, and he needed to be there. Fair enough. On Sept. 27, I texted Mark again, seeking another time he could come out...CRICKETS! On Oct. 10, I texted him again, indicating that I would appreciate a response if he had any intention of working on my project...CRICKETS, to this day! Bottom line: I understand that "stuff" happens that adversely affects schedules, but no amount of "stuff" should prevent common courtesy from occurring - a simple return text or call indicating the problem, and this would have saved me the time of writing this poor review. The Audio Solution may be technically great, but I never got a chance to experience that - only extremely poor communication, or none at all. I can only assume that Mark didn't really want to do the job I need done, but instead of being up front with me, he produced excuses, or didn't communicate at all. POOR business model...CAVEAT EMPTOR: use The Audio Solution at your own risk, especially if you covet communication and follow through with the service you're using. read more

Mark was really helpful and patient with listening and figuring out what possible scenarios I was dealing with, didn't try to sell me anything right away which I appreciate, just made the process very easy. Super helpful and laidback. read more

I found Mark here on Yelp and engaged him based upon his good reviews. We weren't disappointed. Mark completed a multi-room installation for us over 2 full days. He ran to get parts a couple of times because I changed things on him without notice. He also picked up a huge TV for us when it was too big to get into our SUV. His installation was clean-looking which is a BIG DEAL for me. He cleaned up his working areas both days and left our house better than he found it. He also followed-up with us the next day to see how things were. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a first-rate, professional job. read more

The Audio Solution - 70" 4K TV above the fireplace with center speaker mounted in the ceiling directly above. - High Fidelity Audio Equipment Near Me

Mark installed a our Frame TV with precision and expertise. He had to troubleshoot some weird wall construction issues but found a solution that allowed us to get the wire free look we wanted. I'll definitely give him a call if we have other Audio/Visual needs! read more

I had the pleasure of speaking with Mark a couple of weeks ago. My experience was great and he was very knowledgeable. I will be using him in the future when we decide to purchase a home theater system. I recently moved to the area and the home we purchased had two speakers in the ceiling with multiple different speaker wires coming out of the wall. As I was trying my best to hook up the ceiling speaker to our TV I was unable to figure out which speaker wire belonged to the ceiling speakers. That is when I turned to Yelp to help me find a service provider. I sent a message through to Mark including pictures of our home set up. Mark reached out the same day over the phone and went over some easy hacks I could use to help solve the problem. He then began to provide me more information regarding a home theater system. His recommendation worked. Thanks again Mark for your help in this matter. I hope to use you again in the future. read more

I hired Mark to install my surround sound system. I first asked him to come over and give me advice on some ideas for my system. He was very patient giving me all my options which I appreciated. He worked well within the parameters of my limited space adding much needed longer wires and connecting everything practically and perfectly. He then educated me on the use of the system which of course works great. Thank you Mark for your service, your professionalism and the quality of your work. read more

I'm a serial Do-It-Yourself type but I will never attempt to set up my own home theatre system again. The Audio Solution did everything better than I possibly could have and for an inexpensive price. Plus, I ended up saving money on hardware buying through them because they showed me better quality and bang for my buck. (I learned just how uneducated I was on all this.) Fantastic service! Couldn't be happier! read more

The Audio Solution - High Fidelity Audio Equipment Near Me

Mark was a pleasure to do business with. I'm really glad I decided to go with a local contractor that specializes in home installations rather than hiring a box store squad. I had Mark wall mount a 75 inch tv on my wall. He showed up on time, brought a licensed electrician, and had the job done as quoted,on time, for less than other bids. If you want someone who's easy to talk to and will shoot you straight from the first phone call give Mark at Audio Solutions a call. read more

I fortunately found Mark with Audio Solutions last year to setup AV in my sister in law's new home. Mark was professional and very knowledgeable. His work was exceptional. When my wife and I purchased our new home in Arroyo Grande, Mark from Audio Solutions was our AV contact. Mark came to our home to consult on our AV needs. Mark provided several options and prices for setting up our home. There was no high pressure sales, but then again, that was not necessary. Prices were competitive with what I found online and in various big box stores. Plus, I already knew the quality of Mark's work. The AV project consisted of mounting four flat screen TVs, three to walls and one from the ceiling, installing surround sound in the living room and the ability to play music throughout the house and patio. Mark recommended Sonos stereo system, which was an excellent choice. Sound is great and pairs well a new Samsung TV also recommended by Mark. The picture is amazing and with the Dolby Surround Sound via Sonos we have near theater quality experience. Mark's work is very detailed oriented. He also provided excellent advice on location and ascetics. More important he listened to my thoughts and the final result exceeded my expectations. I will use Audio Solutions for any future AV needs. I'd recommend Mark with no hesitation for all your AV needs. read more

I highly recommend Mark with the Audio Solution based on my experience. He helped me with the purchase and installation of a Frame TV and sound bar. I found him to be extremely diligent and knowledgeable. Audio Solution is a small but great outfit. The owner Mark helped us install a new audio/TV system from scratch in our house. It was a great experience, as painless as it could possibly be for people who are technophobes with a knowledge base frozen in time circa 1985... Mark is exceptionally well versed in all state-of-the-art equipment. What's more, he can explain what's being done in a way that layman can grasp quickly; this helps decision making on specific items and overall strategy. Importantly, Mark also is very candid about where his expertise begins and ends; he doesn't pretend to know everything; instead he refers you elsewhere. Mark is very personal and extremely prompt. He also is good about explicitly defining what he needs to do and when he is available. His rates are extremely reasonable. I'd use Mark again any time and undoubtedly will as our needs evolve. A great person and a great service. read more

We have worked with Mark twice and he is excellent! He installed in-ceiling speakers, set up our Sonos system and hung a number of TVs. He even installed a floating self on one of our walls. read more

Mark was great! I had an archaic stereo system that quit working! After months without music in the house, he helped us pick out some well priced components and set us up. He was quick to respond, helpful and very knowledgable. In no time he had us all set up enjoying our music, via blootooth/apps from our phone/ipads. ...and when I start pushing the wrong buttons, I know he is a phone call away with a quick fix! Thanks, Mark! read more

I've been having one heck of a time with my Pioneer Elite Series AVR getting the sound right with my speakers. All equipment is upscale for home theater though not the highest end available. About $10k total. Two tech's at Pioneer were of no help last week. Today found a good one. I spoke with Mark last week and although they do not sell Pioneer he did some research for me. Gave me some great spot on advice. That got me started on the right track. It's rare these days that a individual or business goes out of their way to help someone out who did not purchase their equipment from them. I wish I had purchased my AVR from this business. Probably would have gone with a Yamaha and had Mark set it up. Two words people forget: Thank You I definitely would recommend this company. read more

Mark and I recently worked together on a vacation home in Paso (I'm a designer). The homeowners wanted cutting edge style and electronics but live out of town so had to rely on us to coordinate and execute a pretty involved design concept. Mark and I were hired independently and I was nervous about who I would be "stuck" working with. Much to my surprise, Mark was not only knowledgeable and reliable but also friendly, humble and easy to work with. He's willing to do what it takes to get the job done and was sensitive to the design we created. I really enjoyed working with him. He will be our go-to for every audio/electronic need. read more

We live in Orange County and were camping in Pismo as our first stop of a month long California coast tour when my fiancée decided we had to have another TV installed in the motorhome. I don't know the first thing about electronics so naturally I turned to google. The Audio Solution came up and I gave them a call and explained our situation and they were extremely professional and totally willing to take on the challenge. Mark came out and gave us a quote which we thought was very reasonable and was able to install a tv in the bedroom of the motorhome and surround sound in the front of the coach for what we were expecting to pay for just the TV and all at our campsite!!! We are very happy with the services provided and would recommend The Audio Solution to anyone! read more

I'm pretty good at figuring things out, but when I bought my new 75 inch TV I was having a difficult time hooking up all my components through the television and my Yamaha Amp. I've used Mark before and decided I better call him. He's very quick to respond when you leave a message And called me back within 20 minutes. We discussed the issue and he thought he could help me by just walking me through a few simple ideas And instructions. I eventually got everything to work, But this is how "pro" Mark is: willing to help me troubleshoot the problem over the phone, efficient, great reputation, and I will certainly use him again when the time comes! If you have a need for any audio repair or set up, this is the go to guy. Use him! read more

Wow! Mark has fixed my A/V needs and is amazing and knowledgeable. He is patient and can support you in person and remotely. We went away recently and the family staying here messed up our system. This gives me no pleasure in writing this review. On October 29th Mark came to my house to install a new tv and run the wires behind the tv. He did most of the work, but needed to come back the following Monday to finish the work, run a few more wires and clean everything up so there weren't wires hanging everywhere. He also took my infrared emitter cables which I thought was weird because I personally bought them. Mark rescheduled twice then went completely dark. I have left a number of voicemails and texts and have heard no response. Today is December 4th, it has been 38 days and the project is still not complete. The worst part of it all is he sent me an online bill on October 30th and I immediately paid it in full, figuring I could trust that he would complete the project. This was my mistake. If he is not going to complete the project I would at least like my infrared cables returned. read more

I actually met Mark on a trip up to Arroyo Grande. After chatting for a while, I learned of his business. I was in the market for a new home theater setup in San Clemente, and he was able to educate me on what my options were, the pros and cons of each one, and what I could do with different budgets. It was during this conversation that he introduced me to a manufacturer that he specializes in and it subsequently changed my life: Sonos. My wife and I constantly play music in our home, but we had not been introduced to anything like Sonos before. Our stereos were always an auxiliary cord or bluetooth, neither of which allowed us to use our phones while playing music the way we wanted to. Sonos is a speaker that connects to the internet and plays everything wirelessly. The app is incredibly easy to use, and the speakers are very high-end and beautiful. Mark showed me some of his setups that used these speakers, and was able to tell that my wife and I would love having this option in our house. So, Mark was actually taking a trip to Orange County soon after I met him, and he agreed to come set up my home with a new 60" TV, a Sonos Playbar, and various Sonos speakers. He was able to do all this early and under budget, without me going anywhere. He always answered his phone, and was able to translate the complexities of the system in to terms that I would understand. I highly recommend The Audio Solution for any kind of tech installation in your home or office. Mark will tell you if he isn't an expert on the subject, and will refer you to someone else if he isn't 100% confident that he could do the best job. I'll use Mark again! read more

I cannot recommend Mark Lacouague and The Audio Solution enough! My husband and I are huge audiophiles, so sound is everything to us. Mark's advice and service helped us create an enviable home concert experience. He was also able to transform a huge and awkward event space into a warm and lively reception, where we could hear all of our songs and also easily converse with our guests. Mark is so knowledgeable and helpful without ever being pushy. He's also one of the kindest humans you'll ever meet. He is an absolute dream to work with and I'm sure we'll be calling on him for all our audible needs to come. read more

Mark at TAS called me back immediately and was flexible to my busy schedule. He is prompt, professional, and most importantly, honest. As someone who has grown up around a lot of higher-end stereo and television equipment, I knew enough to know that Mark was not overselling his product or overstating it's value. Mark came by to estimate the cost of doing the work I was interested in, and after calling a few other companies to compare pricing, I found that TAS easily beat these other companies out. I later learned Mark is a one man show and a small business owner- something that can be tough in SLO and the surrounding area. Despite that, he still gave me grade A service at a price to match. I am more than satisfied and will be returning to TAS should I ever need anything in the audio/ visual sphere again. read more
