Really enjoyed the drinks and ambience at this quaint bar. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent service.

I came here while visiting the keys and it was such a fun change and vibe from the usual casual scene around key largo! I know key lime pie is everything down there so I was blow away by this key lime pie martini!! I could not stop drinking it. It was sooo good. The bar service was okay, nothing too good or bad about it. It was fun and different to need a password to get in. Would go again for more martinis!!

Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting the keys Vibes, food, drinks, service, impeccable Curated menu with limited but great selections, everything we ordered was delicious (ceviche was a favorite!), proving that quality over quantity always You had to enter with a "secret code" that's posted on their Instagram account which added to the quirkiness of the entire experience At 8:00/8:30pm, live jazz music starting playing and that's when the crowd really began to build up. People chatting, singing, dancing, such a great vibe going for a Saturday night

My friend took me to this cute spot as I was in town visiting her. She's a regular here. The entree way was cute. Like you're entering a bunker and have to talk into the walkie-talkie for them to open the door. Ambiance: cute spot i must say! They were pretty busy as it was a weekend night. They had live music. And the light was dimmed. So a very cute date night or gno spot. Service: was great. My friends ordered a lot of food that night as they are regulars there. Food: food was great! I liked every dish. And the drinks were aweso

I absolutely loved this speakeasy. The concept of it being a bunker was soo cool. Before you can go in, you have to give them the passcode through a walkie talkie. They then grant you entrance into the bunker. It's dim lighting inside, it makes it spooky but also fun and even romantic imo. Great spot to grab a few cocktails with friends or even go on a date. The menu was great, we shared the bunker bites which were steak sliders and let me tell you that chimichurri sauce really made the sliders stand out. We also shared the truffle fries that had Parmesan cheese and crispy bacon. You can really taste the truffle in them, they were not shy with it. The cocktails were all exquisite. My favorite was the key lime pie martini....it was perfectly balanced. It was not too sweet, the merengue was sweet but really tied the entire cocktail together. Their espresso martini was also quite delicious. Don't even get me started on their creme brûlée, it was so good. The service was awesome! Our water was being filled every so often and the staff was extremely attentive. Probably one of the best speakeasy's I've been to in a while. If you are in the keys, you have to drop into this crazy cool spot.

Man y'all - this spot!!!!! so nice. We did it way more than twice but no lie - we were in the Keys for a month in February & The Armory Speakeasy was new on the scene & we knew we had to try it out! Everything was divine When I say that, this is no exaggeration, I mean everything from the vibe, the service, the drinks, the food, the way that all of that clearly had everybody else in the place feeling even, it was just top to bottom a five star experience no lie! Everything that we tried here was wonderful. We especially love the truffle fries & obviously the charcuterie (don't think a normal charcuterie. This is like a Michelin restaurant, charcuterie, quality, wise and pairing wise no lie) and my husband really loved the lamb kebabs or lamb chops. Also of note, The Lost Love Letter cocktail, super delicious at baseline as far as cocktails go but made even more special by the fact that there is an actual handwritten note pinned to your drink that comes to your table with it for you to discover all on your own. In addition to the awesome vibe indoors and the amazing food, drinks & service, the outdoor sitting area is all phenomenal with so many authentic relics included in the decor. So many good freaking photo ops out there, and I love the dichotomy of the relics with the natural trees that are on the grounds, the start contrast makes you really appreciate the natural beauty located there on the grounds and of course it's all enhanced with twinkle lights, which are always my favorite . We have gone any night from a Wednesday to a Sunday and all were different vibes, degree of busy and all amazing. Definitely try for a night with the live music because that was super fun as well. Genuinely such an amazing place with phenomenal staff, service, food, drinks & ambiance 1 10 out of 10 can't recommend enough!!!!!

Great spot, the outside makes you question if you are at the right place yes it does say the VFW. Trust me this place is a hidden gem, the ambience and service is top tier! Cocktails and food are great as well!

Cheers!

We had a blast here! I enjoy speakeasies. This one has you give them the password at the walkie-talkie before you are alloed to enter. The password can be found on their IG. The ambiance is Roaring 20s and the Prohibition era. The crowd was anywhere from ages 21 to 60. Everyone was having a great time here. Drinking and dancing and laughing. Speakeasies were often concealed behind unmarked doors, in basements, or disguised as other businesses to avoid detection by law enforcement. Alcohol was illegal during the Prohibition era 1920-1933. The Armory does a great job of recreating a speakeasy. We both ordered their house soecial, the Old Fashioneds to stay on trend. They were well made. We loved the bartender. He puts on a great show at the bar! You need to come here! I can't wait to go back. Parking is on the street and there is also a parking lot in the back. No stairs to climb.

The (bunker) entrance.

They have turned the VFW into a really unique spot. You don't see it from the front facing US1. Park in the back and enter the "bunker" surrounded by sandbags. You wave to call on the walkie talkie and give the password (found daily on IG). They guide you inside. The inside is really low light. Menus are back lit. They are easy to read. The food offerings are tapas style: sliders, hummus, cheese plate, carpaccio. They have wines, beer and well drinks. The well drinks are made with a flair. I watched an old fashioned be smoked inside a glass called by a skull device and the smoke came out the eyes and nose. Service was superb at the bar. The bartenders chatted it up with us. Be prepared that this unique spot is not inexpensive.

I absolutely love speakeasies and this one just takes the cake. The drinks are amazing if you tell them what you like they definitely pinpoint something good. Service was very good. Prices are as you would expect in the keys. You have to go into their Instagram to find the keyword in order to get in very cute that they're very solid on that end. The inside is very dark and very 20s setting with how they dress how it looks. The menus glow which I think is a cute little touch and they do have sailor hats of different sorts that you can wear. Between my niece and my mom and myself we were really happy to have gone 100% recommend.

Beautiful ambiance, attentive service, and a menu that actually delivers. The lounge vibe is relaxing without trying too hard, and every dish came out fresh and flavorful. Perfect spot to unwind, talk, and enjoy good music. Highly recommend.

Elite modern review:…read more Very modern and trendy place to be. Perfect for young adults and college crowds looking to have a great time. The music was on point, creating an energetic vibe all night. The bar setup was amazing, fast service and great drinks. Overall, a fun atmosphere with good energy, stylish crowd, and a place I would definitely come back to.

It is a little tricky to find it, once you find the parking lot, it is super confusing as to where you enter. There are two floors and multiple doors. Finally someone directed us up the stairs and to the back of the building. We were greeted and given menus fairly quickly, but it took an extraordinarily long time to get our food that day. The hollandaise sauce was atypical as it tasted like there was cheese in it. The smoked salmon on a bagel tasted okay, but fell apart when it was picked up. The breakfast burrito lacked a lot of flavor. The blueberry pancake, although slightly overcooked, was actually very good. The bacon and fried potatoes were not crisp, as I prefer them. So if you like crispy bacon and fried potatoes, ask for that when placing your order. The windows and floors are dirty and the women's bathroom had a round hole with a dirty sock stuck in it on the floor. I actually tripped over it. And the bathroom could have been much cleaner. With a few improvements, Sharkeys could be more appealing to tourists going through and visiting the Keys.

The place is small and we sat at the bar. It's a cool, dive bar vibe with memorabilia on the wall. There were only a handful of others there, but the service was slow, especially considering it wasn't very crowded. It seems like the waitress was distracted and forgot about us. Eventually, we were taken care of. We all got one of their sodas and thought h they tasted good. We tried to order their award-winning fish dip, listed on the specials board, but the waitress said they were out of chips. Ok, fine -- we said "forget it" and moved onto the main course. We all ordered some variation of the Fancy Nancy, their namesake burger. It was a good burger but not the best in Florida. Not even close. The fries were frozen and nothing to write home about. Others in our party ordered the "award-winning" potato salad, which tasted pretty good. As an aside, I ordered my burger medium well, and it was cooked as desired. Everyone else ordered their burger medium and two were very pink, more like medium rare or rare. It seems like most of their awards and accolades were earned pre-COVID. We wanted to like this local spot but I have to imagine it's not what it once was.

Five stars, and I want to explain this properly because High Tide in Key Largo is absolutely a…read moreplace people should experience at least once. This is one of those spots that immediately tells you it's a local favorite the second you walk in. It feels homey, lived in, and deeply rooted in the community. The average crowd definitely skews older, which honestly just shows how loyal the regulars are and how long this place has been doing something right. We stood for a minute or two when we arrived, which wasn't a problem at all, but the initial interaction felt a little abrupt. Nothing hostile, just very direct and urgent. We later found out that Cathy is the owner, and it became clear very quickly that this place is her whole world. She works hard, moves fast, and runs on urgency. That energy can sometimes come off sharp, especially to visitors who aren't used to that local, no frills style, but we gave her the benefit of the doubt. There were moments throughout our visit where the tone felt a little rough around the edges, and it wasn't just with us, we noticed it with other tables too. It didn't feel personal, more like someone who is stretched thin and running on fumes. To her credit, there were moments where she self corrected, and I genuinely believe this was just a long day rather than bad intentions. Running a place like this day in and day out is not easy, and you can feel how much effort goes into keeping it moving. This review isn't meant to tear anyone down, just to be honest for future guests so they know what to expect walking in. What truly changed our entire experience and pushed this from a four star visit to a solid five was our server. Her name started with a T, she wore glasses, and she was African American, and she was an absolute blessing. She treated us with warmth, patience, and genuine care, like we were family she was looking out for. When we sat down and the table needed to be wiped, she handled it gracefully without a single awkward moment. Everything she did felt intentional and kind. She was attentive without hovering, respectful, and genuinely happy to be doing her job. There was also a sweet older Latina woman clearing tables who was just as lovely and welcoming. It became very clear that despite the different personalities, this place functions as a team, and the heart of High Tide lives in the people who treat guests with care and humanity. If you get that server whose name starts with a T, you are in excellent hands. Now let's talk about the food, because this is where High Tide really shines. The hash brown casserole is a straight ten out of ten. No exaggeration. Comfort food perfection. Crispy, savory, and absolutely worth ordering. The country style platter we ordered was also a ten according to my friend, hearty and satisfying in the best way. The lobster benedict was good, I would give it about an eight. It's a fun, unique option if you want to try something different, but not the standout compared to the rest of the menu. And then there's the real star of the show, the Key lime pie. Even if you are not hungry, come for the pie. This is hands down the best Key lime pie I have ever had. Perfectly balanced, not overly tart, smooth and almost cheesecake like in texture. It's the kind of dessert that makes you pause after the first bite because it's that good. Beautifully presented too. The decor is charming and thoughtfully cluttered in a way that feels authentic, not staged. The bathrooms are old but very clean. Parking is a little quirky but manageable, and there is parking available if you're patient. Overall, the vibe is cozy, memorable, and unmistakably local. Would I come back? Absolutely, especially for the food and that pie. Cathy, you are clearly working your ass off, and I hope this was just a rough day. This review comes with honesty and flowers, not shade. Five stars for the food, the heart, and the people who make this place what it is. I do recommend it.
