This is 5 stars for being what it is, the best hang out bar in the Silver Spring area. The food is fairly standard pub grub, but all executed very well, and they always have a couple/few dishes that are a little more unusual if you are bored with standard pub fare. The service, bartenders, and crowd are what get this place over the top to five stars. The crowd is full of regulars but almost all of them are very friendly a quick to include newcomers. The bartenders are fast and learn the patrons and their drinks quickly (if you are consistent with your order). Overall, it just a great mix of bar crowd and families jamming the dining room that make this seem like the neighborhood bar everyone wishes they had. read more

Run of a meal bar just outside of downtown Silver Spring. I came in on a Monday night for quick drinks after a season ending softball game. I had the burger, it was cooked well and apparently 40% off because it was a Monday night. The burger was seasoned well and juicy enough. Fries were just okay, cooked have been cooked a littler harder and salted a little more. Not much else to be say about 4 Corners, nice chill spot to grab a beer and a bite and enjoy a game or two. read more

I have been a customer of the pub for all most 30 years, since I was 11 years old. I just went in for lunch with my brother, he ordered pizza and 2 beers. I ordered 12 wings and fries, which is over $15 total. The server is or normal one and is always pleasant and professional. I ate 3 wings and 1/3 of the fries and boxed the rest up to take home to my son for dinner. I realized I forgot the box about 30 min after leaving and immediately went back there. The server through it away, and told me they would make a new order for me. The manager then comes over after 10 minutes and says he checked the camera and I left 45 min ago and they have a rule of throwing food away after 30 min. Then proceeded to tell me they couldn't or wouldn't replace the wings. Again I paid $11 for 12 wings and ate 3. Paid $4.25 for fries that I ate about 1/3 or less of. I am beyond disappointed. I left and called and talked to the server and tell the manager Spencer If he wants to lose the business of myself, my family, and friends over an order of 12 wings then that's fine. I then get a call from another manager that basically said sorry you feel that way but you came back after 30 min. Totally ridiculous to think someone would order 12 wings, eat 3, ask for a box, and then not expect to get them upon return. NEVER giving them my hard earned $ again read more

We can here for happy hour. We ordered a dozen of old bay wings and a large pepperoni pizza. It was just enough for four grown men. The wings came out hot and fresh. They were good but it could use a little more old bay seasoning. The pizza came out like Ledo's Pizza. They don't cut corners. I like Ledo's Pizza. This pizza is a lot better. It came out hot. The pepperoni filled each square. The pepperoni are a lot bigger than the average pepperoni one a pizza. I would definitely come back. Too bad this place is a hike for me. The cornor pub makes wonderful soups...best anywhere around. They are way over priced for drinks. $7.50 for a mamosa is outrageous especially when they arent using top shelf champagne. We've always gone here after funerals at Collins. It's an obviously sad time but also a good way to remember our loved ones and toast to them in heaven. The pub has been around for years, and my cousins have gone there for years. Most recently I went there after my husband did a cute fire safety presentation for my other cousin's brownie troop across the street. The food is solid, especially the pizza. Service has always been efficient, friendly, and as quick as they can accommodate (given the small space and popularity). The only negative is the parking-the lot is small and neighborhood parking is tough to find. We actually parked across the street but I wouldn't recommend that as who knows if towing is enforced. We went on during March Madness and it was swamped. We were able to get a drink at the bar and were seated around the same time as we were quoted a wait. Rob was our server he did a great job-he was busy but never neglected our table. Even though we don't live near the pub, it's a nice spot to meet friends and have a decent dinner and some drinks. read more

The 4 Corners Pub is a staple location in Four Corners. It's been around for years. As a Woodmoor resident, it is nice to have a place to where one can enjoy themselves with a nice cold one and delicious foods. Many patrons are regulars that have been coming here for years, which makes for a great conversational atmosphere at the bar especially. Sarah, the bar tender, is extremely welcoming and is quick to be of service. That alone made me a regular to this bar. read more

The inside was quite dated and there didn't seem to be much organization if you weren't at the bar (that is, if you were seated in the dining room). Also, it is DEFINITELY a locals bar, which on one hand might be endearing, but it was honestly overwhelming and intimidating as they had ever seat at the bar, were loud and quite abrasive. Well, this has been a sort of puzzling transition to our neighborhood bar. The place used to be Corner Pub. We thought it had closed down completely, but now after several months it has reopened. It's renovated, and, with an ever-so-slightly different name, it's apparently under new management as well. We stopped in for drinks only, so I can't comment on the food yet. I'll have to come back and update when we eventually go back for dinner. I did look at a menu, though, and it appears to be more-or-less the same fare that was available before the management switch. A lot of the staff appears to be the same, too. And the overall vibe hasn't changed: young families in the dining room, and the bar area hoppin' with what appear to be local regulars "of a certain age." I definitely wasn't enough of a regular at the old spot to tell if the bar options or prices have changed substantially. My husband said his Yuengling was $3, which seems perfectly reasonable for the area. The place seems cleaner and brighter than before, although its footprint hasn't changed much and I'd be hard-pressed to explain how it's substantially different than Corner Pub in the atmosphere department. Less stuff on the walls and better views of the TVs, I suppose. Oh, and the ladies' bathroom is so. much. better! Honestly, this is pretty much the only sports bar we have in the neighborhood, so beggars can't be choosers. It's not worth a special trip, but perfectly acceptable as a local neighborhood hangout. I do like the fact that it somehow manages to be a bar where I can feel comfortable bringing my child, and I can see us coming here on a more regular basis now that we have baby in tow. read more

Perfect neighborhood place. Food is not going to earn a Michelen star, but I guarantee you will like it a lot, pay a fair price, and no doubt come back for more. Beer is cold. Wait staff is friendly. OK, my original review from a couple of years ago was a four star review; for what it was, the pub did a solid job, and we've stopped in there regularly over the years. Noting fancy -- just basic pub fare, done respectably well. Good neighborhood tavern. But lately, they're really fallen off, especially in the quality of the food. Their steak and cheese had been one of my husband's favourites for many years; the last two times he's ordered it, he's said it wasn't very good at all -- the second time he didn't even finish it. I ordered a French dip that was a special one night several weeks ago, and that was also not very good -- meat seemed dry and tasteless, the dipping juice was bland, and the whole thing was served tepid, with cold french fries. Tonight, our whole table ordered burgers; two were ordered at medium-rare, one at medium-well ... all three came out on the VERY well done end of well-done. Not quite to "ossified," but not far off. And the onion rings -- normally very tasty -- were cold when they arrived at the table, and far greasier than usual. Cold greasy onion rings are not remotely appealing! The service isn't up to its old levels, either. The last few times we've been in, service has been slow, or inconsistent; we've spent a lot of time waiting for our server. If our waiter had come by tonight while we were eating our burgers, to check in, I'd have said something about how badly overcooked they were -- they weren't quite so bad that I'd likely send them back, but I confess I considered it -- but he didn't come by to see if things were OK until after we were finished eating. The servers we've had recently also haven't seemed to know their jobs well. It's little things. We were seated tonight right under the specials board. That was OK, but it meant we couldn't see it. He never offered to tell us about the specials. He was awkward when asking if we were ready to order -- we'd set our menus down on the table and were chatting, so fairly obviously we had decided, but he still approached us saying something to the effect of, "So do you guys need a few more minutes?" He also made what's becoming a common mistake, of clearing some dirty plates while one diner was still eating. It was a slow night; there were only a few other tables seated, so he wasn't rushed or distracted. And he wasn't rude, or anything like that. I think he was just poorly trained. It's a shame -- I've liked the Pub for years. Still a decent neighborhood place to stop for a pint -- they have a short but interesting and varied beer selection, with some very good choices included. And they've made some physical upgrades in the last few years, especially improving the bathrooms, and decluttering the dining room. But if you're looking for a meal, you might want to go elsewhere these days. Though FWIW, the last time I had their pizza (always a popular item), about 6 months or so ago, it was still very good. I sincerely hope the Pub can find it's way back to the quality of food it's had in the past. read more

The wife and I went back to give it another try as our first review was right when it opened. We tries to order the same things so to give a before and after comparison. We retried the Old Bay and Lime wings and they were much, much better. Strong favor of spices, and wings nicely deep fried. Ordered the Greek Pizza and big difference also - not swimming in grease, good distribution of toppings. Waitress was very friendly and outgoing. Since Yelp doesn't allow 3.5 stars I'll give it a 3 as its still a bit pricey for a no frills neighborhood joint, but my experience was much improved and I'd definitely go back. read more

Talk about a great turn around. This place opened back up and everything has improved. People are more prompt, management is more profession and the food is good. I have this a 5 star because for a bar/restaurant I would also bring my family (including my kids). Before, I would go by myself w/ buddies. Now, all are welcome. GREAT Pizza!! I have been coming here for at least 25 years and been through all of the different ownership changes, but the one constant here is the pizza. Great pizza, great toppings and very nice people (now). The interior has been significantly upgraded and the ownership makes everyone feel welcome. We live about 30 minutes away and my kids insist on me driving there to pick it up. Perfect local hangout. The regulars at the bar are friendly and it is a place for the whole family. Since living in the neighborhood, I've been frequenting this pub for a few years now. The food is delicious with very unique specials offered daily for food, soup, desserts, and even rotating taps (great selection of regular beers on tap too!). The specials run throughout the week bring in a lively crowd which, yes, can include many children around Happy Hour times (because they also gotta eat), but 1/2 off burger Mondays and 1/2 off pizza Tuesday and Thursdays really bang the buck. The trivia on Wednesdays is always fun and enjoyable with challenging questions for all ages. THE CRAB SOUP IS TO DIE FOR: so lumpy and creamy and topped with old bay! Spencer is an attentive manager who makes everyone feel welcome. Katy is an amazing server with just the right amount of check-ins and timely service. I am unsure of the bartender's name with the beard and the tattoos but he makes fantastic cocktails and pours a perfect beer with just the right amount of foam. The bussers and food runners are extremely efficient and timely. They are also being eco-friendly by not giving straws out except by request and advertise this as well (every little bit helps!)
