    Buffalo chicken sandwich
    Sara Z.

This is one of those places where had I checked the Yelp reviews before walking in, I would have thought twice about going. At just past noon, the rap music was blaring in a way that unsettling for the time of day. It was also completely empty. The service was fine, and the food was basic, but extremely expensive for what it was - basic buffalo chicken sandwich for $17?? There are way better, more unique restaurants in the area that I would rather spend my time at.

Another silver spring disappointment unfortunately. I used to frequent this spot because I fell I. Love with their Reuben sandwiches. It's always so good! Drinks are good as well! Service be hit or miss but today takes the cake. My home girl and I came in. A bartender came up to us and we told her we wanted to sit at the bar. I asked for 2 waters to start. It's 90 degrees outside today lol. So, we received the menu and we both decided we were going to order 2 side Cesar salads. The bartender put it in. Then another bartender later came to us and said it will be 18.00. I said huh? I was confused, then she walked out. We never received our food, why are we paying? I can understand if we placed a takeout order. But we didn't. So, 20 minutes later no food. It was about 6/7 other people in the restaurant. Then our bartender came back and said we have to pay. Why are we paying for our food now that we didn't receive? I mentioned, that I have dined here before and I never had to do that especially when dining in? So what changed? Is it a walkout thing? New policy? I don't know? So I told the bartender that they can cancel the Caesar salads and we will be leaving. I have attached the Reuben sandwich and cheesecake from a previous experience that I had, which was delicious. DO BETTER FIRESTATION.

Enjoyed a NFL gameday Sunday afternoon here. It wasn't crowded at all which I thought was odd for a large sports bar. I was accompanied by a group of friends and they all described delicious dishes. I ordered the Miami Mojito, chicken wings and crab quesadilla. Even though the chicken wings were sauced they had a nice slight crisp on the exterior and were tender on the inside. The quesadilla was incredibly soft and flavorful. The crab meat really made the difference. All were really good! So good I ordered the quesadilla and their hottest chicken wings to-go. I'll give them another try soon to verify their consistency. I was shocked not many people were dining here on this day, on a football Sunday. Overall a good experience.

Went to Fire Station for the first time. They had opened minutes before we walked in. Our bartender was so friendly and gave us great tips about the area as we're just moving in next week. They were setting up for live music so would love to go back to see that next time!

Great atmosphere and great drink served by Jessica and Abdul! Strong and flavorful. Fire Station is perfect for watching the game or hosting private parties upstairs. Located in downtown Silver Spring it's metro/buss accessible or a parking garage nearby. Favorites: The wings, Southwest Egg rolls and chicken tenders are a must. Drink favorites: Margarita or Mango Martini Come here for groups, casual date night or solo time at the bar and you're sure to be take care of with 5-star service!

They are following social distance guidelines and staff wear masks. Yesterday I came here with my boyfriend and enjoyed some drinks. Today, I'm meeting my friends here to eat dinner. As always, the staff is very friendly and professional! I'm looking forward to trying the potato skins with jalapeños instead of bacon. In the past, I've ordered the veggie quesadillas, which had lots of vegetables inside! As one that doesn't usually eat mushrooms, they were hidden enough for me to still eat every bite! My friends normally order the salmon Caesar salad with salmon or steak. Needless to say, none of the salad is ever leftover! This is a great spot for happy hour and also features socially distant parties sometimes over the weekends!

Ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious! The bleu cheese added unexpected flavor. Good place to watch football and have a beer. Definitely will return.

I've been to fire station 1 times before for gogo (DC original music) and I've never ordered anything on the menu. I'm so glad I decided to take a chance with the food and get something to eat. My boo & I decided to brave the snow and go to see one of the local DC bands play. I was starving by the time we got there so I decided to get some wings. I love bar wings. The bartenders were super nice and very helpful when I decided to make my order. I got the Cajun wings and a margarita. My drink was made quickly and it was super tasty. My wings came out about 15 minutes later. They were hot and I could tell they were well seasoned. As I took my first bite I knew I was in heaven. They were juicy & crispy at the same time. I almost ordered more wings just to go home with me. I can't wait to go back and try more foods on their light night menu.

Ask the Community - Fire Station 1

Why do you charge people for mistakes made with their order when it arrives? What happened to comping the item that was wrong? I thought that was good customer service, especially if you are frequent customer. (3+ times a month)

Because their customer service is horrible and they genuinely do not care. I had the manager yell at me. Absolutely ridiculous!

I also got a mushroom lasagna and it didn't feel hot enough/ didn't taste amazing after the first few bites. But hoping it's a one off and would like to try some other things. We weren't the biggest fan of the chicken sandwich (I think it was called the chicken royale?) we got either- it just didn't work with the combination inside the sandwich. Seemed like there was only 1 person running the whole downstairs (and maybe training someone else) but he was a burst of sunshine keeping it together. Because of the 2 dishes not really hitting the mark but fish and chips are great id give it between 3 & 4 stars! Will come back for the fish & chips and try something else as the atmosphere was lovely and service was nice. Also looks like they have nice deals for every day of the week at the upstairs portion.

We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned.
