Was in DTSS last night and on a whim decided to google a good place to get a beer. THBC came highly recommended on Reddit so I opted to try it. 10/10 would recommend. Parking is kind of inconvenient but that's not their fault. It's a feature of DTSS. The bartender was friendly and just a delight. I do not recall her name but she was very kind to my guest who was with me. Will definitely come again!

I came here to meet up with some friends after work. Happy hour is on weekdays from 4-6pm - you can get $1 off draft full pours and $2 off most apps and flatbreads. It's a seat yourself kind of place with a casual ambiance, and all orders are placed at the bar. There's also outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Music was playing in the background for a lively atmosphere. There's a few arcade games in the back and a selection of board games to choose from to have a game night. They have a self-serve water dispenser in the corner by their merch section; they sell shirts and you can also get select beers to go. While their website only lists their local brew selection, they do have bar food available. A basket of kettle chips is $1.50, which is a steal! Prices were reasonable; all food items were no more than $15. I ordered the nachos ($11) and added a side of guacamole ($2 upcharge). In terms of portion size, it was a generous platter of nachos - great for sharing - but it was light on the toppings and resulted in lots of plain chips on the bottom. For a dish called "Ultimate Nachos," I was hoping it would be more loaded. They also used a shredded cheddar cheese which they melted on top; some liquid beer cheese would've elevated the nachos. Service was low key but great overall. On a Wednesday night, there was only one bartender working the bar, but it wasn't crowded so one was sufficient with minimal wait. There was another staff member in the kitchen making the food and delivering it to the tables. We had a large group and they checked on us a few times to clear dishes. Towards the end of the night, the bartender also notified us of last call. Overall, Third Hill Brewing was a nice impromptu meet-up spot for our large group.

Overall, it was a good experience. Went here today for their beach party event. The weather was beautiful so we really appreciated the open windows in the front of the brewery. Staff took our orders for drinks very quickly. We came towards the beginning of the event so there weren't a lot of people there, but it was enough. I'm not a beer drinker but my partner had the Remix sour and loved it. The food was just okay. I ordered a chicken wrap, which also included pieces of avocado. I'd definitely come here again, just for the atmosphere. Parking is a bit challenging so if you decide to visit try to come early for street parking.

Right on a busy street but once inside it was open and welcoming. Really enjoyed the beers while soaking in the crowd. Pricing was reasonable. Bartenders were a bit distant but that didn't detract from my beer experience!

Checked out the new Third Hill Brewing Company at the site of our beloved Astro Lab Brewing on opening day last Friday and they totally knocked it out of the park with all their beers! The staff and owner are all extremely friendly and knowledgable about beer. My wife and I took all four beers they have in cans home as we gave them 5s on Untappd. The atmosphere is amazing and similar to Astro Lab. They do not have a kitchen menu yet but have local vendors borrow the kitchen. Opening day was a they had a Cuban vendor and we tried chicken empanadas which we loved. We look forward to coming back when new beers are released, new vendors come in, when their kitchen menu debuts, and with our friends on my birthday for a Silver Spring beer crawl.

Checked out this new brewery in the Silver Spring area. My husband had a Helles Lager and I had a Fun Time Seltzer - Key Lime Pineapple Hard Seltzer, it was delicious! The brewery has various board games to choose from and a lot of indoor and outdoor seating area. Great music too! The serves are very nice and everyone makes you feel welcomed! Will definitely try and make it out again!

Great service, good food and the covered patio provides a good respite where you're "outside" but not really outside.

They have an excellent line up of beers that they rotate throughout the year, but frequently have the same ones from year to year, so you get both variety and consistency. They also sport a variety of branded beer glasses so beers are usually served in the appropriate glass. My favorite beers are their European-inspired ones, especially anything German-style. I've visited a few times over the years and I was glad to see they expanded their food menu somewhat recently to include sandwiches, bowls, and wings. They have a large indoor area plus a large outdoor patio. Service is basic; you order via your phone and they drop off the items. On my recent visit, I got the Steak Sandwich with chips: flank steak with garlic aioli, sundried tomatoes, red onion, and English cheddar cheese served on a toasted baguette. It was delicious and indulgent. My Keller Door beer (Franconian-Style Kellerbier) was also delicious.

Silver Branch's selection of foods and beers was just the type of place I was looking for, and as icing on the cake, that evening, a local pet adoption center was going to have some dogs outside you could meet and that hopefully some locals would adopt into a forever-home. Ordering food and drink from any of the many tables inside is super convenient. Each table has its own QR code that you can scan, to bring up their menu on your phone. Once an order is placed, the food and drink come out very quickly, and a running tab will be kept until you choose to close it. I enjoyed my stout (a can pour) with flavors of coconut and almond, and it paired nicely with my Southwest Salad. It wasn't obvious to me, as a first time customer, that you have to get your silverware and napkins from a station a elsewhere in the large room, but luckily, I had overheard someone else commenting on that before my food arrived. The only possible problem might be parking on busy nights. For example, on this night, a concert was going to start nearby; the dinner crowd was larger than usual, and more parking spots in the area were taken. Other than that, food and drink are very enjoyable here, and I'd certainly come back if I'm in the area again.

Ive never been here on a weekend day. Its also great to support a business where the entire staff are deaf. I didnt figure this out until after a few visits and each time, the person pouring my draft was using sign language and reading my lips to help me. Beers have always been good. This time I had a JRA, which is a hoppy lager and very good. Mom had a fancy cola. It would be fun if they did a happy hour too. There's always a burger food truck parked here, but have never tried it. We sat outside, soaked up the sun like two lizards, had good conversation and enjoyed the beautiful day. Id definitely come back again when in the area.

I've been self-teaching myself sign language, and having the opportunity to come here and get some real one-on-one interaction and practice has been incredible. It's one thing to study on your own, but being able to engage in person in such a welcoming, supportive environment has been absolutely amazing. That kind of experience is rare -- and so appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxed, inclusive, and genuinely warm. The outdoor space is spacious and perfect for soaking up the sun, and we love that food trucks rotate through -- it makes every visit feel a little different. And Magnolia (our mini dachshund) is clearly a fan too. She was stretched out in the sunshine, completely relaxed, soaking it all in like she owned the place. Watching her sprawl out and enjoy herself just added to the whole experience. Great beer, great people, great vibes. We'll definitely keep coming back.

The beer itself is quite good, and the bathrooms are clean. No complaints there. The issue is atmosphere, or the lack of it. Service was efficient and accurate, but the bartenders ranged from detached to noticeably unfriendly, which doesn't exactly set the mood. There was a live band the night I visited, and they were good. They were clearly trying to get something going, but it just didn't take. Part of that may be the crowd, which I realize a brewery can't fully control. But it's a strange fit for the location. Seven Locks sits in an industrial park in a more modest part of Rockville, and the clientele skews heavily toward families who've come with kids, tablets, and dogs, and who aren't particularly interested in talking to anyone they didn't arrive with. There's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't make for a lively bar experience. The result is a place that has the ingredients for something great but feels oddly joyless in practice. I'll probably try it again hoping something clicks, but right now it's a hard place to love.

I'm going to be honest.. this was not really a place that I think is appropriate for a show, a drag show at that. Lots of kicking, spinning, vogueing - and it was distracting to getting my drink down. I wish the space was more opened for the event. Additionally, the parking wasn't the best either. We parked on the street, about 0.2 miles away and were pleased to see there wasn't a charge posted on the meter. Almost an hour into the bingo show, my friend and I were hungry, and did not want the bags of chips floating around 7 Locks. So we left without finishing the game and went to go settle those hunger sounds. Overall, I don't think I would return to 7 Locks. There were a few missed moments and to top it all off, the crowd wasn't the most inviting either, as I asked a gentleman at a single table by himself, if the seats were taken (as my party of 2 stood for the first hour), and his response was that he would "let me know" once he finishes his pizza. Just - kinda rude in my opinion too.
