Their green curry is our favorite--so rich and flavorful--I could just drink the sauce on its own, but spoon it over some rice and it's equally heavenly. I'm always skeptical of Khao Soi because to be honest, I've never had a good one, but that's now changed. Rather than being weak and light on flavor with overcooked chicken and noodles, this one had chicken that was unbelievably tender and juicy, al dente noodles, and the soup was super flavorful. It might be my new favorite item on the menu. If you love curry and noodles, you should give it a try! And of course, my go-to favorites are still the Pad Krapao ("Thai Basil") and Larb, which is one of my favorite Thai salads. I've been to every Thai restaurant in the area and tried the larb and Chan Chao is without question the best. The balance in the flavors for the sauce are perfect and with the Romaine lettuce, shredded cabbage, and cucumbers, it makes for a reasonably healthy lunch. Both of these dishes are large enough to split for at least two meals. Also, from time to time, my takeout orders have these cute hand-drawn post-its and all I can say is that it's always a good day when Chan Chao is on the menu! But, what made the visit truly special was meeting Jenny, the owner and chef, and her husband. In waiting for our California Roll to come, we then ordered our entrees and we received our Tofu Soup. Let me tell you, I'm not a big fan of Tofu but, this was very delicious. It had the taste of onion soup with little bits of mushrooms and then little bits of tofu as well. Probably about 5 minutes later our entrees came out and my wife ordered the Salmon Teriyaki and I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and it also came with 2 sides of white rice.
