As far as goodwills go, this is one of the worst I've been to. Lots of clothes (kind of) but not enough hard goods. Also it's dark inside.

Unfortunately, they don't have any round tables for big groups, but they can accommodate at least groups of 8-10 because they put tables together for us to fit us in. We made a res because of our group size, and we had no issues being seated right away. They serve water vs hot tea, but the water glasses are big and they are constantly refilling! Super good service. We ordered a lot of dishes because we were a group of 8. We called ahead and special ordered jai (also called Buddha's delight) which is a common dish for Chinese new year. It's clear rice noodles with veggies and tofu skin. It was delicious! We also ordered the seafood platter, beef chow fun (small charge for the wide noodles instead of mein), salt and pepper fish, green onion pancake appetizer, Manchurian beef, another veggie platter (I think it was just a deluxe veggie dish), honey walnut prawns, and basil chicken which was not spicy in my opinion. All of the food was good. The Manchurian beef and salt and pepper fish breading was a little thicker than I like but the flavors were delicious. Support local businesses!

Update - I had read on Reddit that they had scaled back their hours and dining options. But I…read morereally wanted to get their crispy pork belly for the Super Bowl and then also celebrate the upcoming lunar new year in Petaluma with hot pot and take friends who have never experienced it. I could never get an answer when I called. I drove by to check on Fantasy and it looks like they are closed!! But for good? Mixed signals. Googling them says they're temporarily closed. Then here on yelp, there is no confirmation of that. But then the photo I took from their door says they're selling the tableware and the sign in Chinese is saying that if somebody wants to take on the business to call that number. I really hope another business that is legit and has hot pot takes over. Maybe they are on a lease that has kept them there? My best outcome wish for them is that they can open up in a better location that is more of a strip mall. The current location and the dilapidated sign wasn't good advertising for new patrons, sigh. please come back! Or if you start up another restaurant, please let me know!

I totally was that weird kid who ate strange food growing up. I would rather eat lobster or…read moreartichokes than chicken or green beans, and given the choice I'd gladly eat my body weight in dim sum over basically any other food. That hasn't changed at all for me as an adult! In Sonoma county there was really just one place with dim sum, and lots of people wanted more options. I tried other restaurants with their dim sum adjacent menus, but they were pretty mediocre and mostly focused on fried pot stickers or the occasional steamed siu mai. Once I heard fantasy was starting a true dim sum menu, I knew we had to try it. The day we arrived I was solidly in my third trimester of pregnancy and getting around was a chore, but that wasn't going to keep me from dim sum. We were the only guests the whole time on the day we went there, which was weird to me given how good the food ended up being! Service was great, super friendly and just lovely folks. The restaurant was clean and we'll organized, and the menu was a good mix of traditional favorites and some trendy BAO for the insta. We ordered a little of everything , which to me is why dim sum is so fun. Food came out super fast, and we tucked right in. Surprisingly to me, my favorite dish is one hubs picked on a whim, the spicy won tons. The flavors and textures were on point, and even with pregnancy heartburn, the spice on these things was well worth it. Super delicious. I felt the pandan and black sesame bao were overly trendy for my taste, but I'm sure those who are new to dim sum could see these options as easy introduction into the food. Really good experience here with very tasty food, nice people and quality dishes. I'm still getting over the idea of expensive dim sum because of growing up eating it in SF with low costs in a humble setting, but for this overall experience I felt the prices were fine. I will definitely be back, and eager to try the rest of the items on their menu.

Quality of food is also beyond my expectations. Waitress recommended the clay pot so I gave that a try and don't regret it one bit. It's everything I love. Lots of tofu, veggies (that weren't over cooked) and rice. I have a big appetite and the amount of food was just the right amount. I did not leave hungry at all. while I waited for my food, they brought my appetizer. It was delicious. The shrimp spring rolls were fresh, and peanut sauce that came with it was loaded with little peanut pieces (I love a crunchier sauce over a smooth sauce). I also enjoyed a Thai iced tea. I'm not a fan of almond milk, but whichever brand they use, was better than any other I've had at other places. I want to go back and try the bahn mi sandwich. Service was really good and restaurant offered booth seating and open table seating. Can't wait to go back!

When you see Asian people in an Asian restaurant in Petaluma, go there!…read more This restaurant is in Theater Square and I finally had a chance to go. I loved their fresh crisp veggies in my vermicelli and grilled pork salad on an unusually hot early spring evening. while I was expecting a flattened grilled pork chop cut into slices I actually got what I learned was homemade Vietnamese pork sausage, which resembled a sweeter kielbasa. This is different than how I would interpret "grilled pork" - so maybe a photo or an extra noun ("sausage") would help there. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant experience to try it, and it was the friendly owner who explained it to me. I also appreciated that they had a multitude of chili paste available, including my favorite, the chili crisp, which is not something I typically see in a Vietnamese restaurant. (FYI, add a dollop of the chili crisp in the vermicelli salad for a little kick if you can handle it!) I will be back and will try more dishes, including the pho and the Boba. (I was surprised that there weren't more people there, but maybe not everybody knows that Vietnamese food is more than just pho and that there are tasty options with protein that are authentic for warm days). I'm not sure how authentic Boba is for a Vietnamese restaurant but hey, if it allows for people to drop in quickly and get exposure to the business, I'm all for it!

Recently, we went and had dinner. The food and service were lovely. When the check came out, there was a 15% service charge added - a first in many years of coming here and not noted on the menu, which I believe is a requirement or you can ask to have the service charge removed. That in itself isn't a huge issue because we would normally tip 20% anyway. The issue is that none of the staff mentioned the service charge and on the credit card receipt, the suggested tips were still the normal amounts of 15%, 20%, and 25%. If you didn't notice the service charge, you'd leave a normal tip on top of it. This feels a bit disingenuous as most places charging a service charge will reduce the suggested tip options to something like 3%, 5%, and 7%. Please review your receipt carefully if you dine here!
