Probably my worst experience at a a Panda Express. I'm not sure which are decisions of a franchise owner and which are from corporate, but the menu selection was pretty lame. My son and I felt pressured but the employee to pick out items before we had a chance to even see what they have. My son wanted just an entree but the employee made him a plate and didn't seem to understand that he didn't want rice or noodles, just the entree. I asked for two sodas but only was rung up for one. Just everything was off just a little, not enough to leave but enough to make us feel like we should have gone to Habit or something. The restaurant was clean and not too busy on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was easy. read more

I had a scheduled interview for 11 am which I arrived 10 minutes early to. When the employee greeted me, he told me that the manager was not there yet, and that I should come back at 11:30 (which I did) and walked in to see that I had been skipped without getting any type of message or phone call. I was aware of the first come first serve policy of the hiring event, and being the first person to arrive for an interview, I expected to be the first person served. I had an issue with a DoorDash order for some party trays. I ended up cancelling and calling the store. They told me to go in. Luis the manager was so friendly and helpful. Food: 3/5 With the other places in the area being closed and having just a few minutes to eat something I tried this spot. I have tried roughly 10-15 other Panda Express locations, and sadly this one was by far, the most underwhelming and unsatisfying of them all. The noodles tasted a bit old, chicken was ok but lacked flavor and also cold, veggies ok, chicken breast and teriyaki lacked flavor compared to the other times at other locations I've had them. The teriyaki chicken (I always get this without the extra sauce) had so much extra fat and inedible parts that I couldn't eat. As I could have easily picked up an order to go in the future, due to the food quality and taste I will likely not be returning ever again. Service: 2/5 The first person pouring my sides was friendly and helpful and well as the second. When I encountered the first person ringing me up, she seemed confused on what I had ordered. I had to repeat it all, and ask for chili sauce 4 times. After the second time, she had only put in one packet. I kindly requested another and at the point it seemed like she just ignored me. For this whole meal I only had 2 packets of sauce. Ambiance: 3/5 It is incredibly dead inside here and my coworkers in the area recommended avoiding the place but I just had nowhere else to go as I was hungry with just 10 min to spare for the next few hours to eat all day. Inside, I did not feel welcome. Did not use the restroom either as I needed. There were two employees there as well eating right by the order area which was a bit awkward as no customers were inside. Stay Away Unless You Have Great Health Insurance On May 8th around lunchtime, we ordered takeout from Panda Express in Petaluma. Within just a few hours, everyone who ate the food got violently ill -- it was coming out of both ends. My 3-year-old woke up from his nap soaked in sweat. The only one in our family who didn't get sick was the one who didn't eat the food. We went to Kaiser and were told it was food poisoning. We're fine now, but it was a miserable experience, especially with young kids involved. This place needs to be investigated by the Petaluma Health Department. I get that companies like Panda Express have lawyers who will say "you probably ate something else," but this review isn't about blame -- it's about warning others. If it saves you or your family from a trip to urgent care, then it's worth it. Avoid this location. It's not worth the risk. read more

Depending on the location, Panda Express can be a hit or miss when it comes to meeting the expected standards of one of their flagship locations. It's not mystery the reason 90% of us go is for the orange chicken. This Panda Express is conveniently located in a strip mall, with a cold stone creamery next door, so be on the look out for my review for them a well. The interior is well kept, clean and during peak hours difficult to find a place to sit. I always found myself ordering the same thing over and over, 1 side with 3 entrees. I had the rice, double orange chicken, and then the teriyaki chicken with extra sauce on the side. The 4 months I spent in Petaluma, this place was a frequent stop at least once a week, more so on the weekends then during the week. I never had an issue with this location or its food. **Full Disclosure** This experience occurred back in 2004, but I am just catching up on all my reviews now. Very disappointed today. The food here is always great and they always are quick. I like that they have dots on the floor for proper 6 ft distancing for guests. They have signs everywhere that say masks are required which is great! Unfortunately they are not enforcing it with their own employees. I see why they have a 1-2 star rating. The lady was rude at the front which is normal but my biggest gripe is the portions. You are paying 10$ for 2 SMALL scoops of orange chicken and a tiny bit of rice. As I said in a previous review that I would update my review when the service was improved. The foods taste has gotten a lot better, I've really enjoyed the quality of the food. I want to add more stars but unfortunately I can't do that yet because of the time it takes to get my food. The food is already made, it should take a max of 5 minutes to scoop my food and allow me to pay. This isn't with big lines, this is me standing and waiting to pay for my food while the servers move slowly and talk to each other. I'm going to mark the time it takes me to get my food below and continue to update it. 7/22 - 8mi 8/3 - 7mi - I waited in the front of the line and watched as several online orders were plated before me, a customer in store 8/12 - 8mi 8/19 - 12mi 8/29 - 9mi - No one in front of me, waited at the front of the line as they scooped several online orders before serving me. read more

One of my favorite places to go just fell off the planet on service. Are you trying to lose customers? I always like adding pot stickers to my dinner, but no pot stickers and the pot sticker sauce is discontinued? What's next taco bell gonna stop selling tacos and their sauce packs? Then I noticed the kid was giving me a smaller portion, I thought maybe it was just a employee being stingy, but I was shocked when they put the third container it was 1/2 of the size then the last time I had ca me in, it literally had 5 orange chicken pieces, and this is the new size? Did all of the sizes shrink? We also liked many of the items in the past like Shanghai beef. But that spot was taken with plant based orange chicken, and they still call it orange chicken. Like, um, can you please change the name because chicken is chicken, they eat plants they arent plants. What is this all about, politics, climate change? Soon everything will be plant based? No it isnt customers asking for this junk, it is woke corporation focus groups. Expect to lose your customer base the more you head in this direction. Literally you were my favorite place to eat for a decade or better, now I can't even fathom how bad your decisions are. I was expecting my usual line being 5-6pm on friday, but there was literally 0 people in line, I couldn't believe it. Of course that was before I found all of these new menu items. It's convenient because I live near by. And I usually end up here rather than Ohana across the way because it tends to be a little cheaper. But the attitude here always feels spiritless and snide. This visit, I ordered broccoli beef a la cart. Partly my fault for not paying attention, but when opened the box to eat, there was only broccoli. Where's the beef? Like, you have to try to avoid the beef. Pretty often, the trash cans here will be stuffed full, but otherwise the place seems clean. Once, awhile back, I had to argue with the staff to get napkins. My kid and I were eating here, they gave us 1 napkin, for the both of us! When I asked for more napkins, they argued, "We already gave you a napkin!" I'm like, "To share?!" Gross. At least that's not a problem anymore because they brought back the self-serve napkin dispenser. But it still reflects on the kind of service you can expect from this location, unaccommodating at best and rude at worst. Knowing all that, I guess I still keep coming back, so 2 stars. read more

Definitely not the quality it used to be and now overpriced. Shrimp was rubbery, Kung pow was tasteless and the chow mein was terrible.
