This dealership, at first was a very rewarding experience for me--upon the initial correspondence with the first sales-associate that welcomed me and showed me the fine assortment of new-Nissan's on the lot. Then a week later, the day of the sale, the original salesperson had left and accepted a job with a competitor dealership. All went well regardless, as they stepped-up and handled the unpleasant confusion and had the paperwork ready when I arrived. Although, I was shuffled to 2 more sales associates (Kyle the sales manager & then, Mark the salesperson) after that, and things fell-into place but, one associate did not know (due to lack of communication) what was covered with me and what was not. It was an "OK experience" yet, I was still jostled and out-of-phase--not an excellent experience but, it was manageable.
Though the strange occurrence, I still was going to bring in 3 more family members in the near future but, what had happened on the 3rd day after the sale, really made me consider other options.
The paperwork and the minute details regarding the pricing, rebates, security plans, etc, etc, can really be overwhelming for a customer that doesn't deal with the "financial & business-end" of affairs consistently, unlike the associates there do daily. I realized after my 2nd call to the business manager, that I was at fault on my interpretation of the incentives and pricing issues. However, what anyone in the business of dealing with customers, should never do is tell a customer that they "ARE TOO BUSY TO DEAL WITH A CUSTOMER BECAUSE THEY HAVE MEETINGS, OTHER PEOPLE, PLANS, ETC." Even though on that day, there were no other people--that were kept waiting--while I took just 15 minutes of the business manager's time (which she admitted, as she said: "Normally Thursdays are so busy for me, as I have 'other customers,' business meetings, and other important business to tend to. Although today this is not the case, I am still a very important person and I am busy with many things to do." - Yeah, like hanging-out on the showroom floor and shooting BS, with the others of the dealership! I observed this many times, when I was there--as they don't get a whole lot of business--the reason my original sales associate left them for a competing dealership). So why the belittling comments to me, that I was taking her precious time? AND WHAT IS EVEN MORE OF A JOKE, ON THE DAY OF THE SALE, SHE TOLD ME TO CALL HER, FOR ANY QUESTIONS OR HELP--ANY TIME!
It turned me off and now, I am reluctant to bring in my family to purchase 3 new cars: a Versa Note, a Juke Midnight, and a Sentra. When the business manager made me feel as if I wasn't important after the sale, just to briefly go over the details [once again, simply 15 minutes of her time], so I could make notes for my reference, and thus understand and be at ease, I don't feel welcome there and I am (We are) considering another dealership. read more
