I took it to Lay's Transmission, and they made all the necessary adjustments. Now, when I put the car in neutral, the top works perfectly every time. As a classic car, it was stored in a safe, secure area and wasn't left outside overnight. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their transmission repaired. They do outstanding work at a fair price.

Simple maintenance, replace transmission screens and fluid and check the universal joints. Did not hear anything the next day until I finally called around 1:30 PM.I was told they were waiting for parts and they would call me the following day when ready. Which I knew was untrue because the owner himself told me that parts wouldn't be a problem and they probably had them on the shelf ? I was even told that (1) mechanic was on a vacation day and (1) mechanic called in sick. So I drove back to Toledo and got my truck. I missed (2) days of income and spent approximately $35 in gas - (2) vehicles to Toledo twice with absolutely nothing accomplished. Had (2) repairs done there over the years and thought they were legitimate? Obviously things have began deteriorating in this shop ? Absolutely would never even consider this business or recommend them to anyone. I refuse to do business with anyone or anyplace that can not tell the truth or actually keep their word !

I was treated amazingly, things were laid out upfront, and I felt like they have pride in their work and rightfully so. I really appreciate when someone is honest and blunt if they have to be right away. Give me the info and I'll make the best decision for me and that's what they did. But then they went above and beyond. They warned it could take a while... they warned it could be quite pricey if certain conditions existed. I agreed to all upfront because I wanted the job done right as my number one priority and I got the feeling these guys were going to do just that. Imagine my surprise when it was finished way quicker than I expected and for lowest end of the price range they gave me. It's been a few weeks and absolutely satisfied with the job done! Believe the reviews, very glad I was able to get the job done here.

Let me ASSURE YOU, they live up to their 5 star rating. The owner is very polite and enjoyably social while I waited for a ride to pick me up. In fact, he even offered to have the mechanic drive me back to my home. A couple hours later, he called with the results and estimate. Not only did he confirm what I needed, but he even went as far as to explaining what caused the damage (grounded wiring). As I said before, I already did my homework. I knew how much labor should cost, and I knew how much the part should cost. THEIR FINAL BILL was about $150 less than professional estimates. They also at no charge took care of the wiring problem, recharged the battery, and had the car finished within a couple of hours. FYI, The name "L & M Automotive" may be hard to see when driving by, but just look for the big Sunoco sign & gas station, and you'll have your car in good, affordable, dependable and friendly hands. From the owner's own words, "We won't charge you for something if it doesn't need fixed." -A great motto of integrity service.

As a fabricator/welder/engineer, I usually do all work myself; Unfortunately, I got hurt before this installation, which, oddly, turned out to be fortunate because, all of the meticulous attention to detail and perfection I always give, I found that and more in the staff at Diversified Off-Road - Upon my first communications with Seth, I could tell this place puts their customer's satisfaction first. Seth and I laid out a plan for the parts I had already ordered, my wife and I dropped off our vehicle and parts the same week to Seth and Kim (Kim is great also), and we got to observe some of the work being done. My wife got to be the first of us to drive the truck, and she had a smile on her face the entire way from Ohio back into Michigan: We are extremely pleased with our experience and the quality of work done - I was just under the truck all day yesterday doing rust prevention with my POR-15 products; I was looking at their work close-up, and, perfect, I couldn't be happier... Installing lifts and all of the other modifications are challenging and the parts cost quite a bit. Diversified Truck-Auto & Off-Road IS the best balance. As a business, I look at the years they have been providing quality work, and we need them to survive and thrive as they provide a livelihood for their staff, and they help to build our community; so when they are looking at the balance of work, they are doing their best on pricing, timing, and complete satisfaction (I can see that in the future plans we are discussing for Retrax Eq and a Bed-Slide, among other work). I had been inquiring with numerous other shops in the area and was planning to go to Integrity in Oklahoma believe it or not, until I found this shop so much closer to home. Diversified satisfied every single detail and desire I had for my installation.
