They are therefore incentivized to sell you the most expensive car that they can, and of course, to sell as many cars as possible. Most if not all of those dealerships even give their salespeople quotas to reach each month, which makes it more about quantity than quality of service. Hill's Auto, on the other hand, is owned and operated by Jeremy Hill, and his business model is to seek out the best cars that he can find and then do whatever repairs need to be done in order to make them dependable. Then he sells these cars to his customers at the best price that he can. No commissions. No middlemen. That's his name on the sign, and it's his reputation if he started selling people lemons. That's the difference between a salesperson and a small-business owner. Alhough, like most people, I've been conditioned over the years to never set foot on the lot of a used car dealership without being on my guard and skeptical of every claim (especially when it comes to undercoating, which is right up there with blinker fluid), Jeremy Hill has integrity. That's a rare quality in a used car dealer, but it's one that I think will help his business flourish. He sold me a good car at a good price. When the check engine light came on shortly after buying it, he had his mechanic fix it (with a better-than-stock part), simply because this did not fit with his business model of selling dependable used cars at prices that people can actually afford. There was a problem that his mechanics had overlooked, and so he made it right. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review, but I can now safely recommend Hill's Auto Sales to anyone who might be considering the purchase of a quality used car in the Bowling Green/Toledo area.

The first time I got it back, the rocker panel was not fixed (later they explained why, and that was fine). It was not properly detailed, windows not clean and the whole back of the car was never even vacuumed. My husband pointed this out to the service manager, who did not care, offer to fix it, etc. They also lost the driver's floormat (it was there when I dropped it off, but not when I picked it up). Service manager said they hang them up on the wall to clean them, then put it back in. Basically, you are SOL. Again, didn't care, very rude and condescending. So I'll be paying to replace that. Also, the driver's door panel around the handle was loose when we picked it up, my husband had to tighten the screw. That's when we noticed the over an inch long crack on the inside of the driver's door by the window. Service manager insisted they never touched that door, of course. Obviously, it appeared that someone perhaps removed that door panel to see how it went in on the passenger side and broke it putting it back together. When we brought the car back the second time, my husband pointed it out to the service manager. Nope, they never touched the door, was the only response we got. I have been in and around that car for 20 years, and there was never a crack there before it went to Thayer. So, I'll be paying to replace that, as well. Also, now the "service engine soon" light is on, so whatever they did during the process of the oil change, I'll be paying to fix that, too. So disgusted, and have never had a "service manager" treat me so poorly, both over the phone, and in person. Up until this all transpired, I would have given them a glowing review.

Extremely unprofessional for a dealership service center.

I would buy from them again.

I drove over 30 miles that day to look at vehicle. I noticed that there were several pieces of loose or missing trim in the rear and some areas that looked like had been repainted. I asked the sales representative if this 2014 Honda CR-V had been wrecked and he said yes of course it has been wrecked. I elected to not test drive or purchase this vehicle. I decided to call Halleck Auto Sales during the trip back home to let them know that I felt like the fact that this obviously wrecked and repaired vehicle should not have been described to me over the phone as indistinguishable from new. During this call, the Halleck sales representative called me and my mother every name under the sun and kept asking me to come back. When I asked "Why?", he told me that "he wanted to punch me in the face and knock my teeth out" REALLY - Because he misrepresented the condition of a car and I called him out over it? If you are considering purchasing a car from this dealership, please reconsider. There are dealers that are much more interested in giving you a fair deal for your hard earned money!

The company did take. care of the gas lid and the parking buttonbut weeks later the car went from automatic into manual as my husband is driving down the road and then the next week it does it for me, which made me feel very unsafe about this car as we were going to travel across the country with . Also the button broke for rolling the window up and down passenger side window!!!! REALLY! I Took it back to the and they said it was our fault and we must've accidentally touched a button that caused this problem from slipping from automatic to manual. When I purchased the vehicle for almost 8 grand as a used as is vehicle the dealership swore to the vehicle and its condition. Had minor issues but nothing noticeable and advertised it with their name and company in the pics with the vehicle. This dealership used their brand to sell a vehicle that is totalled and not not safe for anyone to drive. Could have brought my family down there to drive this vehicle back to Michigan and we could have all died or have been severely injured. The sales associates told me to contact them if anything immediate happens with the vehicle like a trans issue or anything as they would try to work with me and they care about their reputation. Well that was a lie! When I contacted them today (3 months later) they pretty much un so many words said in S.O.L stuck to the as is contract and told me they didn't even inspect the vehicle. Why would a well known dealership of this caliber ever sell any vehicle and not inspect it especially if it's of age as it could be a risk of safety to the customer. At the least inspect the vehicle for safety issues. Especially if they care about their brand and reputation. Why tell a customer to contact with any sudden issues and tell them that they would work with them if they won't? Especially a vehicle that was legally unsafe and unsafe for the road as it could cause injury or death if frame fails on hwy or major road. When I was told that they wouldn't do anything for me this was after the salesman told me to send pics of the frame as if they might consider some making this right. Why tell me that if you knew you were going to shut the door on this issue?! This dealership is a scam dealership and this warrants auto fraud regardless of the as is as this was a legal safety issue that goes beyond basic mechanics like a engine or trans. This will end up in court with my attorney. They are a rotten to the core company and need to be exposed for this type of business transaction
