We paid our bill around 8:05 PM and were repeatedly told the takeout food was "being boxed up," yet we did not actually receive it until after 8:40 PM. What made the situation even worse was the attitude from the staff. When my father pointed out that we had been there for over 2 hours waiting on food, the server actually chuckled at him instead of addressing the issue professionally. After speaking with the owner, Mike, he stated, "I will back up my employees," claimed we were incorrect, and said that as a chef, he personally trained his staff. Even after explaining how unacceptable the service was -- including the excessive wait times and cold food -- he continued to dismiss our concerns. When asked what could be done to make the situation right, we explained that after such poor service, cold food, and extremely long wait times, some type of refund would be appropriate considering we spent over $200 plus tip. His solution was to offer a free fettuccine. At that point, it was no longer about compensation, a refund, or a free meal -- it was about the complete disrespect my family received both during our visit last night and in the way we were treated by the owner afterward. His response was essentially, "You got your food, didn't you?" He also claimed this was the first complaint he had received since December. To add the restaurant was not busy once they set up our table. Overall, the experience was rude, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. I will absolutely be warning others about how poorly my family was treated.
