Avoid this place like the plague! We ordered one day in advance for a 4pm order the next day. 2 garlic breads and a large sandwich. Gave them a specific name. When we arrived, not only did they not have the order ready, but they didn't have it at all. They then accused us of not knowing our own names. Not sure what the girl's name was.....but she was rather large. Bad attitude also. Been to this place lots of times. Was a go to spot for garlic bread.....not anymore. Taking my business elsewhere. I have been wanting to stop by Pomodoro's for some time as I drive by there all the time. I stopped in today and ordered a roast beef sandwich. I ate one bite and through away the rest. The sandwich was terrible. The meat was like rubber and for $18 I couldn't have been more disappointed. Having eaten at Psghetti's more times than I can count, the vibe I get after going there is that they are very similar menu wise, but not even close on the quality of food. Extremely disappointed. I don't know how this place is even still in business. The pasta sauce is basically just water. The one time my family tried the sandwiches we were extremely ill, the only one who wasn't ill didn't eat the sandwich. The employees are hateful, but I don't blame them after hearing about the managers/owners. The one man I overheard screaming at the top of his lungs at these poor girls. The place does not have AC, these young girls look like they are going to pass out when it's 100 degrees outside! One girl actually did pass out!! Perfect spot for a quick, fresh take out meal. I ordered the 1/2 gallon ravioli in meat sauce, a chef salad, Italian sandwich and 2 orders of cheese garlic bread last night. The order was ready in about 20 min. No waiting, a quick in and out for pick up. The ravioli is really good- my husbands favorite. Large meat filled ravioli in a flavorful meat sauce. I wasn't always a fan of their salads but opted to try again last night and was pleasantly surprised by the upgrade. The lettuce blend was fresh and a mixtures of greens(it used to just be iceberg), hard boiled egg, tomatoes, ham, salami and the STL fave provel cheese. You know those places that you eat at and wonder how the hell are they still in business? Well this is one of those places. I was craving pasta and saw this place while driving by. When I walked I noticed the place had a funny smell to it, I can't explain the smell but it was bad. I walked up to the register and looked at the menu, they had three different pastas. I ordered the Mostaccioli Dinner which came with garlic bread and side salad. The pasta was drenched in marinara sauce, they didn't drain the pasta so there was lots of water at the bottom. The garlic bread soft and mushy, not crispy how it usually is. The salad consisted of cheap iceberg lettuce and one cherry tomato. Overall very bad italian food that you can make better at home with marinara sauce out of the jar. read more

I'm a sucker for the sweet bread and almost always get the buffalo chicken sandwich and cinnamon bread. I have sensitive teeth, so I really like that their bread is soft; even the garlic bread and cinnamon bread which are both toasted are soft and delicious. I honestly feel bad for people that eat this stuff and actually think it's good. Was visiting family and this is what they ordered as takeout. The garlic bread had no flavor. The sandwich was bland, which is probably a compliment because it implies it had some taste. They did order it plain but the meat and cheese were indistinguishable in flavor, the bread tasted like socks dipped in sugar. The raviolis tasted like they were made about 3 months before and and microwaved. The salad was more for rabbits than humans. Ponodoro's gets four star in my book for their sweet sandwich bread. Their Super Sub is really good with Ham, Roast Beef, and Salami. It also has lettuce and provolone cheese. Ok, Pomodoro's! Decent food for the money. Good portions to fill your belly but if you want a side it better be chips in a bag because it's all they have. I've only had the chicken parmigiano sandwich but I had it twice. Both times were different in levels of sauce but otherwise the same so consistency is there. My only gripe is that both times when I was the only person in the place they still called out my number and pretty much acted like I didn't exist after. It's pretty obvious the place is run mostly by high school kids, which is fine, but I'd be sure they're overly nice to customers. Both times friends stopped in as I was eating so all focus went on them. When I asked for a to go container it was like I was speaking another language altogether and perhaps I was even bothering them. Sorry but 2 times I felt the same vibe so I'm guessing is SOP. Again, the food is good but honestly not good enough to compensate for that feeling of unwelcoming. It sucks because I hate chains! read more

I was quite disappointed with the recent Pomodoros sub sandwiches I purchased. I have had their catered sandwiches in the past at company meetings, which prompted me to order some for an Easter get together. I placed a large order, 3 Family Meals in fact, which included mostaccoli, salad, garlic bread and a 16" sub sandwich. I also ordered an extra sub, bringing the sandwich total to 4. I was very happy with all of the food except for the sandwiches. They had one thin layer of ham, one thin layer of salami and one thin layer of cheese. No meats or cheese was overlapped or folded as I have had previously had and also saw in pictures on their website. The total for the whole order was over $100.00. While being the food organizer for our family's Easter event was fun, I was embarrassed. Luckily my sister had some baked ham that everyone put on their sandwich to "bulk" them up.
