We were excited to try Joe's for the first time on Valentine's Day. It was very easy to order online & everything was quick & on time. We picked it up, the workers were very nice & helpful. Pizza smelled great in car on way home, however, we were disappointed in the crust. It was kinda doughy & a tad too moist; it wasn't even a little bit crisp, like it should've been kept in oven a few minutes longer. Initially, I felt a little frustrated with the online ordering process and even tried to call a couple of times and it didn't ring and immediately said there was no voicemail setup which seemed odd. The second time trying to order online things went fine. It was nice to be able to see all the options instead of trying to talk through them on the phone. The thin crust pizza is not what most people around the St. Louis region would consider thin crust.m, it definitely eats more like a hand tossed. We really enjoyed our Hawaiian pizza with Canadian bacon, pineapple and onions, and our picky eater was pleasantly surprised with his sausage pizza. Our family does a Friday night pizza night and have found there are only fast food pizza options within just a few minutes drive of Pevely, so we were pretty pumped to see another option open up just down the road in Herky. The website made ordering pretty convenient though with all of the options it took us a few minutes to figure out exactly what we needed to order... but options are a good thing! Here is what you need to know that is not stated outright on pizza sizes: XL = 16", L= 14", M = 12", S = 10" Ordering around 1:30PM our pickup time was an about 30 minutes and the food was hot and ready on arrival, packaged wonderfully. On arrival the crew was friendly and the interior, though definitely set up for only takeout, was clean and welcoming. The owner and founding family member, Sanna, came out to introduce herself as well and thanked us for our visit. So, the Pizza is delicious. I'm not a Chicago style connoisseur by any stretch but it was very good, the crust was thick and chewy, definitely reminiscent of other Chicago style's I've tried. Joe's Pizza also offered a family special which included a 2 liter of soda, a 16" pizza and an option of breadsticks for about $30... and as a family of 7, soon to be 8, we really appreciated their consideration of us! Reminder that Joe's is CARRY OUT & DELIVERY ONLY. They even offer a drive thru option so you never have to leave your car. Great place if you want some amazing pizza in Jefferson County. I highly recommend the Joe's Deluxe with Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper, Green Olives, & Pepperoncinis. As for the ambiance there really isn't any since it is a small carry out only business. I will say that the staff is amazing and very friendly no matter if you're a first timer or already a regular like myself. read more

On the last order we had two salads and a sandwich nothing but great reviews for those orders. My wife got the Italian salad and said it is the best she has had. We had a XL half pepperoni, half hamburger. Regular Crust. It was pretty good. I was a little disappointed with the amount of toppings. The pep was enough, but very little hamburger. If I would change anything, it would just be more sauce. After looking at pictures of the thin crust, I want to try it next. Definitely want to add to our rotation. read more

My second order from Joe's was horrible!! The pizza crust was tough and hard to chew , there wasn't enough toppings to cover the pizza and those that were on it weren't dispersed evenly. I was so excited to share a pizza from Joe's with a friend but when it got here we ended making a salad and eating it. I had a really good first order from Joe's and told my friend how was good it was. I felt duped when we got this pizza it was so bad. I doubt I'll be trying Joe's for a third time due to the huge inconsistencies between the orders. I dont like just wasting money. Being from central Illinois originally, we love Joes. From the minute you walk in you are greeted with smiling faces and prompt service. We would travel across the river to their Columbia, IL location so are thrilled they are in Herky! You can't go wrong with their family special to feed everyone, and we normally upgrade to their Chicago style since that is our favorite. Was excited for a new pizza place near Pevely and was very happy with the food. Before moving to Missouri, our neighbor in Florida who lived half the year in Illinois had Chicago style pizza sent to us from a company to prepare us for the delicious Midwest style of pizza. Well, upon arrival Missouri, I was disappointed to not find any pizza places around here that have Chicago style...I'm very pleased that Joe's opened and that the food doesn't disappoint! I also really enjoyed the creamy Italian dressing with the house salad. We'll definitely be ordering from them again. read more

OMG these people are so nice. I don't like going to restaurants when they are getting ready to close because I know they are trying to go home too. But that didn't stop them. They opened up their doors and made us a pizza with salad and cheese bread. They even let us try the sauce because this was our first time. Everything was delish!!! read more

It was amazing. We ordered Chicago deep dish pizza and wings. We could not be happier. some of the other reviews talked about the price being too high. All I can say is they need to go back to the chain pizza outlets and stop leaving bad reviews to a real authentic Italian restaurant. Obviously, your family has a $5 pizza palate. We were excited to see a pizza place opening nearby, we usually go into Kirkwood or even Creve Coeur for pizza, long way from Pevely. Sadly, the pizza was bad. I haven't had bad pizza in forever, we get less good pizza but bad is un usual. Maybe it's because they just opened. The people were nice and they seemed proud of their thick crust. but, it was like cardboard soaked in spackle. Oh well. At least it was over priced. read more
