Visited on a whim because the name was so hilarious we just had to visit. While we waited in line, Pop came out to greet us with a big smile and a warm spirit and promptly left to go get us some crawfish samples and when I say samples, I mean a WHOLE BUNCH of crawfish. They were perfectly seasoned, with a slow burn that hits you in the back of the throat. So good! Now for the food. They serve everything Cajun, including Snoballs! We tried a mixed platter with shrimp and catfish, a po boy, and grilled shrimp platter. Everything was incredible! Well seasoned, huge portions, and left us wanting to come back. PSA: the entrance can be a little confusing, as some people come in from the opposite side of the highway and cut in the drive thru line. However, it looked like they were setting up some cones to direct traffic, so just keep an eye out for that. read more

I genuinely wish I didn't have to write this because my friends hyped this place up so much, and I went in so excited and ready to love it. I had been looking forward to trying the crawfish all day, thinking it was going to be one of those meals you don't stop thinking about after... but it ended up being the complete opposite. From the start, something just felt off. When I got my crawfish, there were so many random body parts mixed in that didn't even feel edible. It honestly made it hard to enjoy anything because I kept second-guessing what I was picking up. Instead of feeling like a good, flavorful boil, it felt like I was sorting through scraps. A lot of it just didn't seem worth eating, which was really disappointing considering how excited I was. The eggs were another letdown... they weren't even peeled, and when I tried to deal with them, they literally exploded and kind of freaked me out. It just added to the whole experience feeling messy in a bad way instead of the fun, messy you expect with crawfish. I will say, not everything was bad--the hot Cheetos and cheese were actually really good, and I appreciated the pickles being added. That was a nice touch and probably the only part of the meal I genuinely enjoyed. But overall, I just left feeling really sad and disappointed. I had such high expectations because of how much my friends talked this place up, and it just didn't live up to any of it. It felt like most of what I got was scraps and barely edible, and that's not what you expect when you're excited for a good crawfish meal. I really wanted to love it, and it sucks walking away feeling like this instead. I don't know if it was just a bad day or what, but it definitely wasn't the experience I was hoping for. read more

I'm glad there's a place like That One Place in Atascocita. This was my first time coming and I decided to eat outside. I liked that the outdoor setting was clean and they even had crawfish trays provided as well as a washing station when your done. On this visit I ordered 1 pound of crawfish and added in sausage, potatoes and corn, as well as a side garlic butter. I asked for mild crawfish and I enjoyed the subtle citrus flavor and the crawfish were humongous! I wish I had gotten pictures of them but I was too hungry. My only complaint is I could've used more juice in my big. I also ordered a snow cone, crawfish mac and cheese balls and boudin. While the snow cone was good, I did have a minor convenience with the mac balls but the manager promptly fixed the issue. I really enjoyed the boudin balls. Now on to the staff/management I liked how everyone was prompt and organized. I didn't have to wait long and the workers brought things out to you in a timely manner with positive attitudes. I would definitely come here again and try more menu items. read more

The BEST CRAWFISH ever!!!!! It tastes like New Orleans style crawfish where the seasoning is inside the crawfish not on the outside like other places. This place always has specials and is always packed. One down side is they open at 3p & The turkey necks are way too spicy they should really reconsider their recipe. Staff is very nice and manager always makes you feel so welcomed and satisfied. read more

The crawfish are huge! Larger than any other crawfish spots that I've been to this season. I wasn't a fan of the juice used to boil the crawfish. It had a very citrusy taste to it. That being said the price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was great.(on a nice day since this is outdoors) It took a little bit to get it out to us but the wait was worth it. First time here and I really wanted to try the crawfish and the fried Mac and cheese balls but I went about an hour/ hour and a half before close so they were unfortunately sold out of both so I definitely have to go back for that. Customer service was amazing the girl that took my order was so sweet. Great food and great staff. I ordered Mac & Cheese balls to go. Once I received them, I dropped everything I was carrying (the food, my phone, and unbeknownst to me my wallet). They quickly whipped me up a fresh order at no charge and I was on my way. Next morning , I was preparing for work when I couldn't find my wallet. I backtracked my steps from the previous day. When I made it here, they immediately recognized me and told me they were trying to contact me to return it. Losing a wallet is the worse. Snoballs were pretty good, my kids had the catfish (they said it was good), BUT being from LA, the "crawfish" garbage. I was so disappointed. Wanted my husband's opinion so ordered 1 PLAIN fried shrimp po-boy to go since he is allergic to mayonnaise, which is what a traditional remoulade is made with. Drove back to Sugarland and got home excited to have him try it but it was saturated with the tomato remoulade sauce. So much of it there was no way to get it off for him to safely eat the sandwich. Customer service was great. Had a mixup with the order and they fixed it right away. As for the food, it's not like home in Louisiana. I don't taste the Louisiana boil version seasoning at all. Not sure what they are using. Eggs still had the shell on them. Weird as I never seen that before. Corn and potatoes were not Louisiana seasoned. Turkey neck was ok. I'll try a snowball next time. We enjoy the food alright. I usually go for the fried fish basket. Just enough food, not too much. And it is tasty! Worth going for again and again when craving fried fish. The location is what it is, lol, and is tricky to get in and out when it's busy. The waitstaff might get confused with who is next and other customers might take advantage of that and cause a longer wait. Last visit, I asked for the snowball for my young grandson to have while we waited. Never got it! But I didn't leave without it so when the food came I had to speak up for it with little patience left. Lol, sorry!
