Seafood Combo 3 plus Cajun fries
    Nicole T.

For food places I'm mostly religious to I forget to write reviews for them. With Houston saturated with seafood joints and Asian Cajun flavors and also trendy places it's hard to pinpoint where to go. I'm not in this area often so it's hard to visit this place but, it's the best seafood with Asian Cajun flavors you can get that is (key word) consistent. Also my partner says she's been coming here for years with her family. It was very busy the night we came in, our fries came out cold, but our waitress rectified it immediately with no issues and although she was swamped with bigger tables she came to us and still helped us out of course we also were patient and understanding. The ambiance is how it usually is I love that the ac is cold so I'm not sweating eating my spicy boiled seafood. The flavors and sauce is very nice and in depth and some thing I enjoy is a thick sauce at that.

I was in town for work and knew I needed to get some crawfish. I popped in this place as it was near the airport. I was seated right away and my server was quick to take my order. He checked on me frequently to make sure I had everything I needed. I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish with the captain's sauce and spicy level. Absolutely amazing! So good, I ordered 3 more lbs. I was a little worried about the spice level as this can lead to rumbly tummies but not here! My entire GI system thanks you! Will be back again!

    With butter and flavor

I was torn between a 3 and 4 star on this visit. This was my second visit to Captain Crawfish. My first visit consisted of a po boy, with appetizers of dumplings which were very tasty and the fried calamari. Both were very good. For my second visit I tried something different and I went with the Seafood bag with 1lb crab, and 1 lb shrimp, and crawfish, one potato and one corn with medium heat and Louisiana Cajun flavor. First off, medium heat was no joke, my mouth was burning, and I'm not too certain if I didn't get the hot. Second, the flavor was hot, but flavorless. It literally was water and cajan seasoning no flavor at all. Okay, maybe I chose the wrong flavor, because those at my table had chose flavors like garlic butter and other things that all had butter and it was delicious 4 star. Yes they let me try theirs. Other than that, the shrimp were huge, nice sized crawfish, and a good size cluster of crab legs. Both of the appetizers of boudin balls and the fried calamari were both on point. Now when it comes to the drinks, let's just say you definitely get your money's worth. There is no holding back on the alcohol or watered down drinks at this establishment. The drinks are tasty but be warned with just a few sips in, you will feel it. The service was prompt and friendly while the atmosphere is casual and fun. This place is popular and will fill up quick, so get there early during peak hours.

There were about 12-14 picnic style tables to sit and eat at. We went on a Sunday around 3pm and the line was long when we arrived. The line did move at a decent pace. Good music was playing in the background. The crawfish were $9.99 a pound. We ordered 3 lbs. of crawfish, four potatoes, one egg, and one corn. The total was $37 dollars and some change. We received a buzzer and were told it would be a 10min wait. They don't sell drinks, so we walked next door to the convenience store as we waited. Some people even brought their own coolers with drinks. The food came within the time promised. The food was fresh and hot. They put all the sides at the bottom of the bag and then poured the seasoned crawfish on top. The sides were not boiled in seasoned water, but in plain water. The potatoes, egg, and corn had none of the seasoning flavor we chose. We chose the medium spice Kasian style seasoning flavor and it was very good with just enough spice. The crawfish were juicy. One downfall and the reason for the one star deduction, was they forget to give me the one corn we paid for. When I informed them they gave me a hard time. They told me to look at the bottom of the bag, which I did before approaching the counter and it wasn't there. Then they asked me what name did I place the order under to confirm if I actually paid for the corn. They finally decided to give me the corn in a single plastic bag. I didn't appreciate the hesitation and none friendly demeanor after I informed them of their error. Aside from that, people love this food truck. The line continued to grow as we sat and ate. The other food trucks didn't get much business while we were there. There was one food truck selling lemonade and patrons were going there to get drinks for their crawfish. I would recommend trying this place if you want some well seasoned crawfish.

My husband loves this location and has been coming here for quite some time. He will forever get the same items lol Here is our order: *Every Dang Thang Pasta + mushrooms - my husband go-to meal, this pasta is so flavorful and delicious. They do give you a hefty amount and don't skimp out on the meats. 10/10 *Fish Basket - this will now on be my go-to order, i have never had a fish basket taste this good! The fish was so flaky and juicy. It was honestly the best fried fish Ive had in my entire life 100/10 *Mardi Gras Potato - this was really good, it taste just like the every thang pasta, the only downside of this dish was that it came out a bit cold so 8/10 *Shrimp Po-Boy - my husband's friend ordered this and he said it was really good and he really enjoyed it 10/10 *Peach Cobbler - another one of my husbands go-tos, im not the biggest fan of hot fruit but this was really really good and it pairs nicely with the vanilla ice cream 10/10 *Lemon Drop Martinis - these were soooooo good, I've been to so many restaurants where they don't make it right, but here??? They made it with love. It was very much chefs kiss 1000/10 I will say the ambience of this place is a bit loud. They have a life person playing the saxophone, which is nice, but very very loud. Overall: we will be back! 10/10

Customer Feedback - 2nd Stop Houston Restaurant Week…read moreImpressive, Delicious & An AMAZING Staff From the moment we walked through the door, I knew this experience was about to be next‑level. Two attendants stood at the entrance with menus in hand , ready to greet us like we were boarding a luxury cruise ship . Behind the hostess stand, two additional staff members were directing seating with the precision of an airport runway crew. I was amazingly impressed. And then... ZOE ENTERED THE CHAT Let me tell you something, Zoe is THAT GIRL. When I say impressive, professional, knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming, I mean she checked every box and then created new boxes to check. Her menu knowledge was so sharp she could've taught a culinary masterclass . But the most jaw‑dropping part? Her attentiveness. Zoe served each table as if she were only working ONE table. She floated around the room with a smile , made spot‑on recommendations, and carried herself with the kind of grace that cannot be taught. As a professional leader myself, I know you cannot manufacture character; it has to be who you are at the heart . Zoe displayed the brand so beautifully that I genuinely believe she should be a TRAINER for new staff. She has that "born for hospitality" energy. We told her we were on a first date, and she made us feel like we were celebrating a honeymoon . My date talked highly of her too, and trust me, he doesn't compliment easily. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work Her teammate, Trevor, was just as attentive. Every time he delivered something, he did it with a smile and asked if we needed anything else. The teamwork between Zoe and Trevor was smoother than butter melting on hot bread . Safety First -- Even With Drinks I asked Zoe if the drinks were strong because I live in Katy and had a 45‑minute drive home. She immediately emphasized safety first, which I appreciated deeply. So it was Fresh Strawberry Lemonade for both me and my date, refreshing, sweet, and perfect. Now Let's Talk FOOD ‍ Appetizers: Shrimp Gumbo -- robust flavor, deep seasoning, bell peppers, plenty of shrimp, rice, and okra. It tasted like someone's Louisiana grandmother was in the kitchen stirring the pot with love. Caesar Salad -- hearts of romaine, generous cheese, light Caesar dressing, and fresh croutons that didn't overpower the salad. Clean, crisp, and delicious. Entrées: Fried Crawfish & Crawfish Étouffée over Texmati Rice Well‑seasoned, flavorful, and comforting. Every bite felt like a warm hug. Texas Redfish Ponchartrain Now THIS dish? Listen... It was full of robust flavors, topped with shrimp and crawfish, and draped in a brown butter sauce that tasted like it was blessed by angels . The broccolini? Garlic + butter = OH. MY. GOODNESS. I almost stood up and clapped. Dessert: Strawberry Cheesecake -- creamy, sweet, and refreshing. Key Lime Pie -- tart, smooth, and the perfect ending. Final Thoughts Zoe was the highlight of the entire experience, funny, warm, attentive, and naturally gifted at hospitality. Trevor was amazing. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was impressive. The service was unforgettable. This restaurant deserves a standing ovation And Zoe deserves a crown . I cannot WAIT to return.
