I've been ordering out from this place for a solid couple months. First time ordering, I got the fried calamari & crawfish tails. Calamari is a personal favorite but theirs was chewy as hell. BUT the captain sauce (mild) and crawfish tails saved the dish. The crawfish tails were fried to perfection and were also the reason I couldn't help but comeback for more. My usual then became the fried softshell crab & crawfish tails. It seemed like at first the portion size for the crawfish tails were pretty hefty but the more I came back, the smaller the portions got...Weird, right? I came on my birthday for a takeout order. I ordered 6lbs of crawfish, 3 potatoes, 3 corns, and 6 sausage. I arrive and the girl at the counter takes my order number. She brings out a bag and as I'm walking out the door I hear a man say "Excuse me ma'am." I turn and he asks "is this 6lbs of crawfish?" I said yes. He grabbed my bag and told me he wanted to make sure. He went to the back and I could hear him ask everyone was this 6lbs. The girl who I gave my order number to said yes and he opened it and said "this is only 3lbs." He brings me my bag and I take my now "correct" food and go home. Upon me arriving home and opening my food, I see only 2 soggy potatoes, 3 corns, and 6 sausages. The crawfish were too soft, we're full of eggs, as well as this greenish white thick substance. This substance caused me to throw out more than half of my crawfish. The spice level was good but the flavor wasn't rich. Overall I give it a 2/5 stars. read more

Tucked away in the south east corner of the intersection of Highway 59 and FM 1960 is literally a hidden gem call Captain crawfish seafood. This place is wonderful. Inside is clean with a nautical feel to it. The seafood and fish menu is considerable not to mention a very large bar menu. In an effort to sample as many of the seafood items as possible I picked for $12.99 a three seafood combo platter. I got fried shrimp, fried fish, and fried crawfish. They were served with either regular french fries or sweet potato fries. I must emphasize that even though I had four fried items: three seafood and the fries nothing was greasy. It was all hot and cooked to order. It's unfortunate that they are tucked away in such an obscure location. Here's a hint: look for Pancho's Mexican restaurant which is more prominently displayed on FM 1960 and a few doors down is this nice gym. They claim to still have live crawfish. Surprising this time of year. But I must say whatever kind of crawfish the other tables were eating they seemed to be enjoying themselves. read more

This reminds me of LA Crawfish in a way. We ordered the seafood fried rice which was very good. Also order the Cajun wings, Cajun fries and a pound in half of crawfish. The Cajun wings were okay, seemed like they just seasoned the outside. We originally ordered sweet potato fries but they weren't that good so we asked them to take them back and got the Cajun fries. I am glad to have found a comparable crawfish and seafood boil joint in Humble, as the ones in the inner Houston area. I've had the seafood boil package #1 and #3. You can mismatch selections of seafood to add in each boil from the list. You can double up on crawfish but not on shrimp or snow crab on these. We had the Captain's house blend sauce medium level spicy. It's a mix of butter, Cajun, and I believe other flavors like lemon pepper. In our boil we had snow crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, corn, potato, sausage, and then added mushrooms. Their drink menu, Royal King, is tropical and amazing, made the same way every time. The waiters are young guys, and all very nice. They are doing a good job despite being very busy. So shout out to Mustang, Mustaf and Preston. We also ordered fries and chicken strips or fried fish and shrimp. The batter is amazing on both, and we ended up ordering round two, despite being full. Price is not bad for being seafood. The fried plates average about $10-12, and the smallest package of boil is $19.99 and can range up of $40, but includes a variety. They had some type of sauce of no taste on them with no flavor or spice.... I ordered the captain blend, spicy I was so disappointed when I got home it had no spices at all you could tell that it wasn't any spices or flavor the color of the sauce on them was like melted butter and water with very little garlic my mouth was ready for some good tasting crawfish. It consisted of tiny pieces of crawfish, small crabs, and the fried shrimp were an ok size but extremely soggy. I also ordered 1 lb of shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes in the Captain's Sauce.
