Fried pork chops

This was our first visit. It's in a shopping plaza so there's parking and it's a large venue. We got there after 6 or 7 pm and we didn't have to wait. The air smells smoky but it's got a good vibe with music playing and the bar area fills up first. I had a lavender drink with gin that I really enjoyed but it was a little pricy at $16. I had the grilled chicken $18 with fried sweet potatoes and rice and beans. The container for the rice and beans was very hot to the touch. I wanted to transfer it to my main plate so I wouldn't have to reach over the rectangular plate. While the plate was pretty it does move a lot as you eat off it or cut your food. The food was filling. The rice had some crunchy bits but I know some people like that for the crunch. I got to try the fried pork chops. I liked the taste of the breading, it was flavorful. As we were leaving the lights dimmed. There's a stage which made me wonder if there was entertainment later. We didn't stay later to find out.

Salmon bites.

My husband and I went today for lunch. We almost walked out as soon as we walked in due to the stale smell of smoke. I don't fault the restaurant itself--it seems to be coming from the cigar lounge next door and has likely settled into the walls. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the salmon bites were very good and we really enjoyed the dipping sauce. The food presentation overall was nice, which is the main reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. Unfortunately, the fried catfish platter and Loaded Cajun Catfish were both disappointing. The fish had a strong earthy, fishy flavor. Catfish is typically mild and slightly sweet. That kind of taste usually indicates it wasn't fresh, wasn't cleaned properly, or was farmed in muddy water. I tried multiple times to eat it - especially given it was $28 - but just couldn't. My husband agreed it was strong, though he managed to finish his by covering it in ketchup. The macaroni and cheese looked amazing in the online photos, but it didn't live up to expectations. It was overly salty, and the Cajun cream sauce overpowered everything else. As for the ambiance, it wasn't what I expected. I understand it's a bar and grill, but it felt more like a club than a Cajun-style restaurant. Based on the name and menu, I was hoping for a New Orleans vibe with Cajun charm. Sadly, it missed the mark. I really wanted to love this place, but it just didn't deliver the experience or flavor I was hoping for.

Lemon Drop

I had buffalo wings, fries, and a lemon drop. Everything was good, hot and fresh. The waitress was very nice. We went in a Saturday. It was empty but we had fun.

First time at this establishment. Very welcoming atmosphere. I would return. Good music, not too loud. Price: comparable to other seafood restaurants Ambiance; Good music, nice lighting, comfortable seating. Lots of booth space. Love this Parking: Lot, it's a little different, but we found a nice spot. Service: friendly server, checked on us often.

Red Beans & Rice, flavorful

The service was great! Everyone was nice and friendly. The food ...I'll say 6/10. It was very flavourful but my pasta was dry I had to request more sauce then it was much better. The drink was delicious and strong 10/10. The music playlist was on point. Will return!

Boudin balls

The staff was very friendly upon entering. The ambiance was pretty. The food was so good. I had wings (not pictured) the salmon bites were so good even without the sauce. I had to get a to-go order. I'll definitely be back for happy hour.

Overpriced, service was weird and the place smelled like smoke. $100 for two people, at this place? I think not.

I heard about this place on social media and my dad and I had to t try it out. It is in a parking…read morelot along with 4 to 5 other food trucks. There were about 12-14 picnic style tables to sit and eat at. We went on a Sunday around 3pm and the line was long when we arrived. The line did move at a decent pace. Good music was playing in the background. The crawfish were $9.99 a pound. We ordered 3 lbs. of crawfish, four potatoes, one egg, and one corn. The total was $37 dollars and some change. We received a buzzer and were told it would be a 10min wait. They don't sell drinks, so we walked next door to the convenience store as we waited. Some people even brought their own coolers with drinks. The food came within the time promised. The food was fresh and hot. They put all the sides at the bottom of the bag and then poured the seasoned crawfish on top. The sides were not boiled in seasoned water, but in plain water. The potatoes, egg, and corn had none of the seasoning flavor we chose. We chose the medium spice Kasian style seasoning flavor and it was very good with just enough spice. The crawfish were juicy. One downfall and the reason for the one star deduction, was they forget to give me the one corn we paid for. When I informed them they gave me a hard time. They told me to look at the bottom of the bag, which I did before approaching the counter and it wasn't there. Then they asked me what name did I place the order under to confirm if I actually paid for the corn. They finally decided to give me the corn in a single plastic bag. I didn't appreciate the hesitation and none friendly demeanor after I informed them of their error. Aside from that, people love this food truck. The line continued to grow as we sat and ate. The other food trucks didn't get much business while we were there. There was one food truck selling lemonade and patrons were going there to get drinks for their crawfish. I would recommend trying this place if you want some well seasoned crawfish.

The onion rings are maybe the best in Houston. If you like onion rings you'll understand how hard it is to find good ones in this town. So many places use the crappy frozen ones. I've particularly enjoyed the fried catfish, blackened fish, green beans, and Boudin balls. If you like this style if food, try this place. You will not be disappointed.

First off the communication with the cashier was not good. He does not have good customer service…read more He basically stared me in my face and I said are you ready to take my order and he shook his head yeah. We got to do better. Anyway, I was able to get past the communication barrier in order a two piece fish two piece shrimp meal with two sides with one side being the hush puppies and the other is fries. The fish seemed like it was seasoned pretty good. I was only able to taste a piece of it and also the shrimp and of course I did taste the fries. They were OK, but not as good as five guys when the cashier offered condiments. I noticed that he only gave one half of a container of tartar sauce . That's not good because how come I'm getting a full container of hot sauce, but not a full container of tartar sauce, make it make sense. They did give me some plasticware which I'm not using with this meal. Last but not least I tried the strawberry banana pudding. It was a 3 out of five. It's pudding I mean, what can you expect.
