    Shrimp & avocado tacos

We took our granddaughter out to lunch for her 12th birthday. She picked Mexican so we stopped at La Villa. We were not disappointed!! The food was out of this world and the service was terrific!! We highly recommend going there and will go back again - soon!!!!! PS - although the shrimp tacos were delicious- make sure you get the deep fried avocado and chicken!!!! OMG! To die for!!!!!!!

Stopped in for lunch at this cute Mexican restaurant. Our server was super sweet and took our order immediately. We ordered some drinks and we both enjoyed them. My husband is obsessed with Margaritas and beer so why not order a margarita with a beer? I got my go to drink the Mangonada which was delish! Chips and warm salsa were a great start and our food was brought to us quickly. Husband ordered a burrito and I had the fajitas. Everything was super fresh and tasty. We will definitely be returning because the menu is amazing.

This was the Chimichanga.... It was so good that I forgot to take a picture before eating it! 10/10 recommend.

Wonderful food! First time trying and will be back. I ordered a beef burrito and was smothered and covered. Amazing.

    Beef Enchiladas

Read the reviews and was 50/50 initially. Place was pretty empty for a Taco Tuesday type night. Cold and just not warming on the inside, felt cheap. Salsa was watery and chips bland. Lemonade watered down from the machine. Ordered ground beef enchiladas and the big carrots cut in it seemed abnormal. I love Tex-Mex, by the way, but this place is not it. Hardly any flavoring/seasoning. It's hard to find a good spot in this area and what I read from the reviews, y'all must don't know any better. These Humble places are just mediocre. We have been trying for two years living here and just have to drive to find good food! Lord! Only gave it 2 stars because the waiters were good. Otherwise, nope.

About five minutes before we passed Sabino's, I opened the app and saw the reviews. Great timing! We entered, and there was a customer standing in the front. We asked her if Sabino's was good and she began to rave about their food! She was right! Firstly, the service was extraordinary. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. We ordered mixed fajitas for two. Yummy! Hot, seasoned well, and the tortillas...amazing. The guacamole was SO GOOD, I thought about ordering some to take home, but we live two hours away. We have a ton of leftovers, which I'm probably going to break out around midnight. Don't sleep on this place! We'll be back!

We ordered pupusas, barbacoa, and a burrito. The pupusas were AMAZING (we got the kids' one), and they came with rice and beans that were also really good. The barbacoa came with two tortillas and was flavorful without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated since I'm not a fan of sweet barbacoa. My mom had the burrito and felt it could've had more flavor, but overall the food was still solid. The staff was super friendly, the bathrooms were clean and nice, and it was a comfortable spot to grab lunch. Definitely a great place to stop if you're hungry and want a satisfying, casual meal. The pupusa is one of the largest I have gotten, and the consistency and flavor were exactly the way I remember them from my time in El Salvador; authentic and delicious. Cost was $20 total, but would easily have fed two, and I have enough leftover for lunch, tomorrow, so a good value, for good food! Don't miss this spot; they have juices, and bottled and canned drinks, too. Will surely be back to enjoy more good food from their menu!

Serving tacos in the Humble TX area since 2022, Nando's Tacos (not to be confused with the chicken…read morerestaurant) serves up delicious full size tacos. My brother and I stopped in for carryout breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. Alas, they didn't have brisket breakfast tacos, but had some good alternatives. Their flour tortilla is the choice here, and I believe it is Sonoran style: good enough to just eat by itself. My absolute favorite was the barbacoa ($3.25), very tender stewed beef with added onion and cilantro...not meant to be a breakfast taco I think. The other 3 tacos I tried did have egg. The potato & egg ($3.25) had big chunks of potato and plenty of egg: very filling not particularly tasty. The chorizo and egg ($3.25) was was prepared together, with the small chorizo pieces mixed in with the egg. And the fajita and egg ($4.79) used two slices of skirt steak flavored with fajita flavoring...for my preference, works better in skillet fajitas than in a breakfast taco. They also have menudo on the weekends, and both their corn and flour tortillas are homemade. As mentioned before, the flour tortillas are really good, and the barbacoa is definitely worth a visit.

Between the family, we tried the barbacoa, chicharron, chicken fajita, and a fajita quesadilla. The fresh homemade tortillas really make a difference in every bite. I'd read reviews mentioning they were huge, but honestly, I didn't find them particularly oversized. Not a complaint at all, just not what I expected going in! My daughter loved her quesadilla and especially the cheese pull, which passed her personal "cheese test" with flying colors. The chicharron in salsa verde was a standout for me, perfectly seasoned, with no need for extra salt or salsa. Personally, I'd ask for the onion to be chopped just a bit smaller but that really is the only "complaint" I have. I also ordered the charro beans based on earlier reviews, and they were every bit as flavorful as promised. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh-squeezed orange juice on our next visit. The staff was wonderfully welcoming from start to finish, and my husband, who went in with low expectations, was blown away by how delicious everything was. We're both so glad we gave this place a try. If you're looking for comforting, well-seasoned food in a warm, inviting setting, Nando's Tacos is absolutely worth the visit.
