Went to lunch at Bocca with a group of coworkers. We had the place to ourselves. They are not busy on Friday afternoons. The guys already ordered apps of garlic bread and meatballs. Excellent choice. We devoured the garlic bread. The meatballs were good too, very cheesy and excellent on top of the garlic bread. My entree was the shrimp fettuccine and it was a huge portion which made me happy. I had to wrap half of it to go. Ordered another loaf of garlic bread because it didn't come with it. I realized later that the garlic bread was oozing with yummy garlic butter which explains the crust. Omg excellent everything. They had a variety of Italian dishes, sandwiches and soups for lunch too.
Every time I visit, I found that the food, service, and atmosphere good. Definitely order the bread with butter in the appetizer menu. You won't regret it! If it's during the afternoon, avoid the window area as one side of the table has a hard time seeing from the sun and it gets a bit warm. I always go for the chicken Marsala. It's made very well! My coworker got the mac n cheese and I got to try it. Although it sat heavy, it was good! If you can, try to find street parking without a meter. Why pay when there is free parking.
Such a gem tucked away off West lake Houston parkway! Went here for an event but left feeling excited to return with my family. Beautiful design and setting, great food and service. And how about to top it all off, dining in a restaurant with meals prepared by a celebrity "food network chopped champion" chef Justin Turner! As an Italian cuisine lover I thoroughly enjoyed all the meals I had especially that homemade spicy pesto pasta to die for. The meatballs and the artichoke dip were also great and freshly made. My only thing for the lobster ravioli it needed a little pinch of salt to bring out the flavors. But overall everything else was great. The cucumber mint lemon drop was great and for coffee lovers they have a delicious espresso martini. ( even as a non coffee drinker like myself) Can't wait to go back for happy hour.
We came here for happy hour and were impressed with the food, drinks, and service. I had the Italian margarita and it was one of the best margaritas I have had. We ordered the meatballs and garlic bread from the happy hour menu and the carnivore pizza from the regular dinner menu. All of the food was hot and tasty. My only minor complaint was the pizza crust was not as crispy as I would have liked. I would definitely come back for happy hour, dinner, or brunch.
A great place to come for happy hour. They change the cocktail menu every now and then and keep some year round. I love the mojito and cucumber lemon drop. The bartenders are great and Trent always remembers our drink of choice and is an excellent conversationalist. Today I tried the burger which was awesome, had the right amount of pickles! I also got the sweet potato tots which were great. I also tried the fried onion rings with the avocado ranch jalapeno sauce. I don't like spicy and the sauce was nice, not spicy but flavorful.
Decided to update my review! This continues to be one of the spots I visit every few months. Since my last review, the menu has shrunk a bit, and the prices have increased a bit, which is a shame, but the food is still remains stand out delicious. Some of their previous items that were really tasty like the arancini balls, fritos mistos, and the wedding soup are now off the menu. Luckily, you can still order the chicken piccata for dinner even though it's only on the lunch menu, and they will gladly make it for you. Yay! On my last visit, I ordered their special, a Texas redfish with red pepper couli, spinach risotto, and basil. My oh my, it was perfectly cooked and delicious, with a nice crispiness towards the tail. I love how they don't skimp on the portion size here, because I definitely had leftovers! The lemon drop cocktail I had was also delicious and perfectly balanced. The cocktails here are always fabulous, so don't miss out! They do offer a small selection of wines by the glass and a larger selection by the bottle. Service here continues to be on the slower side, so don't visit here if you're in a big rush... or better yet, just grab a seat at the bar. The front of house staff is always welcoming and pleasant. Always a great spot for a nice date night or otherwise. It's never super crowded and noisy, and the natural lighting through the large wall of windows is quite inviting. Will have to try the pasta or pizza one of these days! They look great!
This was a great place to stop for happy hour bites. The kettle chips were so flavorful and crunchy. I also ordered the spicy pesto pasta and limoncello crème brûlée and forgot to take pictures. Presentation was nice and the food was delish. Nice portions for leftovers. Staff were very nice and attentive. Cute modern inside with a decent sized bar they had patio seating outside.
Food- ordered a medium cooked NY STRIP MARSALA $48.00 and what I was served was a dry & hard medium steak. It was flavorful but I only had the strength to hack away and chew at about a third of the way before giving up and going for the additional side dish I ordered. The $11.00 Brussels sprouts were salty. I could tell they would be good if they weren't as salty as they had been prepared. Maybe it was a bad batch. I also ordered a prosecco $13.00 Service- subpar. I had to ask for my steak knife to be brought to me. The rule of thumb is to always bring a steak knife whenever you enter a steak order into the system. I keep hearing about southern hospitality, but it's never in the room. Restaurants in this city almost always miss the mark. You can get better hospitality from a Dutch bros coffee drive thru. This bar team gave no personality and barely any warmth. I went solo and sat at the bar, so maybe this played a major factor in my experience. Bartenders might have been tired by the time I showed up. Maybe they had a long shift. I would've tipped more than 15% to the server if they had been more proactive about me as a guest. **Note to management- please do re-train your front & back of house team.** Ambiance- aesthetically pleasing, lighting in the dining area was dim and intimate the way I'd like in a restaurant. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The ambiance was the only thing that delivered.

The calamari for appetizer is delicious and it is served with two sauces, our server Victoria was the best! Always smiling, always on the lookout if we needed something, so helpful. If you come here ask for Victoria, she is the sweetest! Lovely and calm atmosphere! Definitely coming back!
The chicken club that is served here is absolutely the best in Houston. The atmosphere is welcoming and highly recommended. If you want to impress someone or just want to have a good meal this is the place.
My husband and I dropped into this beautiful restaurant for a little date night. The place is very nice and the food was so delicious! We had one of the specials which was an Elote and shrimp pizza with bacon. Let me tell you this pizza was absolutely amazing, it was crispy and so tasty!! We hope they keep it on the menu so we can come back and have it again!! The Brussels were so delicious as well very yummy! I had a cucumber lemon drop martini and my husband had a yellow rose beer which he loved. We are definitely coming back and thankful they are in Humble!!
Tried Boca for the first time. We shared the 16-inch Carnivore pizza. It was basically a puddle of grease with sauce and toppings. I had to ask for napkins to blot the grease. Server offered to remake it, but we declined. It just would've been greasy again. Excessive grease aside, it tasted pretty good.

We loved this place from the first time we went there. We have taken friends and had great experience. On our fifth visit we had a hiccup. My food was a mess and the service was bad. I left a bad review. The owner contacted me immediately. He offered to make it a better experience. I love to say that we have returned four more times and everything was perfect. Perfect!!' This last time we had Darly take care of us. She was so attentive, but did not hover. She changed our water for cold water the whole time. Every dish came out piping hot. My husband got the red snapper with spinach risotto. I get bucatini with marinara sauce. I asked for side of alla vodka sauce. No problem. It was so delicious that I ate every last bite. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip with hand cut chips. We , also, started with the best garlic bread with soft ricotta. It is all perfect. The manager was delightful. She remembered my wonderful experience and then remembered hearing about my bad experience. She was not there and none of the confusion would have happened. Her name is Victoria. She came to table and apologized. We told her no worries that we have be back many times. We intend to visit this neighborhood gem many times. Outstanding smashed burgers until three and absolutely fantastic Italian food after 3:00. I don't want to lose our little table, so everyone come on in but we sit along wall, in back, left. Love the ambiance. As soon as you walk in expect to be greeted because they are giving very positive energy. Imagine yourself sipping on a Cucumber Mint Lemon Drop at the bar with April and relaxing music. Shout out to April for suggesting delicious dinner and drink options that don't disappoint. Boccoa is a quaint little establishment on the East Side. It was a total Vibe....to be honest (just needed music). I was introduced to this spot by a co-worker because she knows I like fancy food. That said, I look forward to my next venture and deep dive into some of their other Italian delicacies listed. Limited menu but that is what makes this spot so intriguing. Customer service was spot on. The manager/Chef was a statuesque hospitable Teddy Bear (appreciate the extra jam Man!). I highly recommend you all stop by because there is no GOOD eateries/restaurants on the East Side....and none with panache like this place. Trust me...Boccoa is a diamond in the ruff or is it bluff? Either way, stop by! Ohhhh, concerning the cheese board. That is NOT an Egg. It's house made fresh mozzarella with Extra Virgin Olive Oil on top. The Bomb! read more

I was excited to try this restaurant because it looked like it would be a good date spot for my husband and I. Overall, it was ok. I don't think I will be coming back. The food is overpriced and it was really not that good. Brussel sprouts were bitter from being burnt and the crab cake was mostly filler without barely any crab. read more

Visited this restaurant for happy hour and dinner with my brother! Located in North Houston adjacent to Humble, it is located in a new (to me) area that offers a mixed-use development feel. The reasturant offered lots of natural light from its windows. Easy to find with GPS and there was plently free street parking on my weeknight visit! Happy hour is from 3-6 at the time of this review and it offers beer, cocktails, wine, and bar bites. We ordered calamari, meatballs, sangria, and a rum old fashioned. The calamari was a bit salty for my taste but I enjoyed the meatballs! My sangria was refreshing. The old fashioned was strong. For dinner we tried the lobster ravioli and I had the salmon piccata with brussel sprouts as my side. I think the portions were nicely sized and the flavors were on point for me. My favorite part of the dining experience was the service! Everyone was so nice! We sat at the bar and the ladies and one gentleman working were so pleasant and kind. Lots of space and very bright/ inviting. I visited during their weekday lunch and was happy with the variety of lunch items that were available. Their lunch sized portions were pretty good. Everything tasted great and our server took good care of us! read more

I come here frequently. My only complaint is that they change the menu way too often. I will fall in love with a dish only for it to disappear shortly after. The food quality is pretty consistent though. Which is surprising despite how often their menu changes. That said, I've never not enjoyed my meal. We got the garlic bread with ricotta to start, and it is by far my favorite. This last time I was desperate to have a spicy red sauce pasta that they had awhile ago, that has been discontinued but , the waiter told the kitchen to make my spaghetti spicy. I enjoyed it however it doesn't replace the dish they use to have. We got the chicken piccata which has the perfect amount of capers. Their summer cocktails are really good! I typically come here with friends to drink because there are decently priced and the whole place is a vibe. Service is always top notch. I've never had an issue. read more

This was our first visit to Bocca. The atmosphere is great. We sat outside and it was a perfect setting for a quiet dinner. Our server Kristal was awesome. We shared two apps- garlic bread which was delicious- the ricotta didn't add much to it however (BTW I agree with a lot of the other reviewers that it seems odd to pay for bread service but it's whatever) and the spinach and artichoke dip with kettle chips- that was great. The service was attentive without hovering and the timing of the dishes was relaxed enough for a leisurely meal but not too slow. For our mains I had the hangar steak and potatoes. For the price of over $45 I did expect more than 5 small slices of steak however given the current market price- understandable to a point. However the meat just lacked flavor and was a disappointment. The fondant potatoes however were nothing short of amazing. My BF had the short rib (delicious) and risotto (not spectacular but good) and we shared the Brussel sprouts with pancetta which were crispy and delightful ..absolutely perfect. The tab before tip was right around $187 (this included 2 or 3 glasses of wine). Was it worth it for a regular midweek meal ? Debatable. However, in combination with the beautiful atmosphere and spot on service..I can definitely see this being added to our regular dining rotation. It's a welcome change from all the stale and boring restaurants in our local area. read more

This is a great place to eat. The decor and ambiance is perfect for date night or girls night. The service is great! The waiters are very attentive and constantly checking on you and refill your drinks without asking. The menu is a decent size. The two times I have gone, I have tried two of their salmon dishes. My favorite dish is the Salmon Piccata. I always order a side of Brussel sprouts. My friend had the Lobster Ravioli which she thoroughly enjoyed. If you'd like a local date night or lunch this place I highly recommend. read more

This is the easiest 5 stars I've ever written. Our waitress, Autumn told us right off the bat that she was pretty new but no need to worry as she would do her best to take care of us. She was easily one of the best servers. Many of you know my boss has a lot of food sensitivities so ordering can be challenging. She was very kind and patient. The Malfy 75 was perfection. Light and lemony without being too tart or too sweet. Highly recommend. My boss ordered the Octopus as a starter and I had several bites and it was delicious. The spicy Calabrian Chili aioli for dipping was amazing. It had a spicy kick but oh so flavorful. For me I started with the crab bisque and there was A LOT OF crab meat. Very rich and creamy. My main was everything. Lobster Ravioli with lump crab meat and grilled shrimp. Highly recommend. It was delicious. A lot of people at our table ordered and seemed to enjoy the salmon Tuscano. This place is located in a very cute little park area. Great for walking off an exquisite meal (as long as it isn't pouring rain like last night) I hope this place knows what a gem Autumn is and values her. My only complaint is I didn't save room for the Lemoncello Creme Brule. read more
