I left a bad review. The owner contacted me immediately. He offered to make it a better experience. I love to say that we have returned four more times and everything was perfect. Perfect!!' This last time we had Darly take care of us. She was so attentive, but did not hover. She changed our water for cold water the whole time. Every dish came out piping hot. My husband got the red snapper with spinach risotto. I get bucatini with marinara sauce. I asked for side of alla vodka sauce. No problem. It was so delicious that I ate every last bite. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip with hand cut chips. We , also, started with the best garlic bread with soft ricotta. It is all perfect. The manager was delightful. She remembered my wonderful experience and then remembered hearing about my bad experience. She was not there and none of the confusion would have happened. Her name is Victoria. She came to table and apologized. We told her no worries that we have be back many times. We intend to visit this neighborhood gem many times. Went to lunch at Bocca with a group of coworkers. We had the place to ourselves. They are not busy on Friday afternoons. The guys already ordered apps of garlic bread and meatballs. Excellent choice. We devoured the garlic bread. The meatballs were good too, very cheesy and excellent on top of the garlic bread. My entree was the shrimp fettuccine and it was a huge portion which made me happy. I had to wrap half of it to go. Ordered another loaf of garlic bread because it didn't come with it. I realized later that the garlic bread was oozing with yummy garlic butter which explains the crust. Omg excellent everything. Such a gem tucked away off West lake Houston parkway! Went here for an event but left feeling excited to return with my family. Beautiful design and setting, great food and service. And how about to top it all off, dining in a restaurant with meals prepared by a celebrity "food network chopped champion" chef Justin Turner! As an Italian cuisine lover I thoroughly enjoyed all the meals I had especially that homemade spicy pesto pasta to die for. The meatballs and the artichoke dip were also great and freshly made. My only thing for the lobster ravioli it needed a little pinch of salt to bring out the flavors. But overall everything else was great. Every time I visit, I found that the food, service, and atmosphere good. Definitely order the bread with butter in the appetizer menu. You won't regret it! If it's during the afternoon, avoid the window area as one side of the table has a hard time seeing from the sun and it gets a bit warm. I always go for the chicken Marsala. It's made very well! A great place to come for happy hour. They change the cocktail menu every now and then and keep some year round. I love the mojito and cucumber lemon drop. The bartenders are great and Trent always remembers our drink of choice and is an excellent conversationalist. Today I tried the burger which was awesome, had the right amount of pickles! Decided to update my review! This continues to be one of the spots I visit every few months. Since my last review, the menu has shrunk a bit, and the prices have increased a bit, which is a shame, but the food is still remains stand out delicious. Some of their previous items that were really tasty like the arancini balls, fritos mistos, and the wedding soup are now off the menu. Luckily, you can still order the chicken piccata for dinner even though it's only on the lunch menu, and they will gladly make it for you. Yay! On my last visit, I ordered their special, a Texas redfish with red pepper couli, spinach risotto, and basil. My oh my, it was perfectly cooked and delicious, with a nice crispiness towards the tail. I love how they don't skimp on the portion size here, because I definitely had leftovers! The lemon drop cocktail I had was also delicious and perfectly balanced. The cocktails here are always fabulous, so don't miss out! They do offer a small selection of wines by the glass and a larger selection by the bottle. Service here continues to be on the slower side, so don't visit here if you're in a big rush... or better yet, just grab a seat at the bar. The front of house staff is always welcoming and pleasant. Always a great spot for a nice date night or otherwise. It's never super crowded and noisy, and the natural lighting through the large wall of windows is quite inviting. My family and I always enjoy dining here. It's truly the best upscale restaurant in the Humble area. The service is consistently attentive and friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and ambiance are beautiful and give you the feel of a fine dining restaurant in Downtown Houston. It was flavorful but I only had the strength to hack away and chew at about a third of the way before giving up and going for the additional side dish I ordered. The $11.00 Brussels sprouts were salty. I could tell they would be good if they weren't as salty as they had been prepared. Maybe it was a bad batch. I also ordered a prosecco $13.00 Service- subpar. I had to ask for my steak knife to be brought to me. The rule of thumb is to always bring a steak knife whenever you enter a steak order into the system. I keep hearing about southern hospitality, but it's never in the room. Restaurants in this city almost always miss the mark. You can get better hospitality from a Dutch bros coffee drive thru. This bar team gave no personality and barely any warmth. I went solo and sat at the bar, so maybe this played a major factor in my experience. Bartenders might have been tired by the time I showed up. Maybe they had a long shift. I would've tipped more than 15% to the server if they had been more proactive about me as a guest. **Note to management- please do re-train your front & back of house team.** Ambiance- aesthetically pleasing, lighting in the dining area was dim and intimate the way I'd like in a restaurant. That type of music is more appropriate for a lounge, bar, not an upscale fine dining restaurant. Definitely ruined my mood. It looks like the staff played whatever they wanted to hear. The chicken piccata and the spinach artichoke dip were delicious! I was impressed with the menu, but was expecting more typical Italian dishes and a bigger selection. The service was attentive and friendly, and the restaurant itself is very sleek and modern in the design. The location is very surprising; you would never think there is restaurant behind an apartment complex- I feel that more will be built around it soon. There is a parking garage behind the restaurant which is convenient, and the parking fees are very low- I think I paid 1$ to park ! Tried Boca for the first time. We shared the 16-inch Carnivore pizza. It was basically a puddle of grease with sauce and toppings. I had to ask for napkins to blot the grease. Boccoa is a quaint little establishment on the East Side. It was a total Vibe....to be honest (just needed music). I was introduced to this spot by a co-worker because she knows I like fancy food. Visited this restaurant for happy hour and dinner with my brother! Located in North Houston adjacent to Humble, it is located in a new (to me) area that offers a mixed-use development feel. The reasturant offered lots of natural light from its windows. Easy to find with GPS and there was plently free street parking on my weeknight visit! Happy hour is from 3-6 at the time of this review and it offers beer, cocktails, wine, and bar bites. We ordered calamari, meatballs, sangria, and a rum old fashioned. The calamari was a bit salty for my taste but I enjoyed the meatballs! My sangria was refreshing. The old fashioned was strong. For dinner we tried the lobster ravioli and I had the salmon piccata with brussel sprouts as my side. I think the portions were nicely sized and the flavors were on point for me. My favorite part of the dining experience was the service! Everyone was so nice! We sat at the bar and the ladies and one gentleman working were so pleasant and kind. This was our first visit to Bocca. The atmosphere is great. We sat outside and it was a perfect setting for a quiet dinner. Our server Kristal was awesome. We shared two apps- garlic bread which was delicious- the ricotta didn't add much to it however (BTW I agree with a lot of the other reviewers that it seems odd to pay for bread service but it's whatever) and the spinach and artichoke dip with kettle chips- that was great. The service was attentive without hovering and the timing of the dishes was relaxed enough for a leisurely meal but not too slow. For our mains I had the hangar steak and potatoes. For the price of over $45 I did expect more than 5 small slices of steak however given the current market price- understandable to a point. However the meat just lacked flavor and was a disappointment. The fondant potatoes however were nothing short of amazing. My BF had the short rib (delicious) and risotto (not spectacular but good) and we shared the Brussel sprouts with pancetta which were crispy and delightful ..absolutely perfect. The tab before tip was right around $187 (this included 2 or 3 glasses of wine). Was it worth it for a regular midweek meal ? Debatable. However, in combination with the beautiful atmosphere and spot on service..I can definitely see this being added to our regular dining rotation. It's a welcome change from all the stale and boring restaurants in our local area. read more

When friends asked us to go with them to the Bocca Italian Kitchen, we were really excited. We had heard that they served amazing food and had a great Chef. We made arrangements to go and to avoid the crowd we arrived at about 12 Noon. I think they had just opened because there were hardly any others there. The Restaurant is decorated very nicely and is open so you don't feel crowded. We were seated at a very table with a lovely love seat type chair. We had already looked at the menu on the Internet so everyone pretty much knew what they wanted to order. Our waitress was extremely friendly and patient with us deciding on our selections because unknown to us, what two in our group wanted was only on the Dinner Menu and they were serving Brunch when we came. Our Waitress saw that there was a lot disappointment about the item they wanted not being on the menu we were given so she said she would go to the kitchen and ask if it was ok to order the item from the Dinner Menu and they agreed to. Our server was prompt with our drinks and left a extra water bottle on the table. Our appetizers came out fairly quickly and we enjoyed everything. The Bread we ordered was extremely good and so was the Spinach Dip my friend ordered. The two gentlemen ordered the Osso-Bucco, my friend ordered the Spinach Dip and a Salad and I ordered the Lobster Ravioli, which in previous reviews had rated it very highly. The plating made our food look extra good when it came and the portions were more then enough. The men both found that Osso-Bucco was nice and tender but much to salty and could only eat part of it. My plate of Lobster Ravioli also had some shrimp added to the Alfredo Sauce which made the plate look more interesting. After my first bite I knew I would only be able to eat a few of the Ravioli because they were to salty as well. I'm not sure why the other reviews found then Lobster Ravioli so outstanding because to me they tasted the same as what I alway buy at the store...there was no difference between the taste. I could only eat a small portion of the Ravioli and brought the rest home. I had also ordered the Shrimp Scampi as a "take out". I'm on a quest to find the best Shrimp Scampi. The first time I had it was at Marsala's Restaurant and it was divine . My friend had also ordered and she also had never had it before. She was amazed at how delicious it was.. Several weeks later my husband and I went back so I could have it again and it was just ok but not something I would go out of my way to have. Since the first time I had is I've been looking a restaurant that made it as good as the first time I had it and when I saw it on the Menu I asked for an order to go. Later when we got home I was still hungry and decided to try the Shrimp Scampi. I was disappointed to find that it didn't come with Angel Hair as it did in the other Restaurants. The sauce didn't look like the sauce other restaurants used so I decide to take a small taste to see what it tasted like and if I even wanted to eat it. I put just a dab on a teaspoon, put it in my mouth and instantly headed to the sink and turned on the water. It was like the sauces was nothing but PEPPER! I rinsed my mouth several times with water and that didn't help. It seemed I must've swallowed some of the sauce because my throat felt like it was on fire! I recalled someone said to eat a piece of bread to relieve burning in the mouth. It relieved it somewhat but the burning sensation was in my mouth for several hours afterwards. I'm not sure who is in charge of the Kitchen there but to let something leave the kitchen of a Restaurant that but they need to be replaced. NO I WOULD NOT go back to that Restaurant no matter how fancy it is. And that's why I only gave it "ONE STAR"!!! read more

I come here frequently. My only complaint is that they change the menu way too often. I will fall in love with a dish only for it to disappear shortly after. The food quality is pretty consistent though. Which is surprising despite how often their menu changes. That said, I've never not enjoyed my meal. We got the garlic bread with ricotta to start, and it is by far my favorite. This last time I was desperate to have a spicy red sauce pasta that they had awhile ago, that has been discontinued but , the waiter told the kitchen to make my spaghetti spicy. I enjoyed it however it doesn't replace the dish they use to have. We got the chicken piccata which has the perfect amount of capers. Their summer cocktails are really good!
