    Truffle Fries

Delightfully different burger toppings that work very well together. Will definitely be back to try a few more off the menu. Make sure you put a pin drop for Hanger as my map app took me to the back of the building. Glad I found it bc it was delicious and the staff very friendly

Food truck at the domain that has burgers. We got the Argentinian, the French burger, as well as the truffle fries. All were okay and worth a try. There are also other food trucks here.

    Signs of a great burger

We came here as one of several things to celebrate my Birthday. It was in early January but due to my job there is almost no time to celebrate it then as it is our busy time. This was the food truck in the domain area by IPIC and Museum of Illusions. There are several trucks in the same area and picnic tables around them, some in shade, some with full sun. Some had umbrellas so you had several options. I got the American burger and as I am plain and simple just got the sauce, mayo, bacon, and cheese. In case you are curious there was no options for how you want it cooked but they do an amazing job but I know some people may still want that option. The burger was fantastic and the fries are really good as well. SHANA SAYS: My husband and I aren't typically huge food truck people but we wanted to try the highly rated That Burger and WOW was that a good call! I had the French Burger as is, he had the American Burger without most toppings (he left the bacon, mayo, and cheese). We are definitely going back to try more of their offerings. Standouts from the French Burger: pillowy bun, Toppings (brie, arugula, mushrooms, jam, truffle mayo) are a perfect balance of savory and sweet that perfectly compliment the burger. You order on an Ipad. I don't remember there being an opportunity to specify how you want your burger done, but if there is, don't get snooty about it. Just take it as it comes. They know what they're doing! Thank you Shana! As she stated the hamburger buns were also impressive. You don't interact with the staff much but they have a tip jar and options for tips on the Ipad. They deserve it, they take a name on the pad and come out to call your name and deliver the food to your table. They do have some plasticware, if like my wife you need it. This was a really good place and I am glad we managed to get her. We will be back. I know they have other locations and maybe we can hit up one of them.

    Cheeseburger add- ons

I ordered a cheeseburger and they attempted to mislead me that the cheese was extra. Their entire menu is basically à la carte. The burger is good, just naked if you only want to spend $10 for a burger.

    The That German Burger

Fantastic hamburger spot! I ordered the German Burger and it was sooooooo good. The pretzel bun was delicious and the burger toppings were so savory. Fries were good but what you'd expect. Service was friendly- they speak fluent English and Spanish. Plenty of parking and pic nic tables for seating. Its a cute little mini food truck area outside domain. One thing to note- this is a food truck run by two guys working hard. People seemed irritated that during the dinner rush (they get busy!) it was 15-30 min to get your order. If that doesn't fit in your schedule Id recommend going during off peak times or ordering ahead.

A busy yummy food truck, please come with patience as they are fairly popular and the wait to get your food can take awhile on a weekend night! We heard great things about this burger food truck and it held up to our expectations of a great burger. I ordered the Argentinian burger with regular fries. The burger has great flavor the chimichurri was a nice add and wasn't overly oily it went well with the burger. My only criticism is that it was a bit too salty overall. The regular fries were okay but could have been a bit more crisper, they are seasoned with spice and maybe seaweed seasoning. A decent amount of picnic tables shared amongst two other food carts for you to dine at if you prefer that over takeout.

That burger is a food truck that sits on domain drive. The service is pretty standard, and the staff took about 10 minutes to make our burgers. We got "That American Burger" and "That French Burger", as well as some truffle fries. The American burger had a delicious original sauce on it, and you could definitely taste the truffle in the truffle fries. However, the real kicker was the French burger. I never would have imagined jam belonging on a burger, but the mixture of sweet and slightly sour jam added depth to the patty and meat juice in a way that caught me off guard. The only reason I knocked a star off is the price. After tax and tip, it came out to around $20 a burger, which is pretty steep. I would still recommend a visit, and if you do come I would definitely suggest getting the French burger.

*This is for the Cedar Park truck at the Good Lot* Was nervous to try this place as they had a LOT of social media influencers post about it...so much so that it definitely seemed they were paying for the good press and it might not be genuine. But I'm happy to report that the food was delicious! We ordered a German, a French, a regular Cheeseburger, and Truffle fries. The fries were very good, a big portion and toppings evenly layered. Even as a non-fry lover I ate every last bite. We were with friends who hadn't gotten their food yet, so sadly couldn't eat right when ours was hot because we were waiting out of politeness. But both burgers were really good! Terrific mixes of flavor on both, and burgers well-seasoned and cooked. I want to come again by myself so I can focus more fully on tasting vs conversation, but they're definitely in the upper echelon of burgers in the Austin area for me. I was nervous about the brie on the French but it didn't have a strong flavor and was more there for creaminess (which I was hoping for!). I'll be back! I will say, we came on Mother's Day with our kids and once we all figured out what we wanted and I went to order, MANY of the items listed were actually unavailable. ALL the hot dogs, the chicken tenders, etc. It made for a sad kid when we had to pivot on the spot to a grilled cheese, so that wasn't great. In future, I wish they would show which items are unavailable BEFORE you get to the order kiosk.

Honestly some of the best (veggie) burgers I ever tried The Brie cheese & jam burger seems like an odd combo but all patties can be swapped with a veggie one and I had to try it. Honestly this combo is a match made in heaven - my bf gets the normal Brie & jam burger and loves it as well. I HIGHLY recommend you give this place a try. Service is always fast and the ambiance is cute. Limited seating in front of the food truck but a definite must try!

I learned something new today. I didn't realize that food trucks existed inside the Domain, but I found three of them. I was hungry for a burger so I tried That Burger. It didn't start off very well because the QR code for ordering takes you to a Chinese Wikipedia page. The POS system was messed up so one of the chefs took my order. The truck advertises fresh Angus beef and let me tell you these hamburgers are awesome. I ordered the Mexican burger, which comes with queso fresco, guacamole, and chipotle, mayo on top of a potato bun. The burger was amazing, cooked perfectly medium rare. It was so tender it was just about falling apart. The other ingredients really enhance this dish. The queso fresco was not melted, but very soft and crumbly. The guacamole was clearly freshly made, and there were a few nice chunks of avocado in the spread. It's all brought together with the mayo nicely spiced and nestled in that potato bun. The fries were also freshly cut and lightly seasoned and crispy without being crunchy. Prices are very reasonable here with a burger and fries for just $15 or $16. You won't find that in too many places in Austin. Super fast service and very friendly. Highly recommended.

As much as I love salt, you know it is bad when I think something is too salty. Burger wasn't bad, it was OK. Not great as the reviews led me to believe. Obviously, I'm in the minority, but my itch has been satisfied.

I am absolutely in love with this place. Now, this review is about the food truck that is located at The Good Lot, between Jonestown and Cedar Park. There isn't an option to write a review about that specific location, so just an FYI. That said, I can't imagine the service and food are that different between these locations. On to the food. I feel in love with this place when I tried their hot dogs. I am a hot dog lover; if that's on the menu, I am ordering those wieners. To say I was in heaven is an understatement. These dogs melted in my mouth. Everything about them was delicious. From the correct condiment to use on dogs, mustard, to the bun itself. Every bit left me wanting more. I almost ordered a third wiener despite being stuffed. I would allow gluttony to take me over for these wieners. My wife and I have now eaten at this food truck twice, and both instances we felt full, euphoric, and transcended the human species as new beings. Yes, it is that good. Which is wild to say about a place that just servers burgers and dogs. Are you a hot dog lover? Do you hang out on hot dog related forums online? Then this place is for you and you have to check it out. I promise you will not regret it, but your wallet will because you'll want to buy them out of all their wieners.

Absolutely the best burger in Austin, fries are tiptop as well! I've tried almost all the burgers and the French and Argentinian are my standouts. The owner's stories are really interesting and cool, check out their website for details. Whenever I order the owners or workers who are there, are always very friendly and make the experience a good one. They have a few picnic tables with umbrellas they share with another truck. If you're going close to closing time, call ahead and make sure they still have burgers available sometimes they run out early.

I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. The few negative reviews mentioned bland burgers, but the positive ones say these are the best burgers in town. I thought I couldn't be unlucky enough to be in the minority and receive bland burgers, but, boy, was I wrong! NO SEASONING IN THE PATTIES!! Not even salt? If they had just seasoned the patties like they seasoned their fries, my experience would be completely different. An easy 5 stars. But nope. A solid 2, only because of everything other than the patties. We came at around 8pm on a Saturday night and were the only customers, so maybe that should've been a sign. Also the lot felt kinda sketchy in the dark. Idk if I would have wanted to be there alone at night. Food was also ready in 10 minutes, like the guy told us. FRIES: Thick cut, well-seasoned, good. Looked like a steak seasoning on the fries. I liked it, but since they were thick, the center of the fries were bland, unfortunately. Maybe it would've been less noticeable if we ate them right away. Large serving though. My bf and I only got one combo and couldn't finish the fries with each of our burgers. The burgers are big, at 4 inches wide. THOUSAND ISLAND BURGER: I liked it at first because of the thousand island, but for the bites that didn't have it, I noticed that the patty didn't taste seasoned...like at all. I was shocked at how bland it was without the dressing. MUSHROOM BURGER: The mushrooms had no flavor, probably weren't seasoned at all. The burger, overall, was also very bland. Unseasoned patty here too. The ingredients felt fresh, but it was missing the flavor we were expecting. Really disappointing. They gave ketchup packets in the bag, but we didn't remember they were in there before finishing our burgers. It probably would've really helped, but the burgers shouldn't have needed it to be good.

One of the misses has been some BBQ spots; some places that I was hyped for, disappointed me. I came in with an open mind to LeRoy and Lewis, seeing that they were more "new school" barbeque. I also came in prepared: I saw many food bloggers do their reviews, so I was familiar with some of their offerings. For my order, I ordered doubly: I got the Monday Special L&L Burger for $10 and Beef Tallow Fried Chips for $3. On top of that, I also got the 2MEATS/2SIDES Plate at $25. If you want to order a premium meat, each order is an additional $3. My plate totaled $31, and with the Burger & Fries, the total came out to $44. MUCH BETTER VALUE COMPARED TO *cough* OTHER BBQ PITS IN THE AREA... If you are ever in Austin on a Monday, you have to stop by L&L for their special Monday Burger deal. You'll get this amazing smoked burger --- made with 1/2 lb. brisket patty, grilled onions, pickles, on a toasted martin's potato roll --- and it SLAPS. The smoke hits you instantly, along with how juicy a patty it is. For the plate, for my sides I got the Frito Pie & the Kale Caesar Slaw. Both these sides are unique and are flavorful accompaniments to the BBQ. Frito pie is fun & has DEPTH, while the Kale Slaw is refreshing after eating so much heavy BBQ. On to the meats: L&L were already sold out of the famous beef cheeks, so for my two meats I got the Tri Tip and the Flat Iron Steak. OH MY GOD. Both options were so immensely flavorful, smoky, and moist. I was completely entranced at how delicious these meats were. For dessert, because why not --- I got the cheddar cheesecake with apple butter. It was oddly, partially savory but I think it was meant to be. The apple butter carried it to the perfect "dessert territory". All in all, I am GRATEFUL AND SATISFIED. Spoke to some employees --- the nicest in the world! They truly care about the craft. Restaurant is clean, and if you come at the "right time" --- spacious when necessary. LeRoy and Lewis --- I see the vision!
